HA-101 – User’s Instructions
GENERAL INTRODUCTION
HA-101 is a reliable car alarm system, which provides 2 designs to prevent the car
thieving. The first design is to use the loud siren. When any illegal intrusion happens,
the siren will sound loudly to warn the intruder. The second design is to use an
immobilisation system to disable the engine start. With the peripheral devices, the
system can provide the following main protection:
a. Ignition trigger: illegally turn IGNITION ON, the alarm will be triggered
b. Boot trigger: illegally open the boot, the alarm will be triggered.
c. Door trigger: illegally open the door, the alarm will be triggered.
d. AUX trigger: it can be used on any other additional sensor. For example:
bonnet trigger. Illegally open the bonnet, the alarm will be triggered.
e. UL trigger: abnormally moving inside the car, the alarm will be triggered.

3. ALARM PRIOD AND SOUNDING CYCLE
a. Whilst arming, if any detector is triggered, the siren will sound. For any single
trigger (e.g. open the door and close the door back), the siren will sound one
cycle only. (One cycle is: sound 27 seconds and stop 12 seconds.)
b. For the same arming period, and for each single detector (e.g. the door detector),
the system can only be triggered (single trigger) at most 10 times.
c. When continuous triggering (e.g. keep door open) happens on any detector, the
siren will sound 27 seconds and stop 12 seconds (this is one cycle) for 10 cycles.
d. For each individual detector, the number of sounding cycle can be accumulated in
the same arming period. (e.g. If open the door, and let the siren sound 5 cycles,
and close the door back, then of open the door again, it can only sound 5 cycles.)
e. After 10 cycles, the triggered detector will be bypassed. This detector will not be
triggered again in the same arming period.
4. DISARM
a. During arming, press button 1, the siren will chirp twice (soft chirp)
b. Hazard light will flash twice
c. LED off
d.
IMMOBILISATION will be mobilised again (recover the engineer starter) at the same time
Hence, if any trigger happens during arming, once disarmed (press button 1) the
siren will chirp 4 times and hazard light will flash 4 times. Besides, LED will flash to
report which sensor has been triggered. It can indicate different source of trigger.
Please see the table below.
Trigger source LED indication
Ignition Flash 6 times and pause and flash 6 times
Boot Flash 5 times and pause and flash 5 times
Door Flash 4 times and pause and flash 4 times
AUX sensor Flash twice and pause and flash twice
UL sensor Flash once and pause and flash once
e. After disarming, within 2 minutes, ‘if IGNITION is not ON’ the system will
automatically enter IMMOBILISATION
5. AUTOMATIC REARMING
When alarm is disarmed, if IGNITION is not turned ON / doors are not opened, 30
sec later, system will be automatically rearmed.

Note: Each time you enter the coding mode and finish any transmitter coding, the
system will exclude all previous coded transmitters.
MAINTENANCE
1. FALSE ALARM
Incorrect operation on the system or inappropriate adjustment for the ultrasonic
sensor may let to a false alarm. To prevent the false alarm always set and operate
the system according to user’s instruction. Make sure the sensibility of ultrasonic
sensor is in an appropriate degree. An over sensible adjustment is usually the
main reason to cause false alarm.
2. ACTIONS TO BE TAKEN IN THE EVENT OF FAILURE
Condition Possible reason Action to be taken
Remote control Run out of battery code Check the battery
not working cleaned by the fifth transmitter. (The coding again
system is designed to accept 4
transmitters at most. When the fifth
transmitter has finished coding, the
code for the first transmitter will be
automatically cleaned.)
Ultrasonic sensor 1. Has been by-passed 1. Set arming again
not working 2. Inappropriate sensibility adjustment 2. Readjust
Can not start Has been immobilised Use remote control
the engine or touch key to
disarm it
3. REMOTE CONTROL LOSS
In case of remote control (transmitter) loss, pls use the normal car key to open
the door. (This action will trigger the alarm). Then insert the touch key to the
touch key receptacle and take it out to disarm the system. The system is designed
to accept at most 4 transmitters at the same time. When the fifth transmitter is
coded, the code for the first transmitter will be cleaned. So, in case of transmitter
loss please use the spare transmitter out of the system.
Note: For replacement transmitters or touch keys, in case of any loss, contact the
dealer please. (REMOTE part no.: HA-12T & TOUCH KEY part no.: HA-120T)
4. REMINDER
a. Keep the main system box away from water (for example: while washing the car)
b. Try to avoid the direct water rinsing on the siren though it is waterproof.
c. Check battery first in case the remote control is not working. Do not knock, slap,
or do any strike on the remote control.

d. While changing the battery of the remote, make sure to use the correct type and
position it in the correct direction. It is recommended to change the battery at
least every 6 months. For HA-12T: use 27A alkaline battery.
e. If the car is not driven for a long time, it is recommended to start the engine
regularly to make sure the battery of the car can supply enough electricity to
the system.
f. If the car stops supplying power to the system (either the power supply system
has been cut or the car battery has been run out.), the siren will start sounding by
using its own back up battery until the battery is run out. In this case, unexpected
damage may possibly happen on the back up battery of the siren. To avoid the
damage, always make sure the car battery can provide enough electricity for the
recharging of the siren.
g. Contact the system provider for any unsure action on the system.
Warning!
Any unauthorised alternations or additions to the system my lead to the
malfunction of the system, which will invalidate the certificate and guarantee of
the product.
