Access the sengs for your phone, such as changing the font and display
Assign or use assigned speed dial numbers
Transfer the current acve call internally & externally
Access message box/voicemail
Block incoming calls. You can also acvate Do Not Disturb while the phone is ringing,
this terminates the call and the caller will get a busy tone
Accesses the staon, system and internal phone books
If a headset is plugged in this buon allows you to toggle between the headset and
handset
Place a call on hold - the caller will receive on-hold music/markeng or beeping
Cuts mic between you and caller
A line, feature or quick dial can be assigned to these buons
*The 9010 has 5 programmable Flex Keys & the 9020 has 10 programmable Flex Keys*
These buons are interacve and have a changing funcon based on the phone’s
status
Toggle the speakerphone On and O during a call
Adjust the Ring, Handset, Headset and Speaker Volume

Using the Phone Book Directory
*Access the stored telephone numbers or
extensions in your system*
Voicemail
Accessing your Voicemail
Listening to Voicemail
Redialling a number
Call Redial
Press ‘Directory’ followed by one of the
following opons:
1 - Private directory
2 - Public directory
3 - Directory by name
Once selected you can use the navigaon keypad
to scroll through the list of contacts or use alpha
dial - e.g. press 2 for the leer B, then press 1,2 or 3
depending on whether it is the rst, second, third or
fourth leer on the buon.
Press OK to dial the number.
Press ‘Message’ followed by one of the following
opons:
1 - Accesses messages to give an internal user a call
back
2 - to access your voicemail
3 - to access SMS messages
Once selected, enter your extension number
followed by the password provided.
*The voicemail will advise you to enter your
password, but you must dial your extension number rst*
Once you have accessed ‘Your Voicemail’ here are
the opons available to you:
1 - New messages
2 - Set a greeng
3 - Change password
0 - Return to main menu
Hang up when nished.
You can assign a ‘Flex Key’ to be a redial key. This will
redial the last called number.

Li handset or press the pickup ‘So Key’.
To pick up a call from another extension that is
programmed to one of the ex keys, press the
ashing ex key next to that extension or dial 7 then
the extension number.
*You can also set ex keys for call pick-up and group call
pick-up*
Li handset and press a free ex key allocated to
a line, or dial 9 to pick up a line and then dial your
number.
Li handset, then dial the extension number or press
the ex key assigned to the contact.
Press ‘DND’ buon when a call comes in.
Press ‘Hold’, to reconnect the call, press the green
ashing ex key.
Parking - Press ‘Transfer’, then dial the park code.
Retrieving - Li handset and dial the park code.
When dialling an extension that is engaged/busy,
the Call Waing feature allows the extension to be
noed there is a call waing.
During an acve call, press the transfer ‘So Key’ or
‘Transfer’. Dial the extension number, external
number (press 9 rst) or press the programmed ex
key.
You can either speak to the recipient to announce
the call, or simply hang up to complete the transfer.
If you are unable to transfer the call, press the green
ashing ex key or ‘Transfer’ to return to the caller.

To call the rst party, follow “Making an External/
Internal Call” above for instrucons.
Once connected press Conf ‘So Key’ once.
Call the second party (As Above)
Once connected, press Conf ‘So Key’ twice to
connect the calls.
Dial 554 or press the navigaonal key right, then
press the so key saying forwared then select one of
the following opons:
1 - Immediate Call Forward (Forwards all calls
instantly)
2 - Busy call forward (Only forward calls when you
are on the phone)
3 - No answer call forward (Only forwards calls if you
don’t answer
4 - Busy/No Answer Call Forward (Mix of 2 & 3)
Dial the extension number
To disable all call forwarding, dial 554#
Press ‘TRANS’ dial 11 (Internal ring tone)
Press ‘TRANS’ dial 12 (External ring tone)
Select desired ring ton by dialling keys 01-16
Press ‘HOLD’ to store
Press + or - on the volume keys whilst the handset is
down and ringing
Press + or - on the volume keys whilst on the call

(Text is entered just like text messaging, if you need
to move forward a leer or require a space press up
on the navigaon keypad, the ‘DND’ key will act as
a backspace, press ‘TRANSFER’ buon or ‘MODE’
so key to switch between higher and lower case or
numbers)

Entering A Personal Speed Dial Number
Using The Directory
Press ‘Transfer’ key then ‘Speed’ key
Dial the desired staon speed dial number.
(000-099) or press hold to conrm
Dial 9 for outside line, then the desired number to
be stored
Press ‘HOLD’
Enter name and press ‘HOLD’
If you are unsure of what the speed dial number is of
the person you wish to call:
Press ‘Directory’ buon followed by one of the
following opons:
1- For all your Personal speed dial numbers (Private
Directory)
2- For all the Public speed dial numbers (Public
Directory)
3- For all Internal Extension numbers which have
been named (View Staon Name)
Once you’ve selected an opon, use your navigaon
keypad to scroll through the list. Press ‘HOLD’ or
‘SEND’ to call.
OR
Press ‘SPEED’
Dial speed dial number
The iPECS system has two types of speed dials:
Personal Speed dials ranging from 000-099, These can only be used from your own handset.
System Speed dials ranging from 20000-31999, these can be used from any iPECS handset.
(System speed dials can be entered by using the iPecs admin tool or from the administrator handset)

Call Record
NB. Requires a voicemail box and ex key to be
programmed (see programming a ex key secon for
more details). You are required by Law to nofy callers
you may record calls.

Allows you to record your external conversaons,
the recording is then sent as a new voicemail mes-
sage to your voicemail inbox.
Whilst on an acve call to an external number, press
the ex key labelled ‘RECORD’. Once you hang up,
you retrieve the recording from your voicemail inbox
Press ‘TRANS
Press the ex key you wish to program
Press ‘TRANS’

Enter the extension number followed by password
*NB. The voicemail will advise you to enter password

*Message alert will connue to display unl the new
message/s has been deleted*

Dial 1 - Replay message
Dial 2 - To listen to the next message
Dial 3 - The delete message followed by #
Dial 4 - To forward the message to someone else
Dial 5 - To call the person who le you the message

When nished, hang up
