1 General Description and Safety
1.1 To t e user
Granule Smart®is a Granule pot washing ma hine – a pot washing ma hine for ommer ial
kit hens that is designed for washing pots and pans.
This manual is your guide for the orre t use of the Granule Smart®pot washing ma hine.
GRANULDISK re ommends that you study the manual thoroughly to be sure that the ma hine is
installed and used orre tly and safely.
Ensure that the manual is always available during the whole life of the ma hine.
GRANULDISK a epts no responsibility for damage to the equipment or other damage or injury
aused by not following the dire tions in this manual.
1.2 Safety regulations
The ma hine uses hot water. Avoid onta t with the skin as there is a risk for s alding!
Do not open the door during a wash y le! Risk of burn.
The plasti in the Granules is approved for use in onjun tion with food.
There is a risk of slipping if Granules are left on the floor.
Formaldehyde, whi h is dangerous if inhaled, may be formed if the Granules at h fire.
Regarding the handling of detergent in the manual, please see the manufa turer’s instru tions.
It is not allowed to sit or stand on the door.

Start up
1. Empty the Granule Colle tor with
PowerGranules into the left part of the wash
tank. Basket wheel and tank grid need to
be taken out (Figure 1 Granule filling).

3. Put the basket wheel in pla e (Figure 3

4. Close the drain valve on the right hand side
of the ma hine (Figure 4 Drain valve).
5. Swit h on the main ele tri al swit h.

Filling wit water
1. Close the door.
2. Press the Confirm (1) button in order to fill
the wash tank.
Fill wash tank?
3. The ma hine will now fill with water and
heat up to the orre t temperature. On the
panel, the diodes for programme sele tion
(3-5) flash out of sequen e with the diodes
for washing with or without Granules (6-7)
during filling. The following message is
displayed:

4. Filling and heating take about 20 minutes
(standard; hot water onne tion, +55 °C).
For optional old water onne tion (+10 to
12 °C), filling and heating take about 40
minutes. If the orre t temperature has not
been attained in the wash tank after filling,
the following message is displayed;

Preparing utensils
1. Empty and s rape off all food remains
before loading the utensils (see Figure 7
S rape off food).
• No soaking or s rubbing is needed.
• No usage of hand-soap or similar (to
avoid foaming whi h ould lead to
extended problem)
2. Pots and pans ontaining moist protein-ri h
food remains may need a splash of water
before being loaded into the ma hine.

Loading utensils
All utensils must be loaded with the inside fa ing the spray pipes, thus outwards. It is important that
all items are firmly in pla e when being washed.

Loading t e basket
Take the basket half way out of the ma hine (the
basket standing partly on the door.)
When the basket is loaded with pots and pans,
slide the wash basket into the ma hine. The
basket is designed so that you learly feel when
the basket is pla ed orre tly on the basket
wheel.
Che k that nothing is sti king out from the
basket’s sides or bottom. The basket rotation
must not be hindered.

Basket lift
Through the built in basket lift, the basket an
smoothly be taken out onto the door (integrated
table) for loading and unloading.

Standard was basket (19999)
Capa ity: 6 GN 1/1 65 mm or 3 GN 1/1 up to 200
mm + 3 GN 1/1 up to 65 mm. Equipped with small
hooks whi h enables up to 12 small ontainers
(1/4, 1/6, 1/9) to be loaded dire tly into the wash
basket. See Figure 10 Standard wash basket.

Choose among GN 1/4, GN 1/6, GN 1/9. See

Insert for trays (19992)
To be pla ed inside standard wash basket
(19999). Holds 2 GN 2/1 or, 6 baking trays
600x400 mm up to 20 mm edge and 2 GN 1/1
sized trays, up to 16 grids, up to 8 hopping
boards and GN 1/1 lids.Figure 12 Insert for trays

Holder for bowls & pots wit integrated ladle
older (13756)
To be pla ed inside standard wash basket
(19999). Capa ity: up to 5-6 bowls or pots.
Containers from approx 60 mm to 170 mm deep
an be washed.
Possible to load ladles, whisks, spatulas and
similar in the net basket in the middle of the
holder. Height of ladles up to 500 mm.
This a essory is pla ed in the standard wash
basket, small pegs in the bottom of the basket
hold it in pla e. See Figure 14 Holder for pots
and bowls.

Flexible pot older (13789)
Rubber strap with two hooks. Rubber strap to be
pla ed around pot and hooked on to the basket.
Be areful when fastening and releasing the
rubber bands as the hooks may ause harm.

Multiflex older for saucepans, small bowls,
sieves (20554)
To be pla ed inside standard wash basket
(19999). Capa ity: up to 3-4 sau epans or up to

Pot basket (21423)
Holds 2 large pots (200 mm) or 1 large pot (400
mm) Pla ed in ma hine instead of Standard
wash basket. See.

When pla ing one large pot in the Pot basket,
use one or two Flexible pot holders to fixate the
pot.
Hook the rubber band as shown in the pi ture
(Figure 18 Pot basket). Wrap it around the pot
and hook on to the bar on the other side.

Control Panel
1. Confirm button is used to answer “yes” to a
question shown in the display window
2. The Stop button is used to reset potential
alarms.
It is also used to enter sleep mode. After 30
se onds the display light goes out and the
ma hine goes into sleep mode. The Stop
button’s red diode stays lit during sleep
mode, but all fun tions in the ma hine are
dea tivated.
Push any button to rea tivate the ma hine.
In sleep mode t ere is no eating of t e
was tank or rinse tank.

1. Press the Confirm button (1)
• If temperature is lower than 65 °C in wash tank at the time of the first start, on e the wash
tank has been filled, the ma hine will ontinue heating.
• Washing at a too low temperature in reases the risk of foaming and the items not being
hygieni ally lean.
• Reprogramming may be arried out by authorised personnel only.
