1. Batteries of the five battery modules in a battery pack must have the same capacity. 7 Ah and
9 Ah batteries cannot be mixed together.
2. DC port 1 and DC port 2 of a battery pack are 6-pin PP45 terminals. One port connects to the
UPS or the previous battery pack, and the other port connects to the next battery pack. DC port
1 and DC port 2 have been connected in parallel inside. Do not connect them in series.

Scenario 2: Tower-Mounted

NOTE
The 6 kVA/10 kVA standard model can connect to one battery pack, and the long backup time model
can connect to a maximum of 13 battery packs. Battery packs cannot be shared in a parallel system.
Each of the positive and negative battery strings of the 15 kVA/20 kVA long backup time model
needs to connect at least one battery pack. If battery packs are not shared in a single UPS or a
parallel system, each of the positive and negative battery strings can connect to a maximum of 13
battery packs. If battery packs are shared in a parallel system, each of the positive and negative
battery strings can connect to a maximum of four battery packs.

4.1
1. The two battery ports on a battery pack have been connected in parallel inside. Do not connect
them in series.
2. The battery packs can be connected in parallel only if they are fully charged.

Installing Cables Between Battery Packs and a Single 6 kVA/10 kVA UPS
Each 6 kVA/10 kVA UPS with standard backup time can connect to one battery pack. Each 6
kVA/10 kVA UPS with long backup time connects to two battery packs at least and 13 battery packs
at most. The following figure shows how to connect cables when there are 13 battery packs.

Battery packs cannot be shared in a parallel system. The cable connection method between each
UPS and battery packs in a parallel system is the same as that for a single UPS. Each 6 kVA/10
kVA UPS with standard backup time can connect to one battery pack. Each 6 kVA/10 kVA UPS with
long backup time connects to two battery packs at least and 13 battery packs at most. The following
figure shows how to connect cables when there are 13 battery packs.

to each UPS should be the same.

4.3
The positive and negative battery strings of each 15 kVA/20 kVA UPS with long backup time require
respectively one battery pack at least and 13 battery packs at most.
The following figure shows cable connections when the positive and negative battery strings consist
of 13 battery packs respectively.

1. When each of the positive and negative battery strings of a 15 kVA/20 kVA UPS with long
backup time consists of one battery pack, the charge current needs to be set to 2 A or less.
2. The number of batteries in the positive battery string and that in the negative battery string
connected to a UPS should be the same.
NOTE
1. When connecting the battery packs and the UPS, connect cables in the following sequence,
as shown in the following figure.
a) Connect the parallel cables between the positive battery packs and between the
negative battery packs first.
b) connect the cables between the UPS and the battery packs: Connect the OT terminals to
the UPS battery ports and then connect the PP45 terminals to the positive and negative
battery packs.
2. The battery packs can be connected in parallel only if they are fully charged.

1. When battery packs are not shared in a 15 kVA/20 kVA UPS parallel system, the cable
connection method between each UPS and battery packs are the same as that for a single 15
kVA/20 kVA UPS. The positive and negative battery strings can respectively connect to a
maximum of 13 battery packs.
2. When battery packs are shared in a 15 kVA/20 kVA UPS parallel system, the positive and
negative battery strings can respectively connect to a maximum of four battery packs. The
following figure shows cable connections when the positive and negative battery strings consist
of four battery packs respectively.

Appendix: (Optional) Installing Batteries
Use dedicated insulated tools, and wear insulation gloves and protective clothing.
After connecting cables, install the delivered front panels for the battery packs.

1. Bind the cables where the positive
and negative terminals are close,
as shown in the preceding figure.
Otherwise, the cables may camber.
2. The negative cable of the battery
module that is connected to the
battery module wiring terminal is
long. Route it through the short
cables, as shown in the left figure.
5. Connect the negative battery cable of the
battery string on the fuse board to the battery
module wiring terminal.
3. Install the battery module and reinstall
the fastener of the fuse board with J2
upward.
4. Install battery cables at one side and bind
the cables, as shown in the following figure.

of the battery module. 2. Remove the fastener of the fuse board.

9. Reinstall the baffle plates on the top and
rear of the battery module.

with OT terminals of the fuse first, and then
connect the cables with parallel terminals of the
batteries.
6. Install the cable from the fuse board to the
negative battery terminal. 7. Install battery cables at the other side and connect the positive
battery cable of the battery string
to the battery module wiring
terminal.
