• For areas indicating the tightening torque in this instruction manual, tighten to the specified torque by using a
torque wrench. For areas in which the tightening torque is indicated inside parentheses ( ), the tightening torque is
indicated as a reference value, however tightening using a torque wrench is not necessary.
• Do not modify the mud flap (rear).
• Do not install the mud flap (rear) in any way other than described in the following instructions.
• If in doubt, please contact your Mazda dealer to install the accessory in order to prevent errors in installation.
• If you have any questions about the use of the accessory, ask your Mazda dealer for proper advice before using it.
• Mazda and its suppliers are not responsible for injuries, accidents, and damage to persons and property that arise
from the failure of the dealer or installer to follow these instructions.
• To ensure safety and reliability of the work, installation, removal and disposal work must be carried out by an

REQUIRED TOOLS (Make sure they are at hand before starting work)
ӺPhillips screwdriver ӺSocket wrench (8mm) ӺNipper
ӺFastener remover wrapped with protective tape ӺUtility knife ӺBurr remover
Before performing any work,
park the vehicle on level
ground, apply the parking
brake securely, and then block
the wheels. If the vehicle
moves while performing work,
it may cause injury.
Be sure to cover the vehicle
body with protectors or mats
to prevent stains, scratches
and damage when removing/
installing the vehicle parts.
Using improper tools may
cause damage and or broken
parts. Use the correct tool for
the installation.
Wrap protective tape around
screwdrivers and fastener
remover tools to prevent
scratching the vehicle.
Put the removed parts and
the parts in the kit on the
protective sheet to prevent
scratches.
Make sure to remove burrs.
If any burrs remain,
deformation will occur.
Advice
Refer to the Workshop Manual
for removal and installation of
vehicle parts. If the procedures
in the workshop manual
are not followed, operating
problems or accidents may
result.

4. MUD FLAP (REAR) INSTALLATION
1. Remove the fasteners (2 places) as shown in the diagram.
• Discard these two (2) fasteners. They will not be reused.
2. Remove the tapping screws (2 places) at the bottom of the
splash shield as shown in the diagram.
3. Use a nipper or similar to cut along the dotted part of the thin
walled section on the underside of the splash shield.

• This instruction manual shows the left side installation. Perform the same procedure for the right side.

4. Securely push the clip nut into the rear bumper hole as far as it
will go until it clicks into place.
• When installing the clip nut, install it so that the flat
surface is facing toward the front of the vehicle.
5. Securely push the clip nut into the splash shield hole as shown in
the diagram as far as it will go until it clicks into place.
• When installing the clip nut, install it with the flat non-
threaded surface facing downward.
6. Install the well nut to the splash shield hole.
7. Install the tapping screws which were removed in step 2 to the
splash shield.
8. Place the mud flap (rear) against the rear over fender, and then
loosely install the fastener and the bolts (3 places).

9. Install while pushing the mud flap (rear) in the direction of the
arrow so that the gaps between the contact surfaces at the top
and bottom of the Vgroove are even.
At this time, fully tighten the bolts so that there is no gap
between the contact surfaces of the rear over fender.
Bolt tightening torque:0.8 ։1.2 Nm
10. While pushing the mud flap (rear) in the direction of the arrow,
fully tighten the bolts (2 places) so that there is no gap between
the contact surfaces of the rear over fender.
Bolt tightening torque:0.8 ։1.2 Nm

1. Verify that there are no gaps.
խխ• If there are any gaps, loosen the front and lower bolts (3 places), follow steps 9 to 10 again while checking that
there are no gaps at the rear over fender, and then retighten the bolts.
2. Check that the bolts and fastener are securely installed.
5. VERIFICATION AFTER INSTALLATION
