Card, isa Type IIIB card, which canbeusedtointegratewith
suchsystemsasnotebook,mini-barebone,PDA,portablePC.
WithMSIMP54GBT3embedded inside,asystemcouldpro-
vide users withtheabilityandflexibilitytoconnect uptoInternet
wirelesslyvia 802.11g withspeedupto54Mbps,and tolink
withperipheralswirelesslythrough BluetoothTM v2.0 andad-
vanced EDR(EnhancedDataRate) technology. BluetoothTM
v2.0 technology increasesthedatarateof BluetoothTM v1.1/1.2
from1.0Mbpsto2.1Mbps.
MSIMP54GBT3istakingadvantage ofleadingtechnologies
fromRalinkandCSR.Itaddresses theco-existence issues in
PAN(Personal Area Network) andWLAN(WirelessLocalArea
Network)marketsby providing truesimultaneousconnectivity
whiledeploying IEEE802.11gandBluetoothv2.0Along with

InfrastructureMode: The differencebetween Infrastructure

InBluetoothConnection
Theterm Bluetooth”refers toaworldwide standardforthe
wirelessexchangeofdatabetween twodevices.Inordertoex-
changedata, twoBluetoothdevices must establishaconnection.
Beforeaconnectionisestablished,onedevicemustrequesta
connection withanother.Theseconddevice accepts(or rejects)
the connection.Theoriginatoroftherequestisknownasthe
client. The devicethat accepts(orrejects) therequest isknown
asthe server. ManyBluetoothdevicescanact asbothclientand
server.EveryBluetoothdevice that providesaservicemustbe
prepared torespondtoaconnectionrequest. Bluetoothsoft-
wareisalwaysrunninginthebackgroundontheserver,readyto
respond toconnection requests.

1. Locatethe MiniPCIslotonthe mainboard.Placeyour
MP54GBT3over theMiniPCIslot(at an angleof30
degrees).Then,gentlyinsertit intothe slotuntilthe
goldenfinger ofthe cardgetsfullyinserted.
2. Press downthecard,andtheretainingclips(ontwo
sidesoftheslot) willlockontothenotchesof the card.
3. Connect theattenna’scabletotheconnector onthecard.

Please NOTE thattheMP54GBT3shouldbe installedinto
your computerbeforeinstallingthe driverandutility.Then,
the operating systemwilldetectanewdeviceand start tocon-
figurethenewdevice.Click Cancel heretostart installation
fromtheInstallShieldWizard.
