Cartridge Loading
Pull follower rod from barrel and lock into place.
Unscrew barrel from head.
Remove cap from end of grease cartridge.
Insert cartridge into barrel, open end down.
Remove pull tab from top of grease cartridge. Make
sure cartridge is pushed down completely.
Screw barrel into head until snug.
Unscrew barrel slightly. (Approximately two revolutions)
Release follower rod.
Push follower rod into barrel.
Screw barrel into head.
Prime. (see “Priming Your Grease Gun”)
Begin greasing.
Suction Loading
Pull follower rod from barrel and lock into place.
Unscrew barrel from head.
Insert open end of gun barrel two inches below surface
of grease.
Slowly pull back follower rod to draw in grease. Pull
follower rod back all the way and lock into place.
Screw barrel back into head.
Unlock follower rod and push into barrel.
If no bleeder valve is installed, unscrew barrel slightly.
(Approximately two revolutions)
(Skip this step if bleeder valve is installed)
Release follower rod.
Push follower rod into barrel.
Depress bleeder valve to release air.
(If bleeder valve is installed)
Prime. (see “Priming Your Grease Gun”)
Begin greasing.
Filler Pump Loading
WARNING: Do not load gun with air operated grease
pump. Damage to unit will occur and warranty will be
voided.
Wipe bulk filler nipple until clean.
Insert bulk filler nipple into loader pump receptacle.
Pump grease until 8 inches of follower rod is exposed.
(Between the follower rod handle and barrel cap)
Pump grease until barrel is full. (When barrel is full, rod
can be pulled out without spring tension)
Release follower rod.
Push follower rod into barrel.
Prime. (see “Priming Your Grease Gun”)
Begin greasing.

Priming Your Grease Gun
Greasing a Zerk (Grease Fitting)
Point outlet up at least 45 degrees.
Using slow, complete strokes, stroke handle repeatedly until grease flows without air. (Should require 10 - 20 strokes)

Flexzilla®Heavy Duty Lever Action Grease Gun
Press coupler onto zerk.
Keep coupler and zerk as closely aligned as possible.
Begin greasing.
To Remove Coupler From Zerk:
Tilt coupler to one side, twist and pull. (Failure to follow this procedure may result in damage to coupler or fitting.)

Problem
Grease does not flow when handle is stroked.
Grease leaks between gun head and extension or
extension and coupler.
Grease leaks from coupler body joint or between
coupler jaws and grease fitting.
Cause(s)
Gun needs to be re-primed
Grease cartridge is still capped
Grease cartridge or barrel is empty
Blocked Grease Coupler
Blocked Grease Extension
Threads need to be sealed
Damaged coupler
Damaged grease fitting
Remedy
See “Re-Priming Your Grease Gun”
• Check to ensure caps have been removed from both
ends of cartridge
• Insert new cartridge or fill barrel
• Prime gun
• Remove coupler and pump grease
• If grease flows without coupler, clean or replace
extension
• Remove extension and pump grease
• If grease flows without extension, clean or replace
extension
Apply thread sealant
Replace coupler
Replace fitting

Center during the warranty period, transportation charges prepaid, with proof of date of purchase. In the event of repair or replacement, the warranty period shall not be extended
beyond the original warranty period. While necessary maintenance or repairs on your Legacy equipment can be performed by any company, we recommend that you use only
