THE NATURE OF HAZARDOUS SITUATIONS
The use of portable automotive lifting devices is subject to certain hazards that cannot be prevented by mechanical means, but only
by the exercise of intelligence, care, and common sense. It is therefore essential to have owners and personnel involved in the use and
operation of the equipment who are careful, competent, trained, and qualied in the safe operation of the equipment and its proper
use. Examples of hazards are dropping, tipping or slipping of loads caused primarily by improperly securing loads, overloading, off-
centered loads, use on other than hard level surfaces, and using equipment for a purpose for which it was not designed.
METHODS TO AVOID HAZARDOUS SITUATIONS
  • Read,study,understandandfollowallinstructionsbeforeoperatingthisdevice.

  • Useonlyonhardlevelsurface.
  • Useonlyforemergencytirechangingormountingtirechains.
  • Activatethehazardwarningasher,turnoffignition,setparkingbrake,moveautomaticshiftlevertoparkpositionormanual
shift lever into reverse position. Chock the tire diagonally opposite from the one being lifted in front and back of the tire.
  • Followtirechangingortirechainmountingprocedurespeciedinthevehiclemanufacturer'sowner'smanual.
  • Placejackonlyatpointsofthevehicleasspeciedbythevehiclemanufacturer.
  • Nevergetbeneaththevehiclewhenitissupportedbythejack.
  • Ifvehicleispushedoffthejack,discardjack.Donotreuse.

SETUP
There is little or no preparation for the setup of this jack. Make sure the jack is in its low height position. The crank handle comes
in two pieces; one piece has a hook end and a crank handle grip on the other piece. The attened end of the hook piece has to be
inserted in the recieving end of the crank handle. The hook should be put through the hole in the drive screw of the jack when ready to
be used.
OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS

IMPORTANT: Before attempting to raise any vehicle, check vehicle service manual for recommended lifting surfaces.
1. Become familiar with the operation of the jack. Turning the crank handle in a clockwise direction will raise the jack's saddle.
Turning the crank handle in a counterclockwise direction will lower the jack's saddle.
2. Donotattemptoliftmorethanonevehicletireoffthegroundatatime.
3. Activatethehazardwarningasher,turnoffignition,setparkingbrake,moveautomaticshiftselectortoparkpositionorreverse
gear if it is a manual transmission. The wheel diagonally opposite from the wheel being lifting shall be chocked in both directions.
4. Withthejackintheloweredposition,pushthejackunderthevehicle.IMPORTANT:Usethevehiclemanufacturer'srecommended
lifting procedure and lifting points.
5. Raisethesaddleuptotherecommendedliftingpoint.Checktoseethattheliftingpointiscenteredontheliftingsaddleandthe
majority of the weight is not supported by the peripheral edge of the saddle at any single point.
6. Before lifting the tire off the ground, slightly loosen the lug nuts on the wheel if your intention is to remove the wheel.
7. Raisethevehiclejusthighenoughsothetire(initsinatedcondition)willcleartheground.
8. Be careful not to pull, push or exert enough force on the vehicle to cause it to slip off the jack or make the setup unstable.
9. Nevergetunderthevehiclewhenusingthejackorthevehicleislifted.

1. Alwaysstorethejackinawellprotectedareawhereitwillnotbeexposedtoinclementweather,corrosivevapors,abrasivedust,
or any other harmful elements. The jack must be cleaned of water, snow, sand, grit, oil, grease or other foreign matter before
using.
2. Thejackmustbelubricatedperiodicallyinordertopreventprematurewearingofparts.Ageneralpurposegreasemustbe
 appliedtothedrivescrew.Failuretomaintainproperlubricationvoidswarranty.
3. Everyjackownerisresponsibleforkeepingthejacklabelcleanandreadable.Useamildsoapsolutiontowashexternalsurfaces
of the jack but not the drive screw. Contact K-Tool International for a replacement label if your jack's label is unreadable.
4. Inspectthejackbeforeeachuse.Donotusethejackifanycomponentiscracked,broken,bent,showssignofdamage.Donot
use the jack if it has loose or missing hardware or components, or is modied in any way. If the vehicle is pushed off the jack or
the jack is subjected to a shock load, discard the jack and do not use again.

original purchase. This warranty is extended to the original retail purchaser only. If any jack or service-related item proves to be
defective during this period, it will be replaced or repaired, at K-Tool International’s option, without charge. This warranty does not apply
to damage from accident, overload, misuse or abuse, nor does it apply to any equipment which has been altered or used with special
attachments other than those recommended. This warranty does not cover repairs made by anyone who is not a K-Tool International
ProfessionalLiftingEquipmentAuthorizedRepairCenter.
AllStandardDutyjacksorservice-relatedequipmentwillbereplacedorrepairedatK-ToolInternational’soptionduringthe1year

NATURAlEZA DE lAS SITUACIONES DE RIESGO

el ejercicio de inteligencia, cuidado y sentido común. Es imprescindible contar con personal cuidadoso, competente, capacitado o
calicado involucrado en el uso adecuado y operación segura del gato al momento de brindar mantenimiento a los vehículos de motor
y sus componentes. Los ejemplos de los peligros incluyen las caídas, inclinaciones y deslizamientos de las cargas ocasionados prin-
cipalmente por la sujeción inadecuada de la carga, las sobrecargas, las cargas no centradas, su uso en supercies que no son duras
ni aniveladas y el uso del equipo para propósitos para el cual no fue destinado.

de cambios automáticos o la palanca de cambios manuales a la posición de reversa. Calce la llanta diagonalmente opuesta a
la que se está levantando en la parte delantera o trasera de la llanta.

MONTAJE
Haypocaonopreparaciónparaelmontajedeestegato.Asegúresequeelgatoestéensuposicióndealturabaja.Elganchoenelex-
tremo de la manivela debe atravesar el agujero en el tornillo conductor del gato cuando está listo para usarse.
PURGANDO EL AIRE DEL SISTEMA HIDRAÚLICO
 a. Girelaválvuladeliberaciónenelcontrasentidodelasagujasdelrelojdosvueltascompletasdesuposicióncerradaconel 
mango de bomba provisto.
b. Inserte el mango de la bomba en la manga del mango y proceda a bombear el gato diez recorridos de bomba
incrementales completos.
 c. Ahorauseelmangodelabombaparagirarlaválvuladeliberaciónenelsentidodelasagujasdelrelojhastaquesepare. 
Coloque el mango en la manga del mango y bombee el brazo de levantamiento hasta su máxima altura.
 d. Repitalospasos"a"al"c"hastaquesehaypurgadotodoelairedelsistema.

1. Familiaríceseconlaoperacióndelgato.Algirarlamanivelaenelsentidodelasagujasdelreloj,selevantarálasilladelgato.Sise
gira la manivela en el
contrasentido de las agujas del reloj, la silla del gato se bajará.
2. Nointentelevantarmásdeunallantadelvehículodelpisoalavez.
3. Activelaluzintermitentedeadvertenciadepeligros,apaguelaignición,activeelfrenodeestacionamiento,cambielapalancade
selector de cambios automáticos a la posición de estacionado o a reversa si es una transmisión manual. La llanta diagonalmente
opuesta a la llanta la que se está levantando debe estar calzada en ambos sentidos.
4. Con el gato en la posición más baja, empuje el gato por debajo del vehículo. IMPORTANTE: Useelprocedimientoypuntosdede
levantamiento recomendados por el fabricante del vehículo.
5. Levantelasillahastaelpuntoelevaciónrecomendado.Veriquequeelpuntodelevantamientoestécentradoenlasillade
levantamiento y que la mayoría del peso no esté soportado por el borde periférico de la silla en ningún punto aislado.
6. Antesdelevantarlallantadelpiso,aojeligeramentelastuercasdelaruedaenlallantasisepretendelallanta.
7. Eleveelvehículojustolosucienteparaquelallanta(ensucondicióninada)sedespejeelpiso.
8. Tenga cuidado de no jalar, empujar ni ejercer suciente fuerza en el vehículo para que ocasione su deslizamiento del gato o que se
desestabilice.
9. Nuncasemetapordebajodelvehículoduranteelusodelgatoocuandoelvehículoestélevantado.
MANTENIMIENTO DE SEGURIDAD

1. Siempreguardeelgatoenunáreaprotegida,endondenoquedeexpuestoalascondicionesclimáticas,gasescorrosivos,sustancias
 abrasivasuotrosmaterialesperjudiciales.Previoaluso,estegatodeberáestarlimpiodeagua,nieve,arena,gravilla,aceite,grasao
cualquier otro material ajeno.
2. Elgatodebelubricarseperiódicamenteconelndeprevenireldesgasteprematurodelaspiezas.Unagrasadeusogeneraldebe
aplicarse al tornillo conductor. La falla de mantener una lubricación adecuada anula la garantía.
3. Cadapropietariodelgatoseráresponsablepormantenerlimpiasylegibleslasetiquetasdelgato.Useunasolucióndejabónsuave
para limpiar las supercies externas del gato pero no lave el tornillo conductor. Comuníquese con K-Tool International por una eti
queta de repuesto si la etiqueta de su gato no es legible.
4. Nointenterealizarningunareparaciónhidráulicaalmenosqueustedseaunindividuocalicadoenlasreparacioneshidráulicas
 familiarizadoconesteequipo.Sielvehículoseempujefueradelgato,osielgatoestásujetadoaunacargadechoque,descarteel
gato y no lo use de nuevo.

K-Tool International El equipo de levantamiento está garantizado de ser libre de defectos en cuanto al material y mano de obra a partir

relacionado con el servicio se demuestra ser defectuoso durante este periodo, éste será reemplazado o reparado, sin cargos, a la
discreción de K-Tool International. Esta garantía no aplica a los daños por accidentes, sobrecarga, mal uso o abuso, ni aplica a ningún
equipo el cual ha sido modificado o usado con complementos especiales excepto los recomendados. Esta garantía no cubre

1. Sefamiliariseraveclefonctionnementducric.Lefaitdetournerlapoignéedanslesenshorairefaitleverlaselleducric.Lefaitde
tourner la poignée dans le sens antihoraire fait descendre la selle du cric.
2. Nepastenterdesouleverplusd'unpneuàlafois.
3. Allumerlesfeuxdedétresse,fermerlecommutateurd'allumage,actionnerlefreindestationnement,mettrelelevierdevitesseen
 position«PARK»ou,s'ils'agitd'unetransmissionmanuelle,lepasserenmarchearrière.Mettreunecaleàl'avantetàl'arrièredu

4. Mettre le cric complètement descendu en place sous le véhicule. IMPORTANT : Respecterlesprocéduresdelevagerecommandées
par le fabricant du véhicule et placer le cric uniquement aux points de levage indiqués.
5. Leverlasellejusqu'àcequ'ellesetrouvetoutjustesouslepointdelevage.S'assurerquelachargesoitcentréesurlaselleetqu'elle
ne soit pas entièrement soutenue par un seul point de contact en bordure de la selle.
6. Sivousprévoyezretirerlaroueduvéhicule,desserrerlégèrementlesécrousderoueavantdefaireleverlepneudusol.
7. Souleverlevéhiculetoutjusteassezpourquelepneu(goné)sesoulèvedusol.

1. Toujours ranger le cric dans un endroit bien protégé des intempéries, des vapeurs corrosives, de la poussière abrasive ou de tout
autre élément dommageable. Le cric doit être nettoyé de toute eau, neige, sable, poussière, huile, graisse ou autre corps étranger
avant son utilisation.
2. Lubrier le cric régulièrement pour prévenir l'usure prématurée des pièces. Lubrier la vis de commande avec une graisse à usage
 général.Ledéfautdelubrieradéquatementlecricentraînel'annulationdelagarantie.
3. Lepropriétaireducricdoits'assurerquel'étiquetteapposéesurlecricdemeurepropreetlisible.Utiliserunesolutionsavonneuse
 doucepournettoyerlessurfacesexternesducric,sauflavisdecommande.Sil'étiquetteapposéesurlecricdevientillisible,
