also reduce the impact on the environment from in-
dustrial processes.
Read all product documentation and the product iden-
tification plate carefully before installation, use, and
service of this product. Replace documentation imme-
diately if lost. Nederman reserves the right, without
previous notice, to modify and improve its products
including documentation.
This product is designed to meet the requirements
of relevant EC directives. To maintain this status, all
installation, maintenance, and repair is to be done
by qualified personnel using only Nederman original
spare parts and accessories. Contact the nearest au-
thorized distributor or Nederman for advice on tech-
nical service and obtaining spare parts. If there are
any damaged or missing parts when the product is de-
livered, notify the carrier and the local Nederman rep-
resentative immediately.

• Do not use the MFS filter for flammable dust
or explosive gases.
• MFS with Carbon/Gas filter must not be used
for dust or welding fumes.

advised about the risks of disease transmis-
sion, including C VID-19, through aerosol-gen-
erating procedures. The contents of this pub-
lication reflect Nederman’s best efforts to in-
terpret available guidance and provide recom-
mendations regarding the use of Nederman
products to mitigate the risk of disease trans-
mission inherent with aerosol-generating pro-
cedures.

3Description
3.1Intended use
The filter unit MFS is designed for filtration of aero-
sols (fog, mist, dust and fumes) as well as gases/va-
pours from solvents. It can be a part of a local exhaust
ventilation system for separating welding fumes con-
taining CMR (carcinogenic mutagenic reprotoxic) sub-
stances, where the complete system must be in com-
pliance with required legislations, see www.who.int
for classification of welding fumes.
NOTE!
The MFS filter is not suitable for use in collect-
ing combustible dust. The carbon/gas filter op-
tion can be used for controlling odours and va-
pours from non-toxic smelling solvents in mod-
erate concentrations.
