Handling and Safety Precautions
These precautions should be strictly observed in order to ensure safe, long-term
use of the product.
Precautions when using the product
1. The KOKEN ”Western Features” Baby is made of a special silicone rubber, in order to
reproduce the same feel as touching a real baby. It should be handled with the same
gentle touch that you would use when handling a real baby.
2. Pushing or pulling the model with excessive force will permanently damage it. The use of
sharp instruments, nails, etc. could damage the model.
3. If the surface feels oily, apply baby powder or a similar substance.
4. Never use oil-based inks, paints or other substances on the model.
5. To clean the skin, use a neutral solvent, and apply powder after drying it.
NOTE: Do not use thinners, benzene or similar solvents.
Storing the KOKEN ”Western Features” Baby
1. Apply powder over the entire surface of the KOKEN ”Western Features” Baby, and store it
in the bag provided as an accessory.
2. Make sure the KOKEN ”Western Features” Baby is positioned in the correct orientation for
storage. Storing it in the opposite orientation could deform the model.
3. Store the KOKEN ”Western Features” Baby in a location away from direct sunlight or
ultraviolet rays.

1. Outline and Features
Outline:
The KOKEN ”Western Features” Baby is the optimum baby model for training and guidance
involving newborns. It is made of silicone rubber, and has a seamless construction, giving
it a feel extremely close to that of a real baby. It can be used to practice bathing, full-body
monitoring and measurement, changing diapers, suction, umbilical care, rectal temperature
measurement, and simple physical exercises for infants. The baby girl has breastfeeding and
urination functions.
Features:
1. A special silicone rubber is used for the model, providing an appearance and feel very
close to those of a real baby. Various types of training can be conducted under conditions
that closely simulate actual infant care, and that will provide users with an ample
understanding of infants and their care.
2. The model has a seamless construction, eliminating concerns about water seeping inside
when practicing bathing and other procedures involving water.
3. The model has an anterior fontanel, a posterior fontanel, sagittal sutures, and coronal
sutures.
4. The neck is loose and malleable, not xed.
5. The auricles of the ears are exible.
6. There is a cavity measuring 5 cm from the nasal cavity to the throat, and another
measuring 15 cm from the oral cavity to the stomach.
7. The backbone can be located.
8. The arms and legs can be freely exed and extended.
9. The umbilical cord can be freely detached.
10. There is a cavity measuring 3 cm for the anus.
11. The model can be immersed in hot water repeatedly with no deformation of the material.
12. There are testicles inside the scrotum.
13. The physique is extremely realistic, enabling detailed monitoring of a baby immediately
after birth.
