This document is intended for users responsible for the initial setup of the SA 2100 and assumes the user has a basic
working knowledge of computer networking, wireless routing, and network administration.

The Novatel Wireless SA 2100 cellular router enables you to set up a network and provides both wired and wireless
connectivity. Its features include:

Installation
The following sections describe the installation and initialization of the SA 2100.

Package contents depend on the accessories ordered. Compare the contents with the packing list. If any items are
missing or damaged, contact FW support.

Setup
1. If the SIM is not installed, insert it into the SIM holder located in the battery compartment.
2. Connect external antennas, if used.
3. If using a power supply, plug it into an electrical outlet. If using the power cable, make sure it is connected
to a supported power source.
4. If the SIM is not yet activated, contact your wireless provider to activate the SIM and/or data plan.
5. Connect the power supply or power cable to the SA 2100.
6. Ensure the power is switched on.
Connecting
You can connect to the SA 2100 either via Ethernet cable or Wi-Fi connection.
Connecting Via Ethernet
To connect via Ethernet , perform the following steps:
1. Ensure the SA 2100 is powered on.
2. Connect the router to an Ethernet port on the computer using an Ethernet cable.
Connecting Via Wi-Fi
To connect via Wi-Fi, perform the following steps:
1. Ensure the SA 2100 is powered on.
2. Connect to the router using the SSID and Wi-Fi key information provided on the label located on the bottom
of the device.
Accessing the Web Interface
You can customize the device settings using the SA 2100 Web Interface. To access the Web Interface, open an
Internet browser on a connected device and navigate to one of the following addresses:
•http://my.sa2100/
•192.168.1.1
The browser will display the SA 2100 Home Page.
Administrator Password
You must enter the Administrator password to proceed beyond the Home Page. The default Administrator password
is:
admin
Note: For security purposes, we recommend that you change your password after logging in with the default one.
Settings
To customize the SA 2100 settings, select Settings from the menu. From the settings menu, you may adjust the
hotspot, device, mobile, and advanced settings for your SA 2100, including such items as the SSID, connection
password, and the maximum number of devices that may connect to your SA 2100.

found on the web at www.inseego.com/documents.

FCC Compliance
This equipment has been tested and found to comply with the limits for a Class B digital device, pursuant to part 15
of the FCC rules. These limits are designed to provide reasonable protection against harmful interference when the
equipment is operated in a residential environment. This equipment generates, uses, and can radiate radio
frequency energy and, if not installed and used in accordance with the instruction manual, may cause harmful
interference to radio communication. FW does not guarantee that interference will not occur in a particular
installation.
Operation is subject to the following conditions:
a. This device may not cause harmful interference.
b. This device must accept any interference received, including interference that may cause undesired
operation.
Changes or modifications not expressly approved by the party responsible for compliance could void the user’s
authority to operate the equipment.
If this equipment does cause harmful interference to radio or television reception, which can be determined by
tuning the equipment off and on, the user is encouraged to try and correct the interference by one or more of the
following measures:
a. Reorient or relocate the receiving antenna.
b. Increase the distance between the equipment and the receiver.
c. Connect the equipment to outlet on a circuit different from that to which the receiver is connected.
d. Consult the dealer or an experienced radio/TV technician for help.
Exposure to RF radiation – To comply with FCC RF exposure compliance requirements, for mobile configurations, a
separation distance of at least 20 cm must be maintained between the antenna of this device and all persons. Do not
collocate or operate this device in conjunction with any other antenna or transmitter.
