ROUGH OPENING DIMENSIONS
1) Prepare Installation Opening
1a) Opening must be plumb, square and completed before beginning assembly. Mounting platform
must be minimum 21-1/16" [533mm] wide by 23" [584mm] deep with no setback (Min.),
23-3/4" [603mm] deep with 3/4" [19mm] setback (Max.)
It is the responsibility of the installer to ensure installation opening is rated for the
"Required Platform Weight Capacity" and can support the shelving system in the
service (extended) position. Failure to do so can result in serious damage to
equipment and / or risk of injury.
NOTE: Self centering base removes from shelving system for easy installation. Remove
center screw (DO NOT discard) from bottom shelf on shelving system. Remove
locking trim panel. (DO NOT discard) (FIGURE A)

2) Mount self centering base to mounting platform

2a) Carefully place self centering base on mounting
platform. Slide self centering base out so that
the slides and mounting holes are visible. Using
customer supplied mounting hardware, mount
self centering base to mounting platform in 4
rear-most mounting locations. Slide the base
into the closed position and check that there are
no obstructions. If ok, install screws in remaining
mounting locations until all 14 places are used.
(See FIGURE C for mounting hole locations)
2b) Close self centering base once it is mounted to
mounting platform.
2c) Wheels on self centering base may shift during transit, ensure wheels are
aligned to center before installing shelving system. (FIGURE D)

3) Install shelving system to self centering base
3a) Carefully lift shelving system and place on top
of self centering base. Attach the bottom
of the shelving system to the self centering
base using the center screw provided
and tighten. (FIGURE D)

NOTE: Slot on bottom of shelving system needs to engage
onto this index pin before inserting shoulder screw.
Please use caution so as not to damage index pin.
NOTE: Install locking trim panel to simplify installation
of shelving system.

4b) Position equipment on shelf and install
L brackets using provided screws and
nuts (2) (FIGURE F). L brackets
prevent components from sliding.
4c) L brackets also mount to the rear of the
bottom fixed shelf. Using provided wood
screws (4), carefully install in appropriate
location.
4) Installing Shelves
4a) Fully insert pins in appropriate
location on front and rear of
shelving system and install
shelves. (FIGURE E)

This product must be properly secured in the host cabinet to prevent tipping. Host cabinets
must be secured to floor and/or wall to prevent tipping during servicing.
Professional installation recommended
1. When loading equipment into the ASR, place components on bottom shelves first and
work upwards.
2. Load heaviest equipment on the bottom and gradually work upwards by equipment weight.
3. Overloading equipment may increase chance of tipping.
4. Do NOT allow children to climb or hang on shelves - PHYSICAL INJURY MAY RESULT.
5. This product is not designed or intended to be used for television installations.
(Do NOT attempt to mount television equipment in shelving system)

DID YOU KNOW?
ASR-HD shelves are designed to accept
rear horizontal or vertical mounting of
8 outlet, 15 amp PD-815SC and
PD-815SC-NS power strips.
NOTE: When mounting power strip, be
careful not to mount circuit breaker

5) MANAGE CABLES
5a) Slide out shelving system. To rotate,
pull lower release lever. (FIGURE G
)
NOTE: Determine direction shelving system will rotate before beginning cable management.
5b) Extend shelving system and rotate 60o.
Select one side of shelving system for
signal cables, and the opposite side
for power and speaker cables. Lace cables
as shown, ensuring cables are fairly taut.
This ensures that the service loop will be
the correct length and not be pinched
when closing the rack.
NOTE: The shelving system will only rotate
in the direction originally selected
when cabling is complete.
NOTE: Hook and loop fasteners are
provided and should be used on the
rear of the shelves and lacer bars
to hold wires in place.

Cable Management Tip:
Tie your cable bundles at least every 6" - 8".
This allows cable bundles to lay neatly
together when shelving system is in the
closed position.

WARRANTY
Middle Atlantic Products, Inc. (the "Company") warrants the ASR-XX-HD Slide Out and Rotating Shelving System to be free from defects in material or workmanship under normal
use and conditions for a period of (3) three years from date of shipment by the Company.
The Company's entire liability to the purchaser, and the purchaser's (or any other party's) sole and exclusive remedy, under this warranty shall be limited, at the Company's option, to
either (a) return of and refund of the price paid for, or (b) repair or replacement at the Company's factory of the products purchased, or any part or parts thereof, which the Company
has determined to be defective after inspection thereof at the Company's factory. This warranty does not cover damage due to acts of God,accident, misuse, abuse or negligence by
parties other than the Company, or any modification or alteration of the products. In addition, this warranty does not cover damage due to improper handling, assembly, installation or
maintenance.
THIS WARRANTY IS IN LIEU OF ALL OTHER WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESSED OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING, BUT NOT LIMITED TO, IMPLIED WARRANTIES
OF MERCHANTABILITY AND FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE.
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, IN NO EVENT SHALL THE COMPANY BE LIABLE FOR ANY SPECIAL, INCIDENTAL, INDIRECT, OR
CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES WHATSOEVER (INCLUDING, WITHOUT LIMITATION, DAMAGES FOR LOSS OF BUSINESS PROFITS, BUSINESS INTERRUPTION OR ANY
OTHER PECUNIARY LOSS) ARISING OUT OF THE USE OF THE PRODUCTS PURCHASED, EVEN IF THE COMPANY HAS BEEN ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH
DAMAGES. THE COMPANY'S LIABILITY TO THE PURCHASER (OR ANY OTHER PARTY) HEREUNDER, IF ANY, SHALL IN NO EVENT EXCEED THE PURCHASE PRICE OF
THE PRODUCTS PAID TO THE COMPANY.
