the time of system installation.
How to Set Call Forwarding for Your Extension
The Call Forwarding feature will only activate the call forwarding for calls that are directed to your
extension specifically. To set call forwarding for all incoming calls to your main number to an outside
line, you will need to use your line provider’s Call Forwarding feature. Contact your line provider for the
appropriate Call Forwarding code.
Set call forward to an external phone number
Using the Call Forward feature on your phone system will take two phone lines for each forwarded call,
for the duration of the call.
1. From your Mitel desk phone, with the handset on hook, dial 355.
2. Press 8 + phone number.
3. FWD ALL CALLS TO <number> appears in the display.
4. Press the #Key to complete.
Note: If it is a long-distance number, be sure to enter 9+1+area code + phone number +
#.
Cancel call forward
1. From your Mitel desk phone, with the handset on hook, dial 355.
2. Press the Forward button.
3. Press the #key.
How to Record an Alternate Greeting for Your Extension’s Voicemail Box
Change/Rerecord your default greeting or record a temporary/alternate greeting.
1. From your desk phone, press the VM Retrieve button or dial 2501.
2. Enter your voicemail security code when prompted.
3. From the main menu, press 4for Personal Options.
4. Press 1to record or change your greeting.
5. Press 2for the alternate greeting.
6. After recording, press #.
Note: When you are ready to return to your primary greeting, you will simply switch back
to your regular greeting using the same steps above. Press 1to enable your primary
greeting.
