SETUP INSTRUCTIONS

1. Securethe#2legstothe#1postwiththe#9hexbolts,#4washersand#10hexnutsasshowninthedrawing.
2. Securethe#6swivelcasterstothelegswiththe#7hexbolts,#5washersand#8lockwashersasshowninthedrawing.
3. Securethe#3hydraulicjacktothetopofthe#1postusingthe#11hexbolts,#16washersand#12hexnutsasshowninthedrawing.
4. Slipthe#15headassemblyontotheramofthe#3hydraulicjackandaligntheholesinthejack'sramwiththeholeinthe#15head
assembly.
Securetheheadtotheramwiththe#13boltprovided.
5. Installthe#14ngerstothe#15headassemblyusingthe#17hexbolts,#18washersand#19hexnutsasshowninthedrawing.
6. Secureoneendlinkofthe#21chaintothe#15headassemblywith#22hexbolt,#24washerand#23hexnutasshowninthe
drawing.
7. Securethe#20hookassemblytothe#15headassemblywiththewasherandnutprovidedandasshowninthedrawing.
8. Sometimesairgetstrappedinthejackduringshippingand/orhandling.Evidenceofanairboundjackiswhenthepumpstrokefeels
spongy and the jack with not pump full incremental pump strokes
PURGING AIR FROM THE HYDRAULIC SYSTEM:
A.Openthereleasevalvebyturningittwofullrotationscounterclockwisefromitsclosedposition.
B.Pumpthejack15fullincrementalpumpstrokeswithoutloadappliedtothejack.
C.Closethereleasevalvebyturningitclockwiseuntilitstops.
D.Repeatsteps"A."through"D."untilairispurgedfromsystem.
OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS
ThisisthesafetyalertsymbolusedfortheOPERATINGINSTRUCTIONSsectionofthismanualtoalertyoutopotential
personal injury hazards. Obey all instructions to avoid possible injury or death.
1. Liftthevehicletothedesiredworkheightandsupportthevehicleinaccordancewiththeliftmanufacturer'srecommendedsupport
procedure and all the instructions and warnings in this manual.
2. Useanunderhoiststandratedgreaterthantheweightoftheenginetosupporttheenginebeforeunboltingthetransmissionfromthe
engine or bolting the transmission to the engine.
3. Positionthetransmissionjackdirectlyunderthetransmission.Pumpthejackhandleinordertoraisethesaddletoaheightveryclose
to the center of balance point of the transmission oil pan but do not touch the transmission.
4. Adjustthengersontheheadsothatthebentupsectionofthengerswilltinthemountingangearoundtheperimeterofthe
transmissionoilpan.Slowlyandgentlypumpthejacksotheconnectionismadeandthensecurethetransmissiontothejack's
saddlewiththechainprovided.Sometimesitisnecessarytoturntheforeandaftandsidetosidetiltknobssotheheadisinthe
proper alignment with the transmission pan before securing the load to the head.
5. Makesurethechainisverytightwhensecuringthetransmissiontotheheadandbeforeraisingorloweringthetransmission.
6. Removethetransmissionfromtheengineaccordingtoinstructionsinthevehicleservicemanual.
7. Oncethetransmissionhasbeendisconnectedfromtheengine,veryslowlyturnthereleasevalveinacounterclockwisedirection.
Makesurethejack'sheadandtransmissiondonothanguponanyundercarcomponents,wiring,fuellines,etc.Continuetolower
the load all the way down.
8. Wheninstallingatransmission,followtheaboveinstructionsbutintheapplicableorderandaccordingtothevehicle
manufacturer's installation procedure.
PREVENTATIVE MAINTENANCE
ThisisthesafetyalertsymbolusedforthePREVENTATIVEMAINTENANCEsectionofthismanualtoalertyouto
potential personal injury hazards. Obey all instructions to avoid possible injury or death.
1. Alwaysstorethejackinawellprotectedareawhereitwillnotbeexposedtoinclementweather,corrosivevapors,abrasive
dust, or any other harmful elements. The jack must be cleaned of water, snow, sand, grit, oil, grease or other foreign matter
before using.
2. Thejackmustbelubricatedperiodicallyinordertopreventprematurewearingofparts.Ageneralpurposegreasemustbeappliedto
allttings,casterwheels,tiltscrewsbutnohydrauliccompontents.Wornpartsresultingfrominadequateornolubricationarenot
eligible for warranty consideration.
3. Itshouldnotbenecessarytorellortopoffthereservoirwithhydraulicuidunlessthereisanexternalleak.Anexternalleakrequires
immediate repair which must be performed in a dirt-free environment by an authorized service center.
