TIPPING HAZARD: Host enclosure (cabinet) MUST be adequately secured to the floor it
rests on to prevent cabinet from falling forward when shelving system
is extended for servicing. Shelving system must be secured to the host
enclosure as detailed in these instructions. Overloading equipment may
increase chances of tipping.

YOU ARE RESPONSIBLE: It is the responsibility of the installer to ensure millwork is
rated for the "Required Millwork Weight Capacity" and can
support the shelving system in the service (extended) position.
Failure to do so can result in serious damage to equipment and
or risk of injury. Installation must be performed in strict
adherence to the specifications within this instructions sheet.

Installation Opening Preparation
1) Install Lacer Bar(s) (K) onto rear wall of host enclosure
as shown. (FIGURE A) Your installation may require
Lacer Bars to be placed in a different position. Lacer Bar
placement should be arranged so that signal wires can be
separated from power/speaker cables upon finishing .
3) Ensure that installation opening is clean and clear of debris.
4) Plumb and level installation opening and mounting surface.
WARNING: Do not attempt installation unless base has
been proven to be level in 2 directions. Failure to do so may
result in the ASR Shelving System to slide out freely, causing
personal injury or damage to equipment installed in it.

2) Pull existing cables into host enclosure
and secure to Lacer Bar(s) so cables are
cleared from the installation opening.

NOTE: Models ASR-30 and ASR-36 include 1
Lacer Bar which may be mounted horizontally if
better suited to your installation. Models ASR-42
and ASR-48 include 2 Lacer Bars.

UNPACK AND INSTALL SYSTEM BASE / SLIDER ASSEMBLY
NOTE: If any parts are damaged or missing, call 1-800-266-7225. Do not return
to the place of purchase.
1) Unpack all parts carefully on a flat, clean surface. Inspect all packaging and
remove hardware kits before discarding.
2) Firmly press rollers into holes on base (D/E), using the locking panel (J) as a
straight edge guide (FIGURE A). Ensure all rollers are seated fully into holes
on base. If needed, gently tap around edges with a hammer, taking care not to
damage the plastic.

3) Use tape to attach the paper mounting template (H) to the base of the installation
opening. (FIGURE B)
NOTE: The template is marked with a dotted fold-line to help position for flush or setback
mounting. 3/4" setback is suggested when customer supplied doors are used.
4) Use the paper mounting template (H) to mark base installation holes and locking
bracket (G) installation holes with the supplied nail. Gently tap the nail with a hammer
to mark each hole location.
NOTE: ASR-30, ASR-36: 100 LB Capacity; uses 2 outer slides
ASR-42, ASR-48: 200 LB Capacity; uses all 4 slides
You may also choose to drill pilot holes in the marked mounting hole locations.
A 1/8" drill bit is required. Do not over-size the pilot holes, as over-sized holes will
compromise the strength of your mounting.

5) Remove the mounting template and mount the locking bracket (G) to the
base of the opening using (2) #12 wood screws (O) supplied (FIGURE C).
Place the base assembly in the opening with the flat edge facing the front of
the opening and the rounded corners facing the rear. Starting with the rear
most holes, fasten the slides to the mounting surface using the #12 wood
screws (O) provided. Then, install the remaining screws to attach each slide
to the mounting surface securely, 4 screws per slide total. (FIGURE D)

1) Assemble bottom panel/shelf (B) to steel side panels (F)
using 6 large screws (N). Start by placing the
rear edge of the base panel/shelf on a sturdy surface
and the flanged edge of the side panel in the outer
position (FIGURE E). Attach the top (A) as shown,
starting with the circular holes, then fasten the oval holes.

2) Carefully lift the assembled shelving system into position on the base/slider assembly.
Use the rear edge of the shelving system for location. The rear of the shelving system
bottom should be flush with the rear of the system base/slider assembly and flush with
the sides of the installation opening (FIGURE F). Now, insert the 1" shoulder bolt (M)
into the hole in the center of the shelving system base. Thread the bolt by hand into the
receptacle in the base/slider assembly. Hand tighten only, do not over tighten. (FIGURE G)
Check the ease of system's rotation and back the shoulder bolt out slightly to ease rotation
if needed.
3) Slide shelving system in and out to check for interference. Install locking panel (J) to ensure
locking bracket (G) does not require adjustment. Adjust if needed.

1) Remove the locking panel (J) from the front of the shelving system (if installed).
Extend shelving system and rotate to allow for rear access of equipment to be
installed. Turn your first piece of equipment upside-down, taking care not to
damage any of the buttons, switches, other moving parts, or the finish of your
unit. Remove the tape Back from a small Velcro®circle (Q). Stick the Velcro®
circle (Q) to the foot of your unit. Next, mate a large Velcro®circle (R) to the small
Velcro®circle (Q). Repeat this process for all other feet on your piece of equipment
and press down firmly. (FIGURE H)
NOTE: Before proceeding with equipment
mounting, remove all media sources from
all devices. CD's, DVD's, VHS tapes, etc

NOTE: Before proceeding with equipment and shelf mounting: a minimum of 1/2" should be
added to the height of each piece of equipment to allow for heat to dissipate from
the top of each unit. However, you may choose to add more than 1/2" to the height
of each piece of equipment to result in evenly spaced shelves upon finishing. (See
Pages 15 & 16)
2) Mount the first adjustable shelf (C) above the unit already installed leaving at least
1/2" of room between the top of your component and the shelf, or enough space to
evenly distribute the rest of the adjustable shelves to be installed (FIGURE H).
Repeat for rest of shelves to be installed.
3) Attach the locking panel to the locking bracket/front of shelving unit using 2 black
machine screws. Check that the shelving unit stays closed securely.

CABLE MANAGEMENT
1) Pull out and rotate shelving system in the direction you prefer.
HINT: Once cables are connected to equipment installed in the shelving
system and laced to Lacer Bar(s), the shelving system will be restricted
and should only be turned in the direction chosen.
2) Select one side of shelving system for signal cables, and the opposite side
for power and speaker cables. Lace cables as shown, ensuring cables are fairly taut.
This ensures that the service loop will be the correct length and not be pinched
when closing the rack.
3) Cable Management Tip:
Tie your cable bundles at least every 6" - 8". This allows cable bundles to lay neatly
together when shelving system is in the closed position.
WARNING: To reduce to risk of electrical shock, complete the following
steps before supplying power to equipment.

WARRANTY
Middle Atlantic Products, Inc. (the "Company") warrants the ASR Series Slide-out Rotating
Shelf System to be free from defects in material or workmanship under normal use and conditions
for a period of (3) three years from date of shipment by the Company.
The Company's entire liability to the purchaser, and the purchaser's (or any other parties) sole and
exclusive remedy, under this warranty shall be limited, at the Company's option, to either (a) return
of and refund of the price paid for, or (b) repair or replacement at the Company's factory of the
products purchased, or any part or parts thereof, which the Company has determined to be
defective after inspection thereof at the Company's factory.
This warranty does not cover damage due to acts of God, accident, misuse, abuse or negligence by
parties other than the Company, or any modification or alteration of the products. In addition, this
warranty does not cover damage due to improper handling, assembly, installation or maintenance.
THIS WARRANTY IS IN LIEU OF ALL OTHER WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESSED OR
IMPLIED, INCLUDING, BUT NOT LIMITED TO, IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY AND
FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE.
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, IN NO EVENT SHALL THE COMPANY
BE LIABLE FOR ANY SPECIAL, INCIDENTAL, INDIRECT, OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES
WHATSOEVER (INCLUDING, WITHOUT LIMITATION, DAMAGES FOR LOSS OF BUSINESS PROFITS,
BUSINESS INTERRUPTION OR ANY OTHER PECUNIARY LOSS) ARISING OUT OF THE USE OF THE
PRODUCTS PURCHASED, EVEN IF THE COMPANY HAS BEEN ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF
SUCH DAMAGES. THE COMPANY'S LIABILITY TO THE PURCHASER (OR ANY OTHER PARTY)
HEREUNDER, IF ANY, SHALL IN NO EVENT EXCEED THE PURCHASE PRICE OF THE PRODUCTS
