IMPORTANT
SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
This document contains important safety and operating
instructions. Please read these instructions carefully and
save them for future reference.
Before using the battery charger, read all the instructions and
cautionary markings on (1) the charger, (2) the battery, and (3) the
radio using the battery.
1. To reduce risk of injury, charge only the
rechargeable authorized NiMH and Li-lon batteries.
Other batteries may explode, causing personal
injury and damage.
2. Use of accessories not recommended by manufacturer may
result in risk of fire, electric shock, or injury.
3. To reduce risk of damage to the electric plug and cord, pull by
the plug rather than the cord when disconnecting the
charger.

4. An extension cord should not be used unless
absolutely necessary. Use of an improper extension
cord could result in risk of fire and electric shock. If
an extension cord must be used, make sure that the
cord size is 18AWG for lengths up to 100 feet (30.48m), and
16AWG for lengths up to 150 feet (45.72m).
5. To reduce risk of fire, electric shock, or injury, do not operate
the charger if it has been broken or damaged in any way.
Take it to a qualified manufacturer service representative.
6. Do not disassemble the charger; it is not repairable and
replacement parts are not available. Disassembly of the
charger may result in risk of electrical shock or fire.
7. To reduce risk of electric shock, unplug the power supply from
the AC outlet before attempting any maintenance or cleaning.

OPERATIONAL SAFETY GUIDELINES
• This equipment is not suitable for outdoor use. Use only in dry
locations/conditions.
• Connect equipment only to an appropriately fused and wired
supply of the correct voltage (as specified on the product).
• When not in use, disconnect the power supply from the AC
outlet.
• The socket outlet to which the power supply is connected
should be close by and easily accessible.
• Maximum ambient temperature around the power supply
equipment must not exceed 40°C (104°F).
• Output power from the power supply unit must not exceed the
ratings stated on the product label located on the top of the
power supply housing.
• Make sure the cord is located where it will not be stepped on,
tripped over, or subjected to water, damage, or stress.
SERVICE
The single unit charger is not repairable. Order replacement
charger as necessary.

BATTERY CHARGER
The Mag One Tri-Chem Rapid
Charger (PMLN5041_) allows
the drop-in charging of the
battery while attached to the
radio or separately.
Battery Charging
Temperature: 5-40°C
To get maximum use from a
new battery, charge it
overnight (12-16 hours) before
using the battery for the first
time.
For optimum charger performance:
1. Charge battery at 20-25°C ambient temperatures.
2. Radio should be turned off, if attached.
Note:
Typical time needed to completely charge the discharged battery is
estimated within 2.5 - 3 hours depending on cell chemistry.

Charging Instructions
1. Make sure the radio is Off.
2. Plug the power supply into an electric outlet.
3. Connect the power supply output cord connector into the rear
of the Desktop Charging Tray.
4. The LED on the charger blinks green once to indicate charger
is turned on.
5. Insert the radio into the pocket of the Desktop Charging Tray.
If the battery is being charged separately, insert the battery
into the back pocket of the Desktop Charging Tray.
6. The charger’s LED color will indicate the battery charging
status. (See table below).

The battery chargers should be used with the direct plug-in,

PENTING MENGENAI KESELAMATAN
Dokumen ini berisi petunjuk penting mengenai keselamatan
dan penggunaan produk. Bacalah petunjuk ini dengan

Sebelum menggunakan pengisi baterai, bacalah semua petunjuk
dan tanda peringatan yang terdapat pada (1) pengisi baterai, (2)
baterai, dan (3) radio yang menggunakan baterai.
1. Untuk mengurangi risiko cedera, gunakan
hanya baterai NiMH dan Li-Ion isi ulang yang
resmi. Baterai yang lain dapat meledak dan
menyebabkan cedera atau kerusakan.
2. Penggunaan aksesori yang tidak disarankan
oleh pihak manufaktur dapat mengakibatkan kebakaran,
sengatan listrik, atau cedera.
3. Untuk mengurangi risiko terjadinya kerusakan steker dan

4. Jangan menggunakan kabel perpanjangan
kecuali amat terpaksa. Penggunaan kabel
perpanjangan secara tidak benar dapat
mengakibatkan kebakaran dan sengatan
listrik. Jika terpaksa menggunakan kabel
perpanjangan, pastikan ukuran kabel
adalah 18AWG untuk panjang sampai dengan 100 kaki
(30.48m) dan 16AWG untuk panjang sampai dengan 150 kaki
(45.72m).
5. Untuk mengurangi risiko kebakaran, sengatan listrik, atau
cedera, jangan menggunakan pengisi baterai bila pengisi
baterai rusak atau cacat. Bawalah pengisi baterai ke
perwakilan servis yang resmi.
6. Jangan membongkar pengisi baterai; pengisi baterai tidak
dapat diperbaiki dan suku cadang pengganti tidak tersedia.
Pembongkaran pengisi baterai dapat mengakibatkan
sengatan listrik atau kebakaran.
7. Untuk mengurangi risiko sengatan listrik, lepaskan catu daya
dari stopkontak listrik sebelum melakukan tindakan
pemeliharaan atau pembersihan.

PEDOMAN KESELAMATAN UNTUK
PENGGUNAAN PRODUK
• Peralatan ini tidak cocok untuk digunakan di luar ruangan.
Gunakan hanya di lokasi/kondisi yang kering.
• Hubungkan alat ke catu daya listrik yang dilengkapi sekring dan
rangkaian yang baik dengan voltase yang sama (seperti yang
tertera pada produk).
• Bila tidak digunakan, lepaskan catu daya listrik dari stopkontak
arus bolak-balik.
• Stopkontak listrik yang akan digunakan untuk catu daya ini
sebaiknya cukup dekat dan mudah dicapai.
• Suhu sekitar maksimum di daerah peralatan catu daya listrik
tidak boleh melebihi 40°C (104°F).
• Daya keluaran dari unit catu daya listrik tidak boleh melebihi
spesifikasi yang tertera pada label produk di sisi atas rumah
catu daya.

Untuk memperoleh kinerja optimum dari pengisi
baterai:
1. Isilah baterai pada suhu sekitar 20-25°C.
2. Pesawat radio dalam keadaan dimatikan, jika terhubung
dengan baterai.
Catatan:
Waktu normal yang diperlukan untuk mengisi penuh baterai yang
kosong sama sekali adalah sekitar 2,5 - 3 jam, tergantung pada
komposisi kimia baterai.
Petunjuk Pengisian
1. Pastikan pesawat radio dalam keadaan Dimatikan.
2. Hubungkan catu daya dengan stopkontak listrik.
3. Hubungkan konektor kabel keluaran catu daya ke bagian
belakang Dudukan Pengisian Desktop.
4. LED pada pengisi baterai akan berkedip hijau satu kali untuk
menandakan bahwa pengisi baterai sudah menyala.
5. Masukkan pesawat radio ke dalam lubang dudukan pada
Dudukan Pengisian Desktop. Jika baterai diisi secara terpisah,
masukkan baterai ke dalam dudukan belakang pada Dudukan
Pengisian Desktop.
6. Warna LED pengisi baterai akan menandakan status
pengisian baterai. (Lihat tabel di bawah).
