Diana II Comfort
Intended use
The Diana II Comfort is an electrically operated
li that provides support to clients while they
are lied from their bed, in/out of a chair or
wheelchair, on/o the toilet and even from the
oor. The Diana II Comfort is a stable and com-
pact li with a high maximum user weight, also
allowing heavier people to be safely supported
when they are being lied. Our extensive range
of E-clip slings provide the required support.
This li is suitable for many types of clients and
liing situaons, due to the large range of the
li arm and the adjustable 4-point spreader
bar. Using the 4-point spreader bar allows the
caregiver to place the client into the desired
posion, varying from a recumbent to a sing
posion. A praccal soluon is the manually
operated spreader bar: it can provide three
posions: recumbent, semi-recumbent and
sing. For frequent use, we recommend an
electric 4-point spreader bar, where every angle
inbetween recumbent and sing is a possibility.
It is easy to maneuver the li thanks to the
large, high-quality twin castors. The red pedal is
used to easily and quickly operate the brakes on
the castors.
The electric leg operaon allows the li to be
placed around a chair/toilet to get as close

the Diana Comfort II with one of our slings.
Unique are our E-clips for aaching the slings.
The universal E-clip is a proven system for
fastening a sling to a li, thereby signicantly
reducing the risk of error. The clip is placed
around the snap hooks of the hanger bar and
closes with an audible 'click'. It is a signal to the
caregiver that the clip is securely aached and
cannot unexpectedly become loose.

Safety warnings
Only trained professionals can make the
decision whether or not this li is appropriate
to use. This product can only be used under
the supervision of a caregiver. Never leave the
client unaended while in the li.
If you do not understand any of the warnings,
safety precauons or instrucons, please
contact a care provider, distributor or technical
sta member (if applicable) before aempng
to use this product. Using this product without
having the proper knowledge may result in
injury or damage.
Disconnect the product and re-

General maintenance and use
This li may only be used by qualied
personnel.
In certain circumstances, more than
one caregiver may be necessary to
assist a parcular client.
This li is for indoor use only. It is not
suitable for use in areas with high hu-
midity (e.g. shower rooms, hydrother-
apy), extreme temperature or high
pressure environments.
Before using the li for a client, it is
strongly recommended to pracce us-
ing the li with colleague-caregivers,
unl the caregiver feels comfortable
using the product.
The Diana II Comfort may only be used
on an even, clean and hard-oored
surfaces that are free of obstacles. The
li should never be used on a sloping
oor or ramp.
The client’s abilies should be as-
sessed before using this product. Only
use this product for its intended use.
The Diana II Comfort is designed to
support only one client at a me.
Never use the li to li a client and an
item of furniture at the same me.
A specialist must approve use of the
li for a specic client and this must
be recorded in wring.
The correct type, size, material and
design of accessories must be carefully
selected by an expert, taking into
account the safety and needs of the
client.
Always charge baeries in a well-ven-
lated room. Check the charger
regularly.
Only use other Human Care products
with the Diana II Comfort.
Check the Diana II Comfort before each use to make sure it is not damaged
in any way. Do not use the Diana II Comfort if there are signs of wear and
tear or damage on any part of the li.

Safety instrucons
• Please read the instrucon manual for both the li and the liing ac-
cessories before use. Liing and transporng a person always involves a
certain risk.
• It is important to fully understand the content of the manuals and to use
the li as per the instrucons in the manuals.
• The li may only be used by trained personnel.
• In case of doubt or if you have any quesons, please contact Human Care
or your distributor.
Warning!
Certain condions and surroundings may limit
the use of the li, e.g. thresholds, uneven
surfaces, obstacles and deep-pile carpet. These
condions and surroundings may prevent the
castors of the li from working properly, may
cause the li to become unstable and/or may
make it harder for the caregiver to use the li.
If you are not sure whether your care environ-
ment meets the requirements for proper use of
the li, please contact Human Care for help and
advice.
CAUTION!
This user manual contains important informa-
on for the user of this product. All users of the
li must read and understand the content of
the user manual and work accordingly. Always
keep the user manual in a place where it is
available to those persons using the product.

Always aach the sling according to
the instrucons for the sling that has
been supplied.
Never leave a loaded li on a sloping
surface.
Never use an electric li in the shower.
Never take the li down a ight of
stairs, either with or without a client.
Before moving the li, always check
that it is disconnected from the char-
ger, as this could damage the electrical
connecon.
Always check that the safe working
load of the li is suitable for the
client's weight.
Always carry out liing acvies ac-
cording to the instrucons in the user
manual.
Never disconnect a control or safety
device and never try to by-pass such
a funcon because you think it might
make it easier to operate the li.
Never aempt to move the li by
pushing against the mast, li arm or
client. Always use the appropriate
push handle to move the li.
When transporng a client, never
move faster than a slow walking pace
(3 kilometers per hour - 0.8 meters
per second).
Do not push the li over an uneven or
rough surface, especially when trans-
porng a client.
Do not try to push/pull a loaded li
over an obstacle on the oor, which
the castors cannot clear.
Never force a control/safety device.
All controls are easy to use and do not
require the use of physical force.

Radio frequency
Do not use the li in an environment where
other radio frequency eming devices are
used. Like any other electronic device, the
li can use and emit radio frequency energy.
If the li is not used in accordance with the
instrucons in the user manual, it may cause
interference with nearby devices. The manu-
facturer cannot guarantee that interference will
not occur in a parcular locaon. In order to
check if the li is the source of any interference,
change its locaon or disconnect the baery. If
you sll noce or suspect a fault, please try the
following:
• Move the li to another locaon;
• Increase the distance between devices;
• Contact the service-desk.
The liing accessories are correctly
aached to the li;
Make sure the li accessories are not
damaged;
Ensure that the correct liing acces-
sories are being used in terms of type,
size, material and design to meet the
client's needs;
Ensure that the brakes are intact;
any missing or damaged brakes must
always be replaced;
Ensure that the clips of the sling are
correctly clipped to the hanger bar
aer the sling has been fully extended,
but before the client has been actually
lied.
Ensure the baeries are fully charged;
Always read the instrucon manuals
for the li and the liing accessories.
Determine what you need to do be-
fore you start using the li;
Always carry out a daily check before
using the li;
The caregiver should always familiar-
ize himself/herself with the controls
and safety devices before aempng
to li a client;
Only use slings that are recommended
for use with this li.
