• Do not use an electrical tool with a defective
switch.
An electrical tool that can be no longer switched
on or off is dangerous and must be repaired.
• Pull the plug from the socket and/or remove the
rechargeable battery before making adjustments
to the product, replacing components or putting
the product away.
These precautionary measures will prevent the
electrical tool from being started accidentally.
• Keep unused electrical tools out of the reach of
children. Do not allow the product to be used by
anyone who is not familiar with it or has not read
these instructions.
Electrical tools are dangerous if used by inexpe-
rienced persons.
• Handle electrical tools with care. Check that
moving parts are functioning properly and do not
stick, whether parts are broken or have been
damaged in a way that impairs the function of
the electrical tool. Have the damaged parts
repaired before you use the product.
Poorly maintained electrical tools are a common
cause of accidents.
• Keep the cutting tools sharp and clean.
Cutting tools with sharp cutting edges that have

tions. In doing so, take working conditions and
the work to be performed into consideration.
Using electrical tools for applications other than
those intended can result in dangerous situa-

This will maintain the safety of the electrical tool.
Safety instructions for lawn and shrub shears
• Keep all parts of your body away from the cut-
ting blade. Do not attempt to remove materials
to be cut or to hold already cut material when the
cutting tool is running. Only remove any jammed
material to be cut when the device is switched
off. Momentary distraction when using the shrub
shears and lawn shears can cause serious inju-
ries.
• Only use the product in daylight or with good
artificial light.
• Carry the product by its handle when the cutting
tool is stationary. Apply the protective cover for
transport and storage of the cutting tool. Careful
handling of the product reduces the danger of
injuries caused by the knife.
• Do not use the product with damages or missing
safety equipment or covers.
•Only switch the product on when your hands
and feet are far enough away from the cutting
blades.
• Be particularly careful
– when leaving the product unattended,
– before eliminating blockages,
– before checking, cleaning and working on
the product,
– after contact with a foreign object,
– when the product suddenly starts to vib-
rate abnormally.
• Protect yourself against injuries to hands and
feet caused by the cutting blades.
Safety information for rechargeable batteries/
charging devices
• Keep the charging device away from rain and
wet. The risk of electric shock increases if water
penetrates a charging device.
• Only charge the rechargeable batteries in char-
ging devices which were recommended by the
manufacturer. There is a danger of fire if a char-
ging device intended for a certain type or rechar-
geable battery is used for other batteries.
• Do not charge foreign batteries. The charging
device is only intended to charge this electrical
tool. Otherwise there is a danger of fire and
explosion.
• Keep the charging device clean. Soiling involves
the danger of an electric shock.
• Check the charging device, cable and plug
before each use. Do not use the charging device
if you detect any damage. Do not open the char-
ging device yourself and only have it repaired by
qualified professionals and only with original
spare parts. Damaged charging devices, cables
and plugs increase the risk of electric shock.
• Do not use the charging device on easily flam-
mables items (e.g. paper, textiles etc.) or in com-
bustible atmospheres. There is a danger of fire
due to the heating of the charging device during
the charging process.
• If it is used improperly, liquid can escape from
the rechargeable battery. Avoid contact with this
liquid. In case of accidental contact, rinse with
