Observe all local plumbing and building codes.
Shut off the water supply.
Seat post holes are on 140mm (5-1/2") centers.
Ensure that the new drain has the correct roughing-in
dimension. This toilet has a 305mm (12") roughing-in
dimension. .
Closet flange must be 305mm (12") on-center from wall.
Carefully inspect the new fixture for any sign of damage.
For new construction, refer to the dimensions in
for locating the shut-off valve.
Fixture dimensions are nominal and conform to tolerances
established by ASME Standards (A112.19.2-2013).
The product complies with GB 6952-2005.

: Handle vitreous china products very carefully.
Vitreous china can break and chip if you overtighten
bolts and nuts.
. The fill valve
nut has been factory-tightened to design specifications.
If re-tightening is required, wrench tighten one turn
past finger tight .

If the existing toilet does not have a supply shut-off
valve below the tank, install one before installing the new
toilet.

* Flexible hose are recommended to connect the supply line
to the fill valve. If you use a rigid connection, take care not to
apply side forces to the bottom of the fill valve.

1Install or relocate the supply and outlet as necessary to comform to the roughing-in dimensions.
INSTALLATION
Important: Toilet must have 305mm minimum rough-in to
install properly.

2If replacing a toilet, remove the old wax.
3Insert new T-bolts.
If installation of the new toilet is delayed, temporarily cover
the closet flange hole with a rag.
T
Do not use white cement or high lime content
cements to install this toilet. The expansion of cement due
to a rise in temperature may make the toilet crack or cause
damage. Kohler is not responsible for any damage caused
by installation with the use of cement.

4To install supply shut-off valve
Install toilet supply shut-off valve so it is 140mm above
floorline and 135mm to the left of the centerline of the
closet flange. Centerline of supply shut-off outlet should
extend 102mm from finished wall. Install the supply shut-
off valve with outlet vertcial.

5Install the wax seal.

NOTE 1:
NOTE 2:
Wax ring type toilet gasket should not be installed at
temperatures less than 21 .
If you are using a toilet gasket with an integral
plastic sleeve, make sure the gasket is positioned with the
sleeve facing away from the toilet.
If you temporarily plugged the closet flange with a rag,
remove the rag at this time and ensure that the drain pipe is
clear and free of debris.

6Apply weight evenly.
Do not move after placement!
Watertight seal may be broken!
7Do not
overtighten.
Install floor mounting kit as shown in the figure.

10 Connect supply and turn on the water.

11 Flush several times and check for leaks.
12 Fill Float With Ballast
Test flush the toilet.
Periodically check all connections for leaks for several
days following installation.
Set the tank cover in place on the tank.
13 Minor Adjustment of Water Level
Move the snap along "OPEN" direction.
