READ AND SAVE THESE INSTRUCTIONS
Please read and understand this entire manual before attempting to assemble, operate or install the product.
• When using an existing outlet box, be sure the box is securely attached to the building structure and can
support the full weight of the fan, so to avoid potential serious injury or death.
• All wiring must be in accordance with the National Electrical Code “ANSI/NFPA 70-1999” and local electrical
codes. Electrical installation should be performed by a qualied licensed electrician.
• DO NOT use bulbs with wattage greater than the maximum value stated on the xture and in this manual.
Using a higher wattage bulb than specied will increase xture temperature and cause risk of re.
• Disconnect the electrical supply circuit to the fan before installing kit.
• Electrical diagrams are for reference only.
• The net weight of this fan including the light kit is: 13.27 lbs.
WARNING
• ELECTRIC SHOCK HAZARD - To reduce the risk of electric shock, do not use this fan with any solid-state
speed control device.
• ELECTRIC SHOCK HAZARD - To reduce the risk of electric shock, make sure the electricity has been turned
off at the circuit breaker or fuse box before beginning installation.
• PERSONAL INJURY HAZARD - To reduce the risk of personal injury, do not bend the blade brackets when
installing the brackets, balancing the blades, or cleaning the fan. DO NOT insert foreign objects in between
the rotating fan blades.
• FIRE, ELECTRIC SHOCK OR PERSONAL INJURY HAZARD - To reduce the risk of re, electric shock,
or personal injury, mount to an outlet box marked “ACCEPTABLE FOR FAN SUPPORT OF 35 lbs OR
LESS” and use the mounting screws provided with the outlet box. Most outlet boxes commonly used for
the support of lighting xtures are not acceptable for fan support and may need to be replaced. Consult a
qualied licensed electrician if in doubt.
• PERSONAL INJURY HAZARD - To reduce the risk of injury to persons, install fan so the blades are 7 ft.
above the oor.
PREPARATION
Before beginning assembly of product, make sure all parts are present. Compare parts
with package contents list and hardware contents list. If any part is missing or damaged,
do not attempt to assemble the product.
Estimated Assembly Time: 45 minutes.
Tools Required for Assembly (not included): Phillips screwdriver, step ladder, electrical
tape, pliers, wire cutters, wire strippers.
Helpful Tools (not included): Electrical circuit tester.

ASSEMBLY INSTRUCTIONS
1. Determine mounting method to use.
A - Downrod Mount (standard or angled ceiling)
B - Closemount (normal ceiling only)
IMPORTANT: lf using the angle mount, check
to make sure the ceiling angle is not steeper
than 20°.
2. Remove the rubber motor stoppers (O) from
the bottom of the fan motor assembly (G)
by loosening the three screws. Discard the
rubber motor stopper and screws.
3. Remove the mounting bracket (A) from the
canopy (B) by loosening the four screws
on the top of the canopy (B). Remove the
two non-slotted screws and save, then
loosen the slotted screws. This will enable
you to remove the mounting bracket (A).

4. Install the mounting bracket (A) to the outlet box
(not included), sliding the mounting bracket (A)
over the two outlet box screws (not included).
Securely tighten the two outlet box screws.
IMPORTANT: If using the angle mount, make
sure open end of mounting bracket (A) is
installed facing the ceiling.

ASSEMBLY INSTRUCTIONS
DOWNROD STYLE FAN MOUNTING
1. Remove pin and clip from downrod assembly
(D) and save.
2. Insert downrod assembly (D) through
canopy (B), canopy cover (C). Thread
wires from the motor housing assembly (G)
through downrod (D).
Follow mounting instructions for “Downrod
Style Fan Mounting” or “Closemount Style
Fan Mounting”, depending on mounting
method (A or B) chosen in step 1 on previous
page.

3. Loosen the two set screws from the yoke on
the top of the motor housing (G). Slip downrod
assembly (D) into housing yoke, aligning holes
in downrod assembly (D) and yoke. Insert the
pin through yoke and downrod assembly (D).
Insert clip into pin until it snaps into place.
Tighten set screws.
4. Install hanger ball on the top of downrod (D)
into mounting bracket (A) opening. Rotate fan
until slot on hanger ball engages the tab on
the mounting bracket (A).
1. Remove the canopy cover (C) from the
bottom of the canopy (B).

WARNING: Be careful when aligning the tab
to the slot! If not fully engaged, there is a
possibility of fan falling, which may result in
serious injury or death.

2. Remove three of the six screws and
lockwashers (every other one) securing
the motor collar to the top of the fan motor
housing (G).
3. Place the rubber gasket (EE) over the
remaining screws. Pull wires through hole in
canopy (B), and attach canopy (B) to motor
housing (G). Align the mounting holes with
the holes in the motor and fasten using the
three screws removed in previous step.
Tighten the screws securely.
4. Hang the fan on the hook on the mounting
bracket (A) using one of the non-slotted
holes in the canopy (B).

2. To connect wires, twist wire ends together
and screw wire with wire connectors (AA) in a
clockwise direction. Tape the wire connectors
(AA) and wires together with electrical tape (not
included). Be sure no bare wire or wire strands
are visible after making connection.
1. Remove the fan from the hook on the
mounting bracket (A). Align the locking slots
of the canopy (B) with the two screws in the
mounting bracket (A). Push up to engage
the slots and turn clockwise to lock in place.
Immediately tighten the two screws rmly.

Place GREEN and WHITE connections on
opposite side of box from the BLACK and
BLUE connections. The splices should be
turned upward and pushed carefully up into
the outlet box.

2. Install the two screws that were removed in
previous step and tighten securely.
3. Directly align the locking slots of the canopy
(B) with the two screws in the mounting
bracket (A). Push up to engage the slots and
turn clockwise to lock in place. Immediately
tighten the two screws rmly. Install the two
screws that were removed in previous step
and tighten securely.
4. Attach a blade (F) to a blade bracket (E)
using the blade screws (DD).
Repeat for remaining blade assemblies.

1. Connect the BLACK and BLUE wires from
the fan to the house BLACK wire. Connect
the WHITE wire from fan to the house WHITE
wire. Connect all GROUNDED (GREEN)
wires together from fan to the house GREEN/
GROUND wire.
NOTE: BLACK wire is hot power for fan.
BLUE wire is hot power for light kit. WHITE
wire is common for fan and light kit. GREEN
wire is ground wire. If house wires are
different colors than referred to above, stop
immediately. Consult a licensed electrician to
determine proper wiring.

6. Remove the three screws from the switch
housing cover (I).
7. Attach the switch housing cover (I) to the switch
housing (H). Align holes in switch housing
cover (I) with holes on outer edge of the switch
housing (H). (Note: The wide gap in the edge
of the switch housing cover (I) should align
with reverse switch on the switch housing
(H).) Re-insert screws and secure all screws.
Add fan pull chain extension (BB). If using fan
WITHOUT the light kit, assembly is complete.

8. Remove the plug from the center hole in the
switch housing cover (I).
9. Remove the hex nut from the light kit (J).
10. Insert the black and white wires from the
light kit (J) through the center hole in the
switch housing cover (I). Hold wires taut
while installing switch housing cover (I) to
prevent the wire from twisting. Tighten the
light kit (J) onto the switch housing cover (I).
Install the hex nut removed in Step 9.

5. Fasten the blade bracket (E) to the motor by
inserting the alignment post into the slot on the
bottom of the motor housing (G) and tightening
the blade bracket screws with washers.
Please note that the blade bracket screws with
washers are pre-installed into the blade bracket
(E). Repeat the step for the remaining blade
brackets (E).

If you wish to use the fan WITHOUT the light
kit, continue to Step 7.
If you wish to use the fan WITH light kit, skip to
Step 8.

FINAL INSTALLATION
12. Attach the switch housing cover (I) to the
switch housing (H). Align holes in switch
housing cover (I) with holes on outer edge
of the switch housing (H). (Note: Make sure
the notch in the edge of the switch housing
cover (I) clears the reversing switch in the
switch cup of the fan-motor assembly (G)).
Re-insert screws and secure all screws.
13. Install bulbs (N) into sockets.
NOTE: This fan has an energy-saving wattage
limiter included. If you replace the candelabra-
base bulbs with over 190 watts, the light will
automatically turn off. Please ensure the bulb
wattage is always below 190 watts.

14. Remove the rubber washer, hex nut, bowl
cap (L) and nial (M) from the light kit (J).
15. Place glass bowl (K) on pipe until ush
against metal disk. Thread the fan pull chain
through the side hole of the glass bowl (K),
making sure pull chain hangs clear and is
not tangled in the light kit (J) socket. Thread
light kit pull chain through the center hole of
the glass bowl (K). Place rubber washer and
hex nut removed in Step 14 onto the pipe
and tighten securely. Pass the fan pull chain
through the side hole of the bowl cap (L).
Then place the bowl cap (L) and nial (M)
over the pipe and tighten securely. Attach the
fan pull chain extension (BB) and light kit pull
chain extension (CC).
NOTE: The side hole of the glass bowl (K),
the side hole of the bowl cap (L) and the
three-speed adjustable switch on the switch
housing (H) should be in alignment; if not, the
fan pull chain will be stuck and the fan won’t
work.

11. Connect the white wire from the light kit (J)
to the white wire from the switch housing (H).
Connect the black wire from the light kit (J)
to the blue wire from the switch housing (H).
Make sure the wire connectors are secure.
WARNING: To avoid possible re or shock,
the connectors should not be removed unless
a light kit will be immediately installed and
power should be turned off prior to removal of
the light kit.

TROUBLESHOOTING
CARE AND MAINTENANCE
• To reduce the risk of re, electric shock or injury to persons, care and maintain this fan.
• Important: Shut off main power supply before beginning any maintenance.
• Do not use water or detergents when cleaning the fan or fan blades. A dry dust cloth or
lightly dampened cloth will be suitable for most cleaning.
• Clean fan housing with only a soft brush or lint-free cloth to avoid scratching the nish.
Clean blades with a lint-free cloth. You may occasionally apply a light coat of furniture
polish to blades for added protection.
• At least twice a year, tighten all screws and lower canopy to check mounting bracket
screws and downrod assembly.

When the season changes ,you may want to change the direction the fan blades spin. To
switch between clockwise and counterclockwise rotation, ip the fan reversal switch.
NOTE: Wait for fan to stop before reversing switch.
A. In cooler weather, clockwise rotation
creates an upward airow, which
moves hot air from the ceiling into the
room. Push the switch UP and see a
Snowake icon.
B. In warmer weather, counterclockwise
rotation creates downward airow,

The manufacturer warrants this fan to be free from defects in workmanship and material present at
time of shipment from the factory for lifetime limited from the date of purchase. This warranty applies
only to the original purchaser. The manufacturer agrees to correct such defect at no charge or at our
option replace the ceiling fan with a comparable or superior model.
To obtain warranty service, present a copy of your sales receipt as proof of purchase. All cost of
removal and reinstallation are the expressed responsibility of the purchaser. Any damage to the
ceiling fan by accident, misuse, or improper installation, or by afxing accessories not produced by
the manufacturer of the fan, are at the purchaser’s own responsibility. The manufacturer assumes
no responsibility whatsoever for fan installation during the lifetime limited warranty. Any service
performed by an unauthorized person will render the warranty invalid.
Due to varying climatic conditions, this warranty does not cover changes in brass nish, rusting,
pitting, tarnishing, corroding, or peeling. Brass nish fans maintain their beauty when protected from
varying weather conditions. Any glass provided with this fan is not covered by this warranty. Any
replacement of defective parts for the ceiling fan must be reported within the rst year from the date
of purchase. For the balance of the warranty, call our customer service department at 1-800-643-
0067 for return authorization and shipping instructions so that we may repair or replace the ceiling
fan. Any fan or parts returned improperly packaged is the sole responsibility of the purchaser. There
is no further expressed warranty. The manufacturer disclaims any and all implied warranties.
The duration of any implied warranty which can not be disclaimed is limited to the lifetime limited
period as specied in our warranty. The manufacturer shall not be liable for incidental, consequential
or special damages arising at or in connection with product use or performance except as may
otherwise be accorded by law. This warranty gives you specic legal rights an you also have other
rights which may vary from state to state. This warranty supersedes all prior warranties.
Note: A small amount of “wobble” is normal and should not be considered a defect.

Lea y comprenda completamente este manual antes de intentar ensamblar, usar o instalar el producto.
• Si utiliza una caja de salida existente, asegúrese de que esté bien sujeta a la estructura del edicio y que
pueda sostener el peso del ventilador, a n de evitar posibles lesiones graves o la muerte.

INSTALACION INICIAL
1. Determine el método de instalación que
utilizará.
A - Montaje de varilla (techos normales o en
ángulo)
B -Montaje cerrado (sólo para techos
normales)
IMPORTANTE: Si realiza el montaje en
ángulo, inclinación superior a los 20°.
2. Retire los topes de goma del motor (O) desde
la parte inferior del motor del ventilador (G)
soltando los tres tornillos. Desech el tope de
goma del motor y los tornillos.
3. Retire la abrazadera de montaje (A) de la
base (B) aojando los cuatro tornillos de la
parte superior de la base (B). Retire los dos
tornillos sin ranura y guarde, luego aoje los
tornillos ranurados. Esto le permitirá retirar la
abrazadera de montaje (A).

4. Instale la abrazadera de montaje (A) en la
caja de salida (no se incluyen), deslizando la
abrazadera de montaje (A) por los dos tornillos
de la caja de salida (no se incluyen. Apriete

1. Retire el pasador y el sujetador del ensamble

3. Suelte los dos tornillos de jación de la

motor (G). Deslice el ensamble de la varilla
(D) en la horquilla de la carcasa, alineando

horquilla y el ensamble de la varilla (D). Luego,
inserte el sujetador en el pasador hasta que
calce a presión en su lugar, y ajuste los tornillos

4. Instale la bola para colgar en la parte superior
del ensamble de la varilla (D) en la abertura de la
abrazadera de montaje (A). Gire el ventilador hasta

1. Conecte el cable NEGRO y el AZUL del ventilador
al cable NEGRO de la caja. Luego, conecte el cable
BLANCO del ventilador al cable BLANCO de la caja.

NOTA: El conductor negro es el que proporciona

2. Para conectar los cables, tuerza sus extremos y
atorníllelos con conectores de cables (AA) en dirección
de las manecillas del reloj. Una los cables y los
conductores (AA) con cinta adhesiva. Los cables deben
separarse: el conductor de puesta a tierra y el conductor
de puesta a tierra del equipo hacia un lado de la caja de
salida, y el conductor sin puesta a tierra hacia el otro.
Asegúrese de que no haya cables desnudos ni visibles
después de hacer la conexión. Coloque las conexiones

de la carcasa del interruptor (H). (Nota: El
espacio en el borde de la cubierta de la carcasa
del interruptor (I) debe alinearse con el interruptor

Vuelva a insertar los tornillos y ajústelos. Agregue

13. Coloque las bombillas (N) en los
portalámparas.
NOTA: Este ventilador cuenta con un
fusible limitador que restringe el vataje
y ahorra energía. Si reemplaza las
bombillas base candelabro de por unas
de más de 190 vatios, su luz se apagará
automáticamente. Asegúrese de que
el vataje de las bombillas siempre sea
inferior a 190 vatios.

14. Retire la arandela de goma, la tuerca
hexagonal, la tapa de la pantalla (L) y el
remate (M) del kit de iluminación (J).
15. Coloque la pantalla de vidrio (K) en el tubo hasta
que esté al ras del disco metálico. Atornille la
cadena de tiro del ventilador por el agujero lateral
de la pantalla de vidrio (K) asegurándose de que la
cadena de tiro cuelgue libremente y no se enrede
en el portalámparas del kit de iluminación (J).
Atornille la cadena de tiro del kit de iluminación
por el agujero central de la pantalla de vidrio (K).
Coloque en el tubo la arandela de goma y la tuerca
hexagonal que retiró en el paso 14 y ajústelas
rmemente. Pase la cadena de tiro del ventilador

CUIDADO Y MANTENIMIENTO
• Para reducir el riesgo de incendios, descargas eléctricas o lesiones personales, trate
este ventilador con cuidado y realice el mantenimiento correspondiente.
• Importante: Antes de realizar cualquier trabajo de mantenimiento, desconecte el
suministro de electricidad.
• No utilice agua ni detergentes para limpiar el ventilador o las aspas. Se recomienda
utilizar un paño suave y seco o un paño levemente humedecido para limpiar el
producto.
• Limpie la carcasa del ventilador sólo con un cepillo suave o un paño sin pelusas para
evitar rayar el acabado. Limpie las aspas con un paño sin pelusas. De vez en cuando,
puede aplicar una na capa de pulidor para muebles en las aspas para darles más
protección.
• Al menos dos veces al año, ajuste todos los tornillos y baje la base para inspeccionar
los tornillos de la abrazadera de montaje y el ensamble de la varilla.
