Intended users and patient target groups
Healthcare professionals and patients, including per-
sons who play a supporting role in care, are the inten-
ded users for this device, provided that the persons
supporting carer has received a briefing on this from
healthcare professionals. Healthcare professionals
should provide care to adults and children, applying
the available information on measurements/sizes and
required functions/indications, in line with the infor-
mation provided by the manufacturer, and acting un-
der their own responsibility.
Instructions for fitting and wear
The doctor or trained specialist must select the cor-
rect lipomed bra size based on the patient’s measure-
ments. If the patient has undergone breast augmenta-
tion, it is recommended that this product be used in
conjunction with the lipomed belt in order to prevent
implant displacement. lipomed products are designed
for unique use by one patient (lasting 4 - 6 weeks) fol-
lowing an operation (single patient use). If the product
is used in multiple instances or if it is modified, then
its medical safety is no longer guaranteed. Changes to
the design, cut and standard model can result in im-
pairments in the therapeutic medical efficacy of the
product and may put the patient at risk. Changes of
any kind executed by third parties shall render the EU
declaration of conformity (CE marking) required by
law for medical devices which is issued by the manuf-
acturer null and void.
Length of time that compression clothing should
be worn and used for
The doctor will stipulate the period of time that the de-
vice needs to be worn for depending on the type and
extent of the surgery. Generally, the device must be
worn for around four weeks. To elicit optimal results,
the lipomed bra should be worn day and night.
Instructions for care
The lipomed compression bra can be washed in a nor-
mal washing machine, using a mild, non-bleaching
detergent. The wash temperature should not exceed
40°C. Do not use fabric conditioner. Wash your lipo-
med compression clothing separately or with clothing
that is similar in colour.
Note: Before every wash, close any hook-and-loop fa-
steners in order to preserve their functionality and to
prevent damage to other items of clothing. Air dry, but
not in direct sunlight or on heating elements. Exces-
sively high temperatures may damage the elasticity of
the material and thus the medical efficacy of the lipo-
med bra. In order to prevent longer interruptions in

Intended purpose
Compression wear for use directly after plastic and ae-
sthetic surgery.
Product features
The lipomed bra exerts even pressure on the tissue
over the entire area. This compressive bra supports the
breast and simultaneously reduces build-up of oede-
ma and haematoma.
Indications
• Post-operative compression therapy following bre-
ast augmentation
• Post-operative compression therapy following bre-
ast reduction and breast lift surgery
• Compression therapy for breast reconstruction
Contraindications
• Arterial circulatory disorders
• Breathing difficulties
• Intolerance to material
Risks and side effects
If swelling or paraesthesia are observed while wearing
the compressive clothing, please contact your doctor
immediately. You should only wear this product for
long periods of time if recommended by your physi-
cian/Health Care Professional.
