Tools and Materials
Before You Begin
Observe all local plumbing and building codes.
Shut off the main water supply.
Carefully inspect the waste and supply tubing for any sign of
damage.
Replace waste or supply tubing if necessary.
For new installations, install the faucet before installing the
lavatory.
Kohler Co. reserves the right to make revisions in the design of
faucets without notice, as specified in the Price Book.

1. Spout Installation
Apply a bead of plumbers putty or other sealant to the underside
of the spout or putty ring (if supplied) according to the putty
manufacturer’s instructions.
Locate the center hole and insert the spout.
Slide the metal washer and nut onto the spout shank.
Securely tighten the nut with a wrench. Do not overtighten.
NOTE: For a thin-walled lavatory (such as stainless steel), slide the
dished washer, the washer, and the nut onto the spout shank.
Securely tighten the nut with a wrench. Do not overtighten. It may
be necessary to remove the nut from the top of the spout shank to
ensure proper installation.

2. Handle Valve Installation
NOTE: The valve body marked ″Cold″(with blue lettered tape
attached to the tube) should be installed to the right of the faucet.
Insert the valve bodies into the proper mounting holes.
Apply a bead of plumbers putty or other sealant to the underside
of the escutcheons according to the putty manufacturer’s
instructions.
Install a washer and a nut onto the underside of each valve body.
Rotate each valve body until the copper tubing faces towards the
outside of the lavatory.
While holding the valve bodies in place, securely tighten the
locknuts with a wrench. Do not overtighten.
Remove any excess putty or sealant.

3. Supply Tee Installation
From the underside of the lavatory, thread the shank nut about
halfway up onto the spout shank. Slide the metal washer onto the
spout shank.
Insert the plastic gasket and the rubber washer into the supply
tee.
Slide the metal washer onto the spout shank.
Thread the supply tee onto the spout shank until hand tight.
Ensure that the arms of the supply tee are aligned to face the left
and right sides of the lavatory.
Tighten the hex end of the supply tee with a wrench. Do not
overtighten.
Slide the metal washer down to the supply tee and thread the
shank nut down to the metal washer. Securely tighten with a
wrench. Do not overtighten.
Slide the O-ring over the guide tube and securely tighten the nut
to the supply tee sleeve with a wrench. Do not overtighten.
Slide the O-ring all the way up the lift rod.
Securely hand tighten the nut on the lift rod until a desired
resistance is achieved.

4. Flexible Hose Installation
Thread a flexible hose onto each handle valve outlet.
Securely tighten the hose with a wrench. Do not overtighten.
Connect the flexible hoses to the supply tee. Do not use thread
sealant. To avoid kinking the hoses, loop them as shown. Securely
tighten the hose with a wrench. Do not overtighten.

5. Drain Style
Refer to the illustrations above to determine the drain style you
received with your faucet.
Please follow the instructions for your drain style.

6. Drain Installation-Style A
Remove the protective material from the flange.
Wrap the bottom 2/3 of the flange threads with three layers of
sealant tape.
Apply a ring of plumbers putty or other sealant to the underside
of the flange according to the putty manufacturer’s instructions.
Insert the flange into the fixture drain hole.
Assemble the gasket (tapered side up) and washer to the flange
and partially thread the nut to the flange. Do not fully tighten the
nut at this time.
Install the body washer and drain body with the seal hole facing
the back of the fixture and securely tighten the nut. Use care to
avoid scratching the finish.
Remove any excess putty or sealant.
Insert the stopper into the flange.
Insert the seal into the seal hole on the body.

7. Complete Drain Installation-Style A
For regular installations, insert the short end of the rod into the
body seal hole and under the stopper. For vandal-resistant
installations, fit the rod through the hole in the stopper. Secure
with the body nut.
Remove and adjust the stopper so it lifts about 3/8″(1 cm) when
opened. To adjust, loosen the stopper nut and shorten or lengthen
the stopper as needed. Tighten the stopper nut.
Apply three layers of thread tape and a small bead of pipe
sealant to the tailpiece threads.
Thread the tailpiece to the body and tighten securely.
Slide one end of the clip onto the rod. Slide the link onto the rod
with the thumbscrew facing the back of the fixture.
Squeeze the other end of the clip, aligning the hole with the rod.
Move the link to the proper position by squeezing the clip and
sliding it along the rod.
Insert the lift rod into the hole in the faucet and then into the
hole in the link.
Tighten the thumbscrew onto the link so the lift rod knob extends
above the lift rod hole.

8. Drain Installation-Style B
Remove the protective cover from the flange.
Apply a ring of plumbers putty or other sealant to the underside
of the flange according to the putty manufacturer’s instructions.
Assemble the nut, flat washer, and tapered gasket (tapered side
up) fully onto the body.
From the underside of the fixture, insert the drain body up into
the drain hole.
From the top of the fixture, securely hand tighten the flange onto
the drain body.
Make sure the drain body seal hole is facing the back of the
fixture, and securely tighten the nut.
Remove any excess putty or sealant.

9. Complete Drain Installation-Style B
Press the seal into the seal hole on the body.
Insert the stopper into the flange.
For regular installations, insert the short end of the rod into the
body seal hole and under the stopper. For vandal-resistant
installations, fit the rod through the hole in the stopper. Hand
tighten the body nut.
Remove and adjust the stopper as needed so it lifts about 3/8″(1
cm) when opened. To adjust, rotate the threaded stopper rod in or
out as needed. Retighten the stopper nut.
Apply thread sealant tape to the tailpiece threads, and thread the
tailpiece to the body. Tighten the tailpiece securely.
Slide one end of the clip onto the rod. Slide the link onto the rod
with the thumbscrew facing the back of the fixture.
Squeeze the other end of the clip, aligning the hole with the rod.
Move the link to the proper position by squeezing the clip and
sliding it along the rod.
Insert the lift rod into the hole in the faucet and then into the
hole in the link.
Tighten the thumbscrew onto the link so the lift rod knob extends
1/2″(1.3 cm) above the lift rod hole.

10. Supply Connections
Install the lavatory using the lavatory manufacturer’s instructions.
Connect the supply tubes to the handle valves, and the supply
stops. Left is hot and right is cold.

11. Installation Checkout
Connect the tailpiece and P-trap (as needed).
Ensure that all connections are tight.
Remove the aerator by turning it counterclockwise.
Open the drain.
Turn on the main water supply and check for leaks. Repair as
needed.
Open both hot and cold valves and run water through the spout
for about a minute to remove debris. Check for leaks. Turn valves
off.
Remove any debris from the aerator and reinstall.

Respecter tous les codes de plomberie et de bâtiment locaux.
Couper l’arrivée d’eau principale.
Vérifier avec soin si les tubes d’évacuation ou d’arrivée d’eau
sont endommagés.
Replacer les tubes d’alimentation ou d’évacuation si nécessaire.
Pour les nouvelles poses, installer le robinet avant d’installer le
lavabo.

1. Installation du bec
Appliquer du mastic d’étanchéité ou un produit semblable sur le
dessous de bec ou de l’anneau de mastic (si fourni) selon les
instructions du fabricant du mastic.
Localiser l’orifice central et insérer le bec.
Glisser la rondelle métallique et l’écrou sur la tige du bec.
Serrer fermement l’écrou à l’aide d’une clé à tuyaux. Ne pas trop
serrer.
REMARQUE : Pour un lavabo à paroi mince (tel qu’en acier
inoxydable), glisser la rondelle bombée, la rondelle, et l’écrou sur la
tige du bec. Serrer fermement l’écrou à l’aide d’une clé à tuyaux. Ne
pas trop serrer. Il pourrait s’avérer nécessaire de retirer l’écrou du
dessus de la tige du bec afin d’assurer une bonne installation.
Enlever tout excédent de mastic d’étanchéité.

2. Installation de la Poignée de la Valve
REMARQUE : Le corps de la valve marquée ″Cold″(avec une lettre
appliquée au tube) devrait être installé à droite du robinet.
Insérer les corps de valves dans les trous de fixation respectifs.
Appliquer du mastic d’étanchéité ou un produit semblable sous
les appliques, selon les instructions du fabricant du mastic.
Installer une rondelle et un écrou sur le côté inférieur de chaque
corps de valve.
Pivoter chaque corps de valve jusqu’à ce que le tuyau en cuivre
fasse face à l’extérieur du lavabo.
Tout en maintenant les corps de valves en place, bien serrer les
contre-écrous avec une clé. Ne pas trop serrer.
Enlever tout excédent de mastic d’étanchéité.

3. Installation du T d’arrivée d’eau
D’en dessous le lavabo, visser l’écrou de la tige à peu près de
moitié sur la tige du bec. Glisser la rondelle métallique sur la tige
du bec.
Introduire la bague d’étanchéité en plastique et la rondelle en
caoutchouc dans le T d’alimentation.
Glisser la rondelle métallique sur la tige du bec.
Visser à la main le T d’alimentation sur la tige du bec. S’assurer
que les bras du T d’alimentation soient alignés pour faire face aux
côtés gauche et droit du lavabo.
Serrer l’extrémité hexagonale du T d’alimentation avec une clé.
Ne pas trop serrer.
Glisser la rondelle métallique sur le T d’alimentation et visser
l’écrou de la tige sur la rondelle métallique. Bien serrer à l’aide
d’une clé. Ne pas trop serrer.
Glisser le joint Torique sur le tube guide et serrer l’écrou du
manchon de T d’alimentation avec une clé. Ne pas trop serrer.
Glisser le joint Torique tout au bout de la tige de levage.
Serrer à la main l’écrou sur la tige de levage jusqu’à la résistance
désirée.

4. Installation Tuyau Flexible
Visser un tuyau flexible sur chaque poignée de valve.
Serrer fermement le tuyau à l’aide d’une clé. Ne pas trop serrer.
Raccorder les tuyaux flexibles au Té d’alimentation. Ne pas
utiliser de mastic pour les tiges filetées. Pour éviter
l’entortillement des tuyaux, boucler tel qu’ illustré. Serrer
fermement le tuyau à l’aide d’une clé. Ne pas trop serrer.

5. Style de Drain
Consulter les illustrations ci-dessus pour déterminer le style de
drain reçu avec votre lavabo.
Veuillez s’il vous plaît suivre les instructions relatives à votre
style de drain.

6. Installation du drain - Style A
Retirer la pellicule protectrice de la bride.
Couvrir les deux tiers des tiges filetées de la bride avec trois
couches de ruban d’échantéité.
Appliquer un anneau de mastic d’étanchéité ou un produit
semblable sur le dessous de la bride selon les instructions du
fabricant du mastic.
Ajuster la bride dans l’orifice du tuyau du drain.
Assembler la bague d’étanchéité (côté biseauté vers le haut) et la
rondelle sur la bride et visser partiellement l’écrou sur la bride.
Ne pas serrer l’écrou pour le moment.
Installer et la rondelle du corps et le corps du drain de manière à
ce que l’orifice de joint fasse face au tuyau et serrer fermement
l’écrou. Travailler soigneusement pour éviter les rayures de la
finition.
Enlever tout excédent de mastic d’étanchéité.
Introduir le bouchon dans la bride.
Introduir le joint d’étanchéité dans son orifice sur le corps.
