IMPORTANT SAFETY
1. Read carefully and save all the instructions.
2. For additional protection, we recommend the use of a
power outlet with a rated current of 10A.To avoid circuit
overload, do not operate another high wattage appliance
on the same circuit.
3. Do not fill kettle when positioned on base, Dry the water on
the bottom of the body before place it onto power base.
4. Never leave the appliance unattended when in use.
5. Close supervision is necessary when your appliance is
being used near children or infirm persons.
6. Electric kettle must be operated on a flat surface.
7. Do not place this appliance on or near a hot gas or electric
burner or on the top of other electric appliances.
8. Do not touch hot surfaces, use the handle. Be aware of
steam being emitted from spout or lid especially during
refilling.
9. Do not remove the lid while the water is boiling.
10. Do not use the kettle to heat anything other than water.
11. Do not fill above the "max" indication. If the kettle is
overfilled, boiling water may be ejected.
12. Do not operate kettle if water is below minimum.
13. Do not let the power cord hang over the edge of the table
or touch hot surfaces. Always store excess portion of the
power cord in the compartment of the base unit.
14. Do not immerse any part of the appliance in water or
other liquid.
15. Do not use your appliance with an extension cord unless
this cord has been checked and tested by a qualified
technician or service person. Always use your appliance
from a power outlet of the voltage(A.C.only)marked on the
appliance.
16. If the supply cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the

manufacturer, its service agent or similarly qualified persons
to avoid a hazard.
17.The kettle is only to be used with the stand provided.
18. Always unplug from the plugsocket when in following
conditions:No water in kettle Filling water Not in use
Before cleaning or moving kettle.
19. Call our free customer assistance number for
information or return to Midea Customer Sevice
Department for examination and repair. Never repair the
appliance by yourself.
WARNING:To reduce the risk of fire or electric shock , do
not remove the bottom cover of the body or the power
base by yourself.
20. Do not use a base unit other than the one supplied.The
use of accessory attachments not recommended by the
manufucturer may result in firei electrical shock or
personal injury.
21. Do not insert any object into slots or holes of the kettle.
22.This appliance is for household use only. Do not use
outdoors.
23.This appliance is intended to be used in household and

24. CAUTION:Do not operate the kettle on an inclined
plane. Do not operate the kettle unless the element is
fully immersed. Do not move while the kettle is switched
on.

•For the first time to use or no use for a long time, it is recommended that
you fill to the maximum level mark with fresh tap water, boil and fully
empty the kettle.
•Remove the kettle from the base before filling water.Turn the lid to 'Unlock'
position and remove. Fill the kettle with desired amount (no less than the
minimum and no more than the maximum.) Put back the lid; place the
kettle back on the base unit.
•Plug the base to a power outlet. Follow the instructions 1-6 to prepare
your tea.
NOTE: If the display show "---", it means that the kettle is not placed on the
base correctly. Please adjust the kettle again.
1. Powering on
1.1. Without kettle: After the product is powered on, the buzzer sounds a long
beep, the LED displays "---" and the buttons become unresponsive.
1.2. With kettle: After the product is powered on, the buzzer sounds a long
beep, the LED displays the current water temperature.
2. Selecting tea brewing programs and setting temperature and time
2.1. Selecting specific tea brewing programs
In standby mode: When you press the Program (#1) button at the first time,
the blue back light lights up around the button. Also the dot LED below
'HERBAL' appears and the LED display shows "1" indicating that the Herbal
Tea mode is selected.Then, you can select "1, 2, 3, 4 and 5" with the "-" /"+"
(#2/#3) button within 5 s. Figures have the following meanings:

1: herbal tea: 100°C, app. 6 minutes brewing time
2: black tea: 100°C, app. 6 minutes brewing time
3: oolong tea: 90°C, app. 5 minutes brewing time
4: white tea: 80°C, app.4 minutes brewing time
5: green tea: 70°C, app. 3 minutes brewing time
The dot LED will light up below or above the selected brewing mode. Press
On/off (#4) button to start brewing.The red backlight of On/off (#4) button
will turn on.
2.2. Setting tea brewing temperature: In standby mode: When you press
Program (#1) button twice, the product enters the temperature setting mode,
the LED displays 80°C by default. Then, you can set the tea brewing
temperature from 40 ~ 100°C with the "-" /"+" (#2/#3) button within 5s.
2.3. Setting tea brewing time: In standby status: When you press the Program
(#1) button three times, the product enters the time setting program, the
LED displays 1 min by default. Then, you can set the tea brewing time from
1 ~ 15 min with the "-" /"+" (#2/#3) button within 5s.
2.4. In standby mode: When you press the Program (#1) button four times, the
product returns to the setting program in 2.1. If there is no operation within
5 s after you press the Program (#1) button, the LED returns to display the
current water temperature; when you press the Program (#1) button again,
the product directly returns to the setting program you selected last time.)
2.5.The kettle will enter into 'Keep Warm' mode after it reaches the set
temperature during water boiling.The blue backlight of the Program (#1)
button turns on and the red backlight of On/off button (#4) turns off. Specific
tea brewing mode: After water boiling, the kettle will automatically goes into
Brewing mode and displays the default brewing time of the selected
program. In this mode, the brewing time can be changed by pressing "+"/"-"
(#2/#3) button.
User defined tea mode: After water boiling, the kettle will display the set
temperature. At this time, you can repeatedly press the Program (#1) button
to switch between temperature display and time display. In the temperature
display state, "-" /"+" (#2/#3) buttons are invalid; in the time display state,
you can press "-" /"+" (#2/#3) button to readjust the brewing time.

How to Use
3. Starting/Cancelling tea brewing
3.1. After the product is powered on, the kettle enters the standby mode,
please press the On/off button (#4) button.Then, the back light at On/off
button (#4) button turns on. The kettle starts to boil water according to
program "1" by default, the LED displays the target tea brewing temperature,
and after 3 s, the LED switches to display the current water temperature.
While water is boiling, you can press On/off button (#4) button again to
cancel water boiling and return to the standby mode.
3.2. After water is boiled to the set temperature, the buzzer sounds 3 times.
The backlight of Program (#1) button turns on. The backlight of On/off
button (#4) button turns off. The kettle starts 'Keep warm' mode.
3.3. When the kettle is in 'Keep Warm' mode, press the On/off (#4) button to
brew tea again. If you previously selected the specific tea brewing programs
"1-5", the kettle will follow the previous program again. If you previously
selected custom tea brewing, the kettle will brew tea at the custom tea
brewing temperature for custom tea brewing time. After tea brewing is
finished, the kettle starts to keep warm. During tea brewing, you can press
On/off button (#4) button to cancel tea brewing and return to the standby
mode. (If the kettle is brewing tea, the indicator light corresponding to tea
brewing on the bottom right corner of the LED turns on; else, this
indicator light turns off)
4. Warm
4.1.The kettle goes into 'Keep Warm' mode after water reaches to the set
temperature.The backlight of Program (#1) button stays on during warm
keeping,
Note :if there is no operation for 30 minutes, the kettle stops keeping warm
and turns off any display by default.
4.2.The kettle goes into 'Keep Warm' mode after brewing is finished.
5. Standby to save energy:
In standby mode, if there is no operation for 15 minutes, the kettle will turn off.
6. Other useful functions
6.1. Long press on Program (#1) button enables silent operation.
6.2. Long press on On/off (#4) button turns off the kettle. When the kettle is
off, press any button to restart the kettle.

Note:
• During boiling water, brewing tea and after brewingtea,no button is available
except the On/off button (#4) button.PressingOn/off button (#4) button
cancels tea brewing andthe kettle returnsto the standby status.
• If kettle is not placed on the base, the LED displays "---" and the buttons
become unresponsive.In any status after startup, when you replace it on
the base after lifting it, theproduct returns to the standby status again.

To prolongthe kettle's life, please clean the mineral deposits in the kettle
regularly. Always unplug andallow to cool down before cleaning. Do notuse
chemical, steel wool, or abrasive cleaners to clean the outside of the kettle,
as these may damage the surface.
1. Fill the kettle with 0.5Lwhite vinegar and the remainder with water and
allow to stand for over l hours.
2. Empty the solutionfrom the kettle. Wipe off the deposits remained with
damp cloth.
3. Fill the kettle with clean water, bring to boil and then discard the water.
Repeat and the kettlewill be ready to use.
4. If necessary, repeat the cleaning process above for several times.
5. Do not immerse into water. Thesurface ofthe kettle may be wiped over.
6. Grasp the top of thescaleinfuserand pull upwards to remove. Wash with
clean water and dry thoroughly before replacing in the kettle.
