How to detect
Thunderbolt device
on ThunderboltM3

Step0: Please refer manual on page2 and page3 for
installing ThunderboltM3 card.

•Settings \ Advanced\Windows OS configuration\Windows10
WHQL Support: UEFI
–Fourth level
»Fifth level
Step1: Please setting “Windows10 WHQL Support” to
UEFI in BIOS setup.

•Settings \ Advanced \ Intel® Thunderbolt / Discrete
Thunderbolt(TM) Support : Enabled
Step2: Please setting “Discrete Thunderbolt(TM)
Support ” to Enabled in BIOS setup.

•Or please press “Save Changes and Reboot” and then press “OK
button”. Setting \ Save & Exit
Step3: Press F10 button for saving change and exit.

•Settings \ Advanced \ Intel® Thunderbolt /
Discrete Thunderbolt(TM) configuration \
Windows 10 Thunderbolt support: Enabled
Step4: Into BIOS setup again.
Step5: Please setting “Windows 10 Thunderbolt
Support” to Enabled.

Step6: Please wait 20 seconds.
Step7: Press F10 button for saving change and exit.
Please refer setp3.
Step8: Install Windows 10 OS again and then must be
connect Thunderbolt device on ThunderboltM3 card.

Step9: Please install driver for this unknown device-
“Base System device” in device manager.
•It is driver for ThunderboltM3 on MSI website.

Step10: It will be showed “Thunderbolt(TM) control” in
device manager after installing driver.

Step11: Please install “Thunderbolt Control Center” on
Microsoft store.

Step12: Please setting “Always Connect” in “Thunderbolt
Control Center” and then also click “OK” button.
