Introduction
We congratulate you on the purchase of your new product.
You have chosen a high quality product. The instructions for
use are part of the product. They contain important informa-
tion concerning safety, use and disposal. Before using the
product, please familiarise yourself with all of the safety
information and instructions for use. Only use the product as
described and for the specified applications. If you pass the
product on to anyone else, please ensure that you also pass
on all the documentation with it.
Proper use
The product is intended for outdoor use. The product is in-
tended for private use only and not intended for commercial
or for use in other applications.
Not suitable for ordinary lighting in household
room illumination.
This product is suitable for extreme temperature up to
-21°C.

INSTRUCTIONS IN A SAFE PLACE IN CASE YOU NEED
TO REFER TO THEM AGAIN IN THE FUTURE!
This product can be used by children aged from 8 years
and above and persons with reduced physical, sensory or
mental capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge
if they have been given supervision or instruction concern-
ing use of the product in a safe way and understand the
hazards involved. Children shall not play with the
product. Cleaning and user maintenance shall not be
made by children without supervision.
Do not use the product if you detect any kind of damage.
The illuminant is not replaceable.
If the illuminant fails at the end of its life, the entire product
must be replaced.
Product-specific safety instructions
Make sure that the solar cell is free of dirt and free of
snow and ice in winter. Otherwise the performance of the
solar cell will diminish.
Safety instructions for batteries/
rechargeable batteries
DANGER TO LIFE! Keep batteries/rechargeable bat-
teries out of reach of children. If accidentally swallowed
seek immediate medical attention.

DANGER OF EXPLOSION! Never recharge
non-rechargeable batteries. Do not short-circuit
batteries/rechargeable batteries and/ or
open them. Overheating, fire or bursting can be the result.
Never throw batteries/rechargeable batteries into fire or
water.
Do not exert mechanical loads to batteries/ rechargeable
batteries.
Risk of leakage of batteries/rechargeable batteries
Avoid extreme environmental conditions and temperatures,
which could affect batteries/rechargeable batteries, e.g.
radiators/ direct sunlight.
If batteries/rechargeable batteries have leaked, avoid
contact with skin, eyes and mucous membranes with the
chemicals! Flush immediately the affected areas with fresh
water and seek medical attention!
WEAR PROTECTIVE GLOVES! Leaked or
damaged batteries/rechargeable batteries can
cause burns on contact with the skin. Wear suit-
able protective gloves at all times if such an event occurs.
In the event of a leakage of batteries/rechargeable batteries,
immediately remove them from the product to prevent
damage.
Remove batteries/rechargeable batteries if the product
will not be used for a longer period.
Risk of damage of the product
Only use the specified type of battery/rechargeable
battery!
Insert batteries/ rechargeable batteries according to
polarity marks (+) and (-) on the battery/rechargeable
battery and the product.
Clean the contacts on the battery/ rechargeable battery
and in the battery compartment before inserting!
Remove exhausted batteries / rechargeable batteries from
the product immediately.
Functioning
The solar cell installed in the product converts sunlight into
electrical energy and stores it in 1Ni-MH rechargeable bat-
tery. Switch on the product with the ON / OFF switch 5. The
product will automatically light on as it begins to get dark. The
in-built LED is a very long-life and energy-saving light source.
The light duration depends on the amount of sunlight, the an-
gle of light on the solar cell and the temperature (the re-
chargeable battery capacity is temperature-dependent). A

vertical angle of light at temperatures above the freezing point
is ideal. The rechargeable battery 8does not achieve maxi-
mum capacity until after several charge and discharge cycles.
Preparing for use
Note: Remove all packaging materials from the product.
Installing the product
Install the product in accordance with Figures A, C, D:
1. Rotate the solar cell housing 1anticlockwise out of the
lamp shade 2(see Fig. A).
2. Move the ON/OFF switch 5into the ON position to
switch the light on.
3. Insert the solar cell housing 1into the lamp shade 2and
tighten by turning it clockwise.
4. Place the lamp shade 2on to the pole 3.
5. Take out the ground stake 4from the pole 3and insert
it into the pole 3with the tip facing downwards (see
Fig. C).
6. Your product is ready for use (see Fig. D).
Setting up the product
Insert the assembled product far enough into the ground
(lawn, flower bed) for it to be stable.
Make sure you keep proper footing and balance at all
times. Do not use any force when assembling or setting-up
the product, e.g. hammer blows. This will damage the
product. In order to achieve the best result, set the product
up in a place where the solar cell will get direct sunlight
for as long as possible.
Make sure that the solar cell is not influenced by any
other source of light such as yard or street lighting as
otherwise the light will not come on in twilight.
The light automatically switches on in twilight conditions and
off again when normal outdoor lighting conditions return.
Replacing the rechargeable battery
The rechargeable battery should be replaced every
12 months to ensure optimum performance.

1. Separate the solar cell housing 1from the lamp shade
2by moving it anti-clockwise (see Fig. A). Switch off the
light with the ON-/OFF-switch 5.
2. Loosen the fastening screws 6by using a small cross
head screwdriver and then lever out the battery compart-
ment lid 7of the solar cell housing 1with the help of a
slot screwdriver (see Fig. B).
3. Take care not to damage the cables and cable connections
(see Fig. B).
4. Exchange the old rechargeable battery 8to a new one.
Take care about the correct polarity, when inserting the
new rechargeable battery. The polarity is indicated in the
battery compartment. The new rechargeable battery has
to have the same technical data like the old one.
5. Now again fasten the battery compartment lid 7, fasten
the fastening screws 6by using a small cross head screw-
driver. Slide the ON/ OFF switch 5to the position ON.
6. Connect the solar cell housing 1again to the lamp
shade 2and then connect every part of the product to
each other (see Fig. C).
Charging the rechargeable battery
Note that the product must be switched on when the recharge-
able battery is charging.
The charging time of the rechargeable battery when the solar
cell is used depends on the intensity of the sunlight and the
angle of incidence of the light on the solar cell. Place the solar
cell as perpendicular as possible to the angle of incidence of
the light. In this way you will receive the highest light levels.
Maintenance and care
The LED cannot be replaced. The product is maintenance-free,
except for any necessary change of rechargeable battery.
Clean the product regularly with a dry, lint-free cloth. Use a
slightly dampened cloth to remove more stubborn dirt.
Troubleshooting
Note: This product has delicate electronic components. This
means that if it is placed near an object that transmits radio
signals, it could cause interference. If you notice that the
product is malfunctioning, remove any sources of interference
from the area of the product.

Note: Electrostatic discharges may cause product to malfunc-
tion. In the event of such malfunctions, remove the rechargea-
ble battery briefly and reinsert it.

The packaging is made entirely of recyclable materials, which
you may dispose of at local recycling facilities.

Observe the marking of the packaging materials
for waste separation, which are marked with abbre-
viations (a) and numbers (b) with following
meaning: 1–7: plastics/20–22: paper and
fibreboard/80–98: composite materials.
The product and packaging materials are recycla-
ble, dispose of it separately for better waste treat-
ment. The Triman logo is valid in France only.
Contact your local refuse disposal authority for
more details of how to dispose of your worn-out
product.
To help protect the environment, please dispose of
the product properly when it has reached the end
of its useful life and not in the household waste.
Information on collection points and their opening
hours can be obtained from your local authority.
Faulty or used batteries / rechargeable batteries must be
recycled in accordance with Directive 2006/66/EC and its
amendments. Please return the batteries/rechargeable batteries
and/or the product to the available collection points.

Environmental damage through incorrect
disposal of the batteries/ rechargeable
batteries!
Batteries/rechargeable batteries may not be disposed of with
the usual domestic waste. They may contain toxic heavy metals
and are subject to hazardous waste treatment rules and regu-
lations. The chemical symbols for heavy metals are as follows:
Cd = cadmium, Hg = mercury, Pb = lead. That is why you
should dispose of used batteries/rechargeable batteries at a
local collection point.
Warranty
The product has been manufactured to strict quality guidelines
and meticulously examined before delivery. In the event of
product defects you have legal rights against the retailer of
this product. Your legal rights are not limited in any way by
our warranty detailed below.
The warranty for this product is 3 years from the date of
purchase. Should this product show any fault in materials or
manufacture within 3 years from the date of purchase, we will
repair or replace it – at our choice – free of charge to you.
The warranty period begins on the date of purchase. Please
keep the original sales receipt in a safe location. This docu-
ment is required as your proof of purchase. This warranty
becomes void if the product has been damaged, or used or
maintained improperly.
The warranty applies to defects in material or manufacture.
This warranty does not cover product parts subject to normal
wear, thus possibly considered consumables (e.g. batteries) or
for damage to fragile parts, e.g. switches, rechargeable batte-
ries or glass parts.

Smid batterier/akkuer aldrig i ild eller vand.
Udsæt batterier/akkuer ikke for mekanisk belastning.
Risiko for udsivning fra batteriene/ akkuerne
Undgå ekstreme betingelser og temperaturer, som kan på-
virke batterier/akkuer, f.eks. varmelegemer/direkte sollys.
Hvis batterier/akkuer er lækket, skal du undgå at få
kemikalierne på huden, i øjnene og i slimhinderne! Skyl
de berørte steder med det samme med klart vand og op-
søg en læge!
BÆR BESKYTTELSESHANDSKER! Udløbne
eller beskadigede batterier/ akkuer kan forår-
sage ætsninger ved berøring med huden. Bær i
dette tilfælde derfor egnede beskyttelseshandsker.
I tilfælde af en lækage hos batterierne/ akkuerne, skal
De fjerne disse med det samme fra produktet for at undgå
beskadigelser.
Fjern batterierne/akkuerne, når produktet ikke anvendes i
en længere periode.
Risiko for beskadigelse af produktet
Anvend udelukkende den angivne batteri-/akkutype!
Indsæt batterier/akkuer iht. polaritetsmærkningen (+) og
(-) til batteri/akku og produktet.
Rengør kontakter ved batteri/ akku og i batterirummet
inden ilægningen!
Fjern brugte batterier/akkuer omgående fra produktet.
Funktionsmåde
Ved solindstråling forvandler produktets indbyggede solcelle
lyset til elektrisk energi og lagrer denne i en Ni-MH-akku.
Tænd for produktet med ON-/OFF-kontakten 5. Produktet
tændes automatisk ved mørkets frembrud. Den indbyggede
LED er en energibesparende lyskilde, der har et meget langt
liv. Belysningens brændetid afhænger af sollyset, lysets ind-
faldsvinkel på solarcellen og temperaturen (på grund af batte-
rikapacitetens temperaturafhængighed). Ideel er en lodret
lysindfaldsvinkel ved temperaturer over frysepunktet. Akkuen
8opnår først efter flere oplade- og afladecykler sin maksi-
male kapacitet.

Ibrugtagning
Henvisning: Fjern emballagematerialet fuldstændigt.
Montering af produkt
Montér produktet iht. afbildningerne A, C, D:
1. Drej solarcellekabinettet 1mod urets retning ud af
lampeskærmen 2(se afbildning A).
2. Skub ON-/OFF-kontakten 5på position ON, for at
tænde for lyset.
3. Sæt solarcellekabinettet 1ind i lampeskærmen 2og
drej det fast i urets retning.
4. Stik lampeskærmen 2på staven 3.
5. Tag jordspydet 4ud af staven 3og sæt jordspydet 4
med spidsen nedad ind i staven 3(se afbildning C).
6. Deres produkt er nu indsatsklar (se afbildning D).
Opstilling af produkt
Stik det monterede produkt så langt ned i jorden (græs-
plæne, blomsterbed), så det står stabilt.
Sørg for en sikker stand. Anvend ikke vold ved montagen,
henholdsvis opstillingen, f.eks. gennem hammerslag. Dette
beskadiger produktet. For at opnå et optimalt resultat, skal
De opstille produktet på et sted, hvor solarcellen i så lang
tid så muligt er udsat for direkte sollys.
Sørg for at solcellen ikke påvirkes af en anden lyskilde,
som f.eks. gård- eller gadebelysning, da lyset ellers ikke
tændes i dæmringen.
Ved lav lysstyrke tændes produktet automatisk, ved
normal omgivelsesslystyrke slukkes lyset igen.
Udskiftning af akku
For at opnå en optimal ydelse, bør akkuen udskiftes elle 12 må-
neder.
1. Skil solarcellekabinettet 1fra lampenskærmen 2, idet
De drejer det mod urets retning (se afbildning A). Sluk for
lyset med ON-/OFF-kontakten 5idet De skubber kontak-
ten i position „OFF“.
2. Løsne ved hjælp af en lille stjerneskruetrækker fastgørel-
sesskruerne 6. Løft efterfølgende solarcellekabinettets 1
akkurumlåg 7op ved hjælp af en stjerneskruetrækker
(se afbildning B).

3. Vær opmærksom på, at De ikke beskadiger kabler eller
kabelforbindelser (se afbildning B).
4. Erstat den gamle akku 8gennem en ny. Sørg for korrekt
polaritet ved isætningen. Denne vises i batterirummet.
Anvend kun akkumulatorer af den anbefalede type (se
„tekniske data“).
5. Luk akkumulatorrlåget 7, spænd fastgørelsesskruerne 6
fast ved hjælp af en lille stjerneskruetrækker. Skub
ON-/OFF-kontakten 5til position „ON“.
6. Forbind solarcellekabinettet 1igen sammen med lampe-
skærmen 2. Sæt efterfølgende produktets andre dele
sammen (se afbildning C).
Opladning af batteri
Sørg for at produktet skal være tændt, når akkuen lader. Ak-
kuens opladningstid, i forbindelse med brug af solcellen, er
afhængig af sollysets lysintensitet og lysets indfaldsvinkel på
solcellen. Stil solcellen så lodret som muligt i forhold til lysets
indfaldsvinkel. På den måde opnås den højeste stråleintensitet.
Vedligeholdelse og rengøring
LED´en kan ikke udskiftes. Produktet er, udover et påkrævet
akkuskift, vedligeholdelsesfrit.
Rengør produktet regelmæssigt med en tør fnugfri klud.
Anvend en let fugtet klud til stærkere tilsmudsninger.
Rettelse af fejl
Henvisning: produktet indeholder følsomme elektroniske
byggedele. Derfor er det muligt, at det forstyrres af radiosen-
deapparater i umiddelbar nærhed. Hvis De konstaterer forstyr-
relser i funktionen, så skal disse forstyrrelseskilder fjernes fra
produktets omgivelser.
Henvisning: Elektrostatisk afladning kan resultere i funkti-
onsforstyrrelser. Fjern ved sådanne funktionsforstyrrelser
kortvarigt akkuen og indsæt denne påny.

faldssorteringen, disse er mærket med forkortelser
(a) og numre (b) med følgende betydning:
1–7: kunststoffer/ 20–22: papir og pap /

ges; bortskaf disse særskilt til en bedre affaldsbe-
handling. Triman-logoet gælder kun for Frankrig.

For miljøets skyld, så må produktet aldrig smides ud

Defekte eller brugte batterier/akkuer skal genbruges iht.
retningslinje 2006/66/EF og dennes ændringer. Aflevér
batterier/akkuer og/eller produktet via et af de tilbudte
indsamlingssteder.
Miljøskader gennem forkert bortskaffelse
af batterierne/akkuerne!
Batterier/akkuer må ikke bortskaffes via husholdningsaffaldet.
De kan indeholde giftige tungmetaller og er underlagt behand-
lingen for særaffald. De kemiske symboler for tungmetaller er
følgende: Cd = kadmium, Hg = kviksølv, Pb = bly. Aflverer
derfor brugte batterier/ akkuer hos en kommunal genbrugs-
station.

Produktet blev produceret omhyggeligt efter de strengeste
kvalitetskrav og kontrolleret grundigt inden levering. Hvis der
forekommer mangler ved dette produkt, så har de juridiske
rettigheder over for sælgeren af dette produkt. Disse juridiske
rettigheder indskrænkes ikke af vores garanti, der beskrives i
det følgende.
De får 3 års garanti fra købsdatoen på dette produkt. Garan-
tifristen begynder med købsdatoen. Opbevar den originale
kassebon på et sikkert sted. Denne kassebon behøves som
dokumentation for købet.

står en materiale- eller fabrikationsfejl, bliver produktet repare-
ret eller erstattet – efter vores valg – af os uden omkostninger
for dem. Garantien bortfalder, hvis produktet bliver beskadiget
eller ikke anvendes eller vedligeholdes korrekt.
Garantien gælder for materiale- eller fabrikationsfejl. Denne
garanti dækker ikke produktdele, som er udsat for normalt slid
og derfor kan betragtes som normale sliddele (f.eks. batterier)
eller ved skader på skrøbelige dele; f.eks. kontakter, akkumu-
latorer som er fremstillet af glas.
