Important Safety Instructions
Read all of these instructions carefully and thoroughly and save them for later reference. The
unauthorized operation would lead to malfunction or accident. Manufacturers have no
responsibilities for the problems which are led by unauthorized operations.
Follow all warnings and instructions in the manual as well as marked on the product.
Do not touch the print head if the printer has just been recently used as the print head may be hot.
Do not put your fingers under the left and right tractor sprocket covers of the tractor when installing
the tractor paper.
Unplug this product from the power outlet before cleaning. Do not use the chemicals like alcohol to
clean the printer. Use a damp cloth for cleaning.
Please don’t use the printer near water.
Slots and opening on the cabinet and the back or bottom are provided for ventilation. To ensure
reliable operation of the product and to protect it from overheating, do not block or cover these
openings. And do not place the printer on a bed, sofa, rug or other similar surface in case of
blocking the openings. This product should not be placed in a crowded environment unless proper
ventilation is provided.
Make sure the printer is put on a stable surface and the surrounding is wide enough for paper load
and eject.
Avoid using the same AC socket with other high-power electric appliances or the electric appliance
device which will easily cause voltage fluctuation.
The whole computer system should be far away from the devices which may easily cause
electromagnetic interference, for example, loudspeaker or wireless component.
Do not locate this product where the cord will be stepped on. When the cord or the plug is mangled,
please stop using and get a new one replaced. Make sure the old one is far away from the printer,
so it can avoid someone who does not know the inside story getting damaged.
Do not operate in locations where high humidity or dust levels are present and should avoid direct
sunlight, high temperature or greasy area.
In order to avoid electric shock, short circuit or printer malfunctions, please do not insert any
objects of any kind in the printer air vent or at opening vent.
Don’t remove the printer’s out-cover and repair the printer. When needed, call or take it to the
professional.
To ensure safety, please unplug this product prior to leave it unused for an extended period. The
wall outlet you plan to connect to should be nearby and unobstructed.
This product belongs to the impact printer; it produces obviously noise during printing, so we
suggest placing this printer in a relatively independent area.
When using the printer in room where ventilation is not good or printing a large amount of files, it is
suggested to change the air in time.
Unplug this product from the power outlet and leave servicing to qualified service personnel under
the following conditions:
A. When the power cord or plug is damaged or frayed.
B. If liquid has been spilled into the product.
C. If the product has been exposed to rain or water.
D. If the product does not operate normally when the operating instructions are followed.
E. If the product has been dropped or the cabinet has been damaged.

Chapter 1 Product Features
Thank you for choosing this printer. It is a 24 pin high speed bill/ passbook printer, and it can fulfill your
multifunctional printing requirement. This printer has many new functions, which can make the usage
more easily. We have made elaborate design in speed, copy, suitable paper and certificate, which
makes the printer more suitable for printing various bills, cards and continuous bill printing.
The printer has the specialties as follows:
zFlat push mechanism which solve the problem of paper jam
Flat push mechanism can avoid the paper deformed, when using 1+n invoice, envelop, postcard, label,
certificate, it can avoid the paper jam.
zLoad/eject function
When the cut sheet is fed from the front of the printer, after printing, the paper can be ejected from the
front or rear according to the requirement.
Install the continuous paper on the tractor, press LOAD/EJECT key to feed paper to the printing
position. After printing the paper will be ejected from the front.
zTear paper function
This function can make the continuous paper to feed to the tear position, so that the paper can aim at
the tear position and realize precise tear off.
zFunction of paper eject
This function aloows the user to eject cut sheet/ continuous paper by the keys on the control panel.
zHigh resolution of image printing
Max. resolution of 360DPI (horizon) ×360DPI (vertical) and the image is clear.
zCompatibility
The command is compatible with OKI 5530SC and Epson ESC/PK2 which are popular control
commands in printer market.
zLarge data buffer
256KB large data buffer can take your computer time to the minimum, and allow the computer release
the buffer of printing to other jobs.
zLetter quality font
There are Roman, Sans Serif, Courier, Prestige, Script, OCR-B, OCR-A and Orator fonts, whichmakes
the file much better.
zBar code printing function
Bar codes in the printer: Code 39, EAN 8, EAN 13, Code128 B&C, Codabar, Interleaved 2 of 5,
Industrial 2 of 5, Matrix 2 of 5.
zCompress printing
Modifying the printer menu system settings can set the compression proportion.
zThick passbook and certificate printing function
The printer can easily handle the passbook, certificate, card and thick paper whose thickness is within
2.0MM.
Note: Compression printing of menu system is invalid in high/super high speed.

zAuto certificate thickness detect
When the gap adjust lever is in the position of “Passbook /card”, the printer will adjust the height of
theprint head according to the thickness of the certificate.
zAuto paper edge detect
Auto detect the paper edge position, so that it can make sure the print content is within the paper.
zAuto paper skew detect
Auto detect the skewness of paper feeding, if it is over the stated tilt, the paper will be ejected, so as to
make sure the printing quality.
zAuto adjustment of the copy capacity
After setting the print gap position, the printer can set the copy capacity automatically, so as to fulfill the
copy requirement.
zContain break pin compensation function
User can set to use the pin which is in good condition to compensate the broken pin.
zPin switch printing mode
User can set to use several pins to rotationally print transverse lines of form in order to improve print
head’s life.

Chapter 2 Preparation
2.1 Unpacking and Checking
Check the following items in the package, if any of these items is missing, please contact your dealer.
(As Figure 2-1 shown)
2.2 Removing the Protective Materials
1. Open the packing box, take out the printer, and tear off the fixed tape on the both isdes of the
printer. (As shown in Figure 2-2)
2. Save all the packing materials so that they can be used when transporting the printer in the future.
2.3 Main Parts of the Printer
Figure 2-3 and Figure 2-4 show the main part names of printer.

2.4 Installing the Printer
Before placing the printer in your chosen location, consider the following guidelines:
1. The printer should be put on a place that the surface is even and install the ribbon.
2. Do not place the printer on the following place:
zThe place is overheating or humid.
zThe place is shaking.
3. Do not use the printer where it may be subjected to
zThe place that is dusty
zThe place that is splattered with oil or metallic dust

2.5 Installing and Removing the Paper Supporting Board
2.5.1 Installing the Paper Supporting Board
Insert the board to the slot of the front of the printer, then push it forward until it is locked (as shown in
Figure 2-6).
2.5.2 Removing the Paper Supporting Board
Hold the left and right ends of the paper supporting board with hands; pull it out while the thumbs
hold against the printer and the paper supporting board can be taken out.

2.6 Installing the Paper Feed Knob
Make the opening of the paper feed knob aim at the D-shape shaft of the paper feed wheel shaft and
put it into the shaft (as shown in Figure 2-7).
2.7 Installing the Ribbon Cartridge
1. Make sure the print head is in the ribbon nip install position.
2. Open the printer cover upwards (as shown in Figure 2-8).
3. Pull the gap adjust lever to the “Ribbon change” position.
4. Take out the ribbon cartridge, the side with knob faces with user, turn the ribbon knob according to
the arrow direction, so that the ribbon core can be tighten and it is easily to install (as shown in
Figure 2-9).

Note: Don’t replace the ribbon cartridge when the power is on, or else, the printer may
start to work suddenly and you may get hurt.
Caution: Don't move the print head when the printer is power on, or else, it may damage
the printer. Moreover, don’t touch the print head if the printer has just been
recently used as the print head may be hot.

5. As shown in Figure 2-10, hold the middle position of the ribbon cartridge; make the buckles on the
both sides aim at the slots of the printer, push it forward until it is locked in place. Then make the
two holes of the ribbon nip aim at the two poles of the ribbon guide rack, and press them in place.
6. Make sure the ribbon core is smooth, and then turn the knob according to the arrow direction to
tighten the ribbon core (as shown in Figure 2-10).
7. Move the print head several times to make sure the ribbon core is installed in place.
8. After installing the ribbon cartridge, please pull the gap adjust lever back to its position, and close the
printer cover.
2.8 Connecting to Your Computer
The printer can be configured with USB interface, parallel interface, Ethernet interface, Bluetooth or
Wi-Fi (Please take the specific interface as standard.). Please connect your computer and the printer
with correct interface cable. (As Figure 2-11, 2-12, 2-13, 2-14 shown).

Note: 1. When the print becomes faint, you need to replace the ribbon cartridge.
Otherwise, the print quality would be affected and the print head may be
damaged.
2. When you remove the ribbon cartridge, make sure the print head is in the
ribbon nip installation position, take out the ribbon nip first, and hold the
middle position of the ribbon cartridge and pull it forward, take it out from the
printer. And then install a new ribbon by referring to the description above.
3. Please use the Jolimark original JMR139 ribbon cartridge only. Manufacturer
will not honor warranty when using unauthorized ribbon cartridge.
4. Turn the ribbon knob as the arrow shown.
Caution: Before connecting the parallel interface or serial interface, you should make sure
that the power of the printer is turned off. Only after tightening the cable could you
turn on the printer, or else, it may damage the printer.

2.8.1 Connecting the USB Cable
1. Plug the USB cable A end (flat shape) into the computer's USB interface connector.
2. Plug the USB cable B end (square shape) into the printer's USB interface connector. (As shown in
Figure 2-11)
2.8.2 Connecting the Parallel Cable
1. Make sure the computer and the printer are both turned off, plug the parallel cable to the parallel
interface connector of the printer, Squeeze the wire clips on both sides and make the connector
fixed. (As shown in Figure 2-12)
2. Plug the other end of the cable to the computer or other device’s parallel interface. Tighten the
screws on both sides and make the cable fixed.
2.8.3 Connecting the Ethernet Cable
Plug the end of the Ethernet cable (RJ-45) into the printer's Ethernet interface connector and the
other end to the LAN (as shown in Figure 2-13).

2.9 Connecting the Power Supply
1. As Figure 2-14 shown, make sure the printer is turned off. (The pressed down side on the switch
with “O” mark denotes the printer is off)
2. Make sure the voltage of the electrical outlet matches the voltage range of the AC adapter.
3. Plug one end of the power cord to printer's power supply inlet.
4. Plug the other end of the power cord into a properly grounded electrical outlet.
zPress down the side of “I”, the printer will be turned on.
zPress down the side of “O”, the printer will be turned off.
2.10 Installing the Driver
Please use the cable to connect computer with printer, then turn on the computer and the printer, put
the driver CD into the CD-ROM. Install driver by the following ways:
2.10.1 Auto-installing Way (Recommended)
Double click the file "Setup.exe" in the driver disc, install driver by the guide.
2.10.2 Hand-operated Installing Way

Warning: 1. If the outlet voltage doesn’t match the voltage range of the AC
adapter, contact your dealer for assistance. Do not plug the power
cord to electrical outlet.
2. Please use the electrical outlet connecting the ground properly.
Note: Auto-installing way needs the operating systems of Windows2000 and above and the
operating systems of Window 98/ME and below are not supported.
Note: This installing way is used for the people who have some knowledge on
operating systems and equipment application.

2.10.2.1 The Operating Systems of Windows 2000/XP/Vista/Win7
(1) The hand-operated installing steps of parallel interface cable:
In the following, Windows XP is taken as an example to show the installing steps. There are slight
differences among different operating systems. The installing way with other operating systems
depends on the practical installing process.
1 Click “Start” →“Settings” →“Select Printers”.
2. Click “Add Printer”, then a window of “Add Printer Wizard” pops up, click “Next”, then please read
the select guide carefully, for example: select “Local Printer” in the “Local or Network Printer”
window, then click “Next”.
3. A window of “Select a Printer Port” pops up, according to your requirement, select “LPT1:
(Recommended Printer Port)”, click “Next”.
4. A window of “Install Printer Software" pops up, click “Have Disk...”.
5. A window of “Install From Disk” pops up. Please according to the operating system environment,
you should select the path as follows: CD-ROM →“Drivers” →“WIN2000 (XP-Vista-Win7)”, click
“Open”, then click “OK” to return to the window of “Install Printer Software”, click “Next”.
6. Follow the guide and click “Next” gradually until the installation is finished.
(2) The hand-operated installing steps of USB interface cable:
In the following, Windows XP is taken as an example to show the installing steps. There are slight
differences among different operating systems. The installing way with other operating systems
depends on the practical installing process.
1. Connect with the USB cable and turn on both the computer and the printer. After the computer finds
out new hardware, and a window of “Found New Hardware” pops up — “Welcome to the new
hardware wizard”.
2. Select the “Set from the list or specific position”, then click “Next”
3. A window of “Please choose your search and installation options” pops up, choose “Don't search, I
will choose the driver to install”, click “Next”.
4. A window of “Add Printer Wizard” pops up, click “Have Disk...”.
5. A window of “Install From Disk” pops up. Please according to the operating system environment,
you should select the path as follows: CD-ROM →“Drivers” →“WIN2000 (XP-Vista-Win7)”, click
“Open”, then click “OK” to return to the window of “Add Printer Wizard", click “Next”.
6. Follow the guide and click “Next” gradually until the installation is finished.
2.10.2.2 The Operating System of Windows 8/Windows 10
The hand-operated installing steps of parallel interface or USB interface cable:
1. Enter “Control Panel” →“Device and Printers”.
2. Click “Add Printer”, then a window of “Add Printer” pops up, then click “Next”, select “Add Local
Printer Manually” in the “Local or Network Printer” window.
3. A window of “Select a Printer Port” pops up, according to your requirement, click “Use the Current
Port”, select “LPT1: (Printer Port)”, USB interface or other interface, click “Next”.
4. A window of “Install Printer Driver” pops up, click “Have Disk...”.
5. A window of “Install from Disk” pops up. Please according to the operating system environment,
you should select the path as follows: CD-ROM →“Drivers” →“Windows 8”, click “Open”, then click
“OK” to return to the window of “Install Printer Driver”, click “Next”.
6. Follow the guide and click “Next” gradually until the installation is finished.

2.10.2.3 The Operating System of Windows 98
(1)The hand-operated installing steps of parallel interface:
1. Click “Start” →“Settings” →“Printers”.
2. Double click “Add Printer”, then a window of “Add Printer Wizard” pops up, select “Local Printer” in
the “Local or Network Printer” window, then click “Next”.
3. A window of “Click the manufacturer and model of your printer” pops up, click “Have Disk...”, please
click “Browse”, select the path as follows: CD-ROM →“Drivers” →“WIN98 (WINME)”, then click
“OK”.
4. A window of “Install from Disk” pops up, click "OK”, return to a window of “Add Printer Wizard”, then
click "Next".
5. A window of “Printer Port” pops up, select “Available ports”, according to your requirement, select
“LPT1: (Recommended Printer Port)”, click “Next”, and then the printer’s name will be shown. If the
system has not installed other printer driver process, the printer is treated as default printer by the
application process of Window98 environment, click “Next”. Otherwise, according to prompt,
choose the printer is default: “Yes”, click “Next”, choose “Yes-(recommended)”, click “Finish”. A
window of “Printer test page completed” pops up, click “Yes”.
6. The printer driver process is installed successfully.
(2) The installing steps with the USB interface cable:
USB driver installing steps:
1. Connect with the USB interface cable and turn on the printer.
2. After the computer finds out new hardware and finishes searching, a window of “Add New
Hardware Wizard” pops up, click “Next”.
3. A window of “Add New Hardware Wizard” — “Windows Operation” pops up, choose “Search the
best driver for the device (recommended)”, and click “Next”.
4. A window of “Add New Hardware Wizard” pops up, check “Specify a location (L)”, click “Browse”,
select the path as follows: CD-ROM →“Drivers”→“WIN98 (WINME)” →”USBdriver”, then click
“OK”.
5. Return to the window of “Add New Hardware Wizard”, click “Next”; a window of “Windows driver
file search for the device” pops up, click “Next”.
6. After the system finishing installing the file automatically, a window of “Jolimark USB Printer
Supported” pops up, click "Finish".
7. The printer USB driver process is installed successfully.
USB printer driver installing steps:
1. Click “Start” →“Settings” →“Printers”.
2. Double click “Add Printer”, then a window of “Add Printer Wizard” pops up, click “Next”.
3. A window of “Click the manufacturer and model of your printer” pops up, click “Have Disk...”,
please click “Browse”, select the path as follows: CD-ROM →“Drivers” →“WIN98 (WINME)”, and
then click “OK”.
Note: 1. As the system of Windows 98/ME doesn’t integrate USB driver control, please
install USB driver before using USB interface printing. Then install USB printer
driver.
2. If it has installed the USB driver, please install the USB printer driver directly by
the following steps.

4. A window of “Install From Disk” pops up, click “OK”, return to the window of “Add Printer Wizard”,
then click "Next".
5. A window of “Printer Port” pops up, select “Available ports”, select “JMUSB”, click "Next", and
then the printer’s name will be shown. If the system has not installed other printer driver process,
the printer is treated as default printer by the application process of Window98 environment, click
“Next”. Otherwise, according to prompt, choose the printer is default: "Yes"; click "Next", choose
“Yes-(recommended)”, click “Finish”. A window of “Printer test page completed” pops up, click
“Yes”.
6. The printer driver process is installed successfully.
2.11 Installing the Bluetooth Interface Driver
1. Choose the appropriate Bluetooth adapter, the operation system is Window XP or above which is
with Bluetooth adapter driver.
2. Turn on the printer, search Bluetooth devices in Window XP system, and click “Add”.
Note: Select to install this driver according to the chosen model.

3. Tick off the option of “My device is set up and ready to be found.” Click “Next” to continue.
4. Select the “DP560”, and then click “Next”.
5. Tick off the option of “Let me choose my own passkey” and enter “1234” as shown, then click “Next”.
