1 Getting to Know Your Phone
Your Phone
The following figure shows the appearance of your
phone and it is for your reference only.

Keys and Functions
Press… To…
zMake a call.
zAnswer an incoming call.
zView call logs in standby mode.
zEnd a call, or reject an incoming call.
zDisplay the function menu in standby
mode.
zReturn to the previous menu or standby
mode.
zPower on or power off the phone (by
pressing and holding it for about 3s).
zLock the keypad and screen, or light the
screen if the keypad and screen are locked.
zIncrease the volume ( ) or decrease the
volume ( ) in standby mode, during a call
or playing.
zMove the cursor up and down in the menu
list.

2 Getting Started
Installing the SIM Card and Battery
Ensure that the golden contact area on the SIM card is
facing downward, and the beveled corner is properly
aligned with the SIM card slot.

Installing the microSD Card
Charging the Battery
1. Connect the charger to an AC power socket.
2. Connect the charger to the charger jack on the
phone.
3. Wait until the battery is completely charged.
During the charging, the charging icon is displayed in
animation. When the charging icon becomes static,
the battery is fully charged.
4. Disconnect the charger from the phone.
5. Disconnect the charger from the AC power socket.

Using the Stylus
Your phone has a screen with tactility. You can use the
stylus tip to touch the screen to select items or input
characters.
zClick: Use the stylus tip to touch the screen once to
select an item or access a menu.
zDrag: Press the stylus tip onto the screen, and then
move the stylus to scroll the menus or pages.
Calibrating the Screen
The touch of stylus tip on the screen can be responded
accurately through screen calibration.
1. Press in standby mode.
2. Select “Settings﹥Phone﹥Calibration”。
3. Click the cross marks appear on the screen in
sequence according to the prompts to finish adjusting
the phone display.
When calibrating the screen, click the cross marks
exactly.
It will decide the definition of response to the click
and hand input.
Slide
You can slide the screen to perform convenient
operations.
zSlide up and down: to display the items in the menu
list.

zSlide left and right: to display the other page on the
function menu interface, or display the previous
picture or next picture when you are viewing the
pictures.
USB
After connecting to the PC with USB data cable, you
phone can be used as a USB mass storage device or a
USB modem.
microSD Card Reader
1. Install the microSD card to your phone.
2. Press in standby mode, and select
“Connectivity﹥USB mode﹥Udisk Mode”.
3. Connect your phone to the PC by using the USB cable.
4. The phone is recognized as a USB mass storage
device.
5. Read the files saved in the misroSD card directly.
USB-Based Synchronization and Internet Access
1. Press in standby mode, and select
“Connectivity﹥USB mode﹥Modem Mode”.
2. Connect your phone to the PC by using the USB cable.
3. Install the drivers and management program
included in the CD in the package.
4. Run the management program on your PC to operate
the USB based synchronization or access the
Internet.

To access the Internet by USB, make sure that
your PC supports the USB function and your SIM
card supports the Internet access service. You
need the username and password. For details,
connect your service provider.
Phone Lock
The phone lock protects your phone from unauthorized
use. By default, the phone lock function is disabled. You
can change the default phone lock code (0000) into any
numeric string in the range of four to eight digits.
Do remember your phone lock code. If you forget it,
contact the service center.
PIN and PUK
The personal identification number (PIN) protects your
SIM card from unauthorized use. The PIN unblocking
key (PUK) can unlock the blocked PIN. Both PIN and PUK
are delivered with the SIM card. For details, contact your
service provider.
If you enter wrong PINs for a specified number of times
consecutively, the phone asks you to enter the PUK.
If you enter wrong PUKs for a specified number of times
consecutively, the SIM card is invalidated permanently.
Contact your service provider for a new one.
Locking the Screen and Keypad
Press to lock the keypad and screen. To unlock
them, press to light the screen, and then click .

Entertainment
zCamera: to take pictures, or record videos.
zMusic: to play the audio files stored in the phone or
microSD card.
zVideos: to play the video files stored in the phone or
microSD card.
zFM Radio: to listen to the radio program.
zRecorder: to recorder audios.
zE-book: to read the ebook stored in the phone or
microSD card.
zJava: you can download and install the java
applications and games.
zGames: you can enjoy two funny games.

3 Voice Services
Making a Call
1. Open the number keypad in standby mode by
touching the screen.
2. Enter the phone number.
zTo make an international call, press and hold for
about 3s to enter the plus sign (+). Then enter the
international long distance code, country code or
region code, area code, and phone number in
sequence
zTo call an extension, enter the phone number, press
and hold for about 3s to insert P, and then enter
the extension number.
3. Press or click to dial the number.
4. Press to end the call.
zYou can also make a call through call logs,
contacts, and messages.
zDuring a call, press and to adjust the
volume.
Answering a Call
When there is an incoming call, you can do as follows:
zPress or click
to answer it.
zPress or click to reject it.

zClick to mute the speaker.

Text Input Modes
The text input panel is displayed on the bottom of screen.
Click the key with input modes to change the text input
mode.

Press once to enter a space, twice to enter 0, three times to
enter (.), and four times to enter (-) in multi-tap input
mode.
11 Press the key once to clear the letter on the left of the
cursor, and press and hold the key to clear all the letters at
a time.

Predictive Input Mode
In predictive input mode, enter a word as follows:
1. Press each key only once according to the spelling
sequence of the desired word.
The phone displays the commonly used word
according to the sequence of key presses.
2. Scroll to the desired word.
3. Click the word to enter it.
zPress to display commonly used
punctuations.
zPress to enter a space.
zAfter you enter a word or symbol, a space will be
added automatically.
Multi-tap Input Mode
In multi-tap input mode, you can press a key labeled
with the desired letter once to enter the first letter on

the key, twice to enter the second letter on the key, and
so on.
zPress repeatedly to select and enter
commonly used punctuations.
zPress once to enter a space, twice to enter 0,
three times to enter (.), and four times to enter
(-).
Entering Digits
zIn symbol input mode, click the keys to enter
numbers directly.
zIn predictive input mode, click the number key, and
then click the number.
zIn multi-tap input mode, press the number key
consecutively until the desired digit appears on the
screen.
Entering Symbols
Press to change into symbol input mode, and
display the symbol list and panel. Click the desired
symbol to enter it.
In symbol input mode, you can also perform the
following operations:

to lock or unlock the symbol input mode.
If the symbol mode is locked, you can enter symbols
continually. Otherwise, the input mode is changed into
the previous mode after you entering a symbol.

5 Warnings and Precautions
This section contains important information pertaining
to the operating instructions of your device. It also
contains information about how to use the mobile safely.
Read this information carefully before using your device.
Electronic Device
Power off your device if using the device is prohibited.
Do not use the device when it causes danger or
interference with electronic devices.
Medical Device
zPower off your device and follow the rules and
regulations set forth by the hospitals and health care
facilities.
zPacemaker manufacturers recommend that a
minimum distance of 15 cm be maintained between a
device and a pacemaker to prevent potential
interference with the pacemaker. If you are using a
pacemaker, use the device on the opposite side of the
pacemaker and do not carry the device in your front
pocket.
zSome wireless devices may affect the performance of
the hearing aids. For any such problems, consult your
service provider.
Potentially Explosive Atmospheres
Switch off your device in any area with a potentially
explosive atmosphere, and comply with all signs and
instructions. Areas that may have potentially explosive
atmospheres include the areas where you would
normally be advised to turn off your vehicle engine.

Triggering of sparks in such areas could cause an
explosion or fire, resulting in bodily injuries or even
deaths. Do not switch on the device at refueling points
such as service stations. Comply with restrictions on the
use of radio equipment in fuel depots, storage, and
distribution areas, and chemical plants. Also, adhere to
restrictions in areas where blasting operations are in
progress. Before using the device, watch out for areas
that have potentially explosive atmosphere that are
often, but not always, clearly marked. Such locations
include areas below the deck on boats, chemical transfer
or storage facilities and areas where the air contains
chemicals or particles such as grain, dust, or metal
powders. Ask the manufacturers of vehicles using
liquefied petroleum gas (such as propane or butane) if
this device can be safely used in their vicinity.
Traffic Security
Observe local laws and regulations while using the
device. Also, if using the device while driving a vehicle,
please comply with the following guidelines:
zConcentrate on driving. Your first responsibility is to
drive safely.
zDo not talk on the device while driving. Use
hands-free accessories.
zWhen you have to make or answer a call, park the
vehicle at the road side before using your device.
zRF signals may affect electronic systems of motor
vehicles. For more information, consult the vehicle
manufacturer.
zIn a motor vehicle, do not place the device over the
air bag or in the air bag deployment area. Otherwise,
