This manual contains operating, maintenance, and safety instructions, when
properly abided by it assures good operation and durability of your Mixer
VMN NOGUEIRA Harvester. We recommend carefully reading it, before
beginning to operate the machine.
Nogueira S/A is always at your disposal to answer any questions or
doubts and supply efficient and permanent technical support.
There is an identification plate fastened on the machine, which displays the
manufacturing serial number. Write this number on the guarantee certificate.
This information is extremely important to identify your machine.
The images displayed in this manual are only for illustrative purposes. Thus to facilitate
your viewing, the images show cutaway or the safety shielding removed to display it
more clearly. Do not operate the machine under any circumstances without these
respective protective shields.

CheckList
PRÉ-DELIVERY
Before the machine is delivered to the final customer, it is NECESSARY to perform the
following verifications. Each checked item means the verification has been performed.
qVerify the integrity of the machine and check if no components/parts are damaged or
missing before shipment.
qVerify if all the screws are installed and properly tightened.
qVerify if there is any damage in all the dynamic-oil components/parts (hydraulic) (oil
leakage, piping without defects, improper fittings etc).
qVerify the oil level in the gear reducer assembly and in the tank (fill as recommended
in the following pages, whenever indicated).
qVerify the mechanical parts if they are well lubricated, using a lubricator.
qVerify the tightness of the tire nuts and the inflation pressure.
qVerify if all the shields and SAFETY labels are in their proper place and applied
properly.
qVerify if the model and serial number of the machine corresponds to the identification
plate, as described in the following pages, and if the machine is in order as stated on the
bill of lading.
qVerify if the driveshaft covers (are free and they must not turn by the axle).
qVerify if all the moving mechanical parts are well adjusted and turn freely (discharge
conveyor, thread blade etc).
DELIVERY
The following checklist MUST be verified jointly with the customer when the machine is
delivered (AT DELIBERY TIME). Each checked item means the verification has been
performed.
qThe machine has been verified with the customer making sure it adheres to the bill of
lading.
qThe “Operation and Maintenance Manual” was delivered to the customer and
explained to the respective personnel the correct operating procedures BEFORE starting
it operation.
qThe SAFETY measures, as described in the manual, were explained and reviewed
with the customer.
qAll the safety shielding covers and operating commands were explained and reviewed.
qThe “GOOD STANDARD PROCEDURES FOR CORRECT USAGE OF THE MIXER
WAGON” were explained and reviewed with the customer.
qThe routine maintenance procedures for extending the useful life of the machine were
explained and reviewed with the customer.
qThe correct operating methods were explained and reviewed with the customer.
qThe chapter related to problem solving was explained and reviewed with the customer.
qThe booklet with additional information, on how to use the weighing scale was
explained and reviewed with the customer.

TOWING
This includes the range of towing vehicles, the mixing wagon can be coupled to. The tractor must be
adequately heavy, in order to guarantee sufficient drag and completely safe stopping, even when
completely loaded, and certify that the weight is not lower that prescribed by the applicable lawas on
towingweight.
Inordertoutilizethemachinesafety,itisnecessarytooperateitonlybyasingleoperator.
TheVMN4.0/6.0/8.0machinesaremixerswagonsusedforlivestockfeeding.
Theyareusedformixingandre-shreddingseveraltypesofsilagematerialforthepurposeofpreparing
adequatefoodstuffforfeedingcattle.
1-Theessenceofthemachineismadeupbythemixerbin:
*Themixerbin(canbeintegratedwiththefollowingassemblies):
2-Millingarm(inthemillingmachine):Themillingarmismadeupbytwoarmswiththemillingbinandit
isusedforloadingthebinwithstoredmaterialsinthesilo-trench.
3- Weighing system: The weighing system allows a quantity of material inserted in the bin for the
purposeofpreparingthescheduledfeedmixture.
-Carefullyreadtheentirecontentsofthismanualbeforehitchingthemachine(wagon)tothetractor.
- Verify if the shielding parts are mounted correctly and in the proper locations and if the described
labelsareperfectlylegible,beforestartingtooperatethemachine.
- Learn how to use the mixer controls and become familiar with them, testing each lever and verifying
therespectiveoperatingmodesasindicatedinthemanual.
- This machine has been designed and manufactured for mixing, re-shredding, and spreading forage
(animalfeed).
-Themachinemustbeoperated,forsaleoperation,byonlyasingleoperator,whoiscompetent,andof
legalage,andwhoisseatedintheproperdriver`sseatofthetractor.
-Theloadingofthesilagematerial inthe mixerbin mustbe doneby adequateequipment sothat there
isasafebufferdistancefromtheoperatortothemachine(threadblades,silobucketetc).

Machine Identification
IMPORTANT:
- The machine, without brakes, can only circulate inside the facilities of the customer/
companyandatamaximumspeedof5km/hr.
- The maximum noise ratings are as follow: with the milling machine 78 dB (A) / without the
milling machine 76 dB (A), below the levels as defined in NR15 for maximum noise limit for
continualorintermittentoperation.

- Before using the machine, the operator must verify if there are no people behind it and/or around the
machine(workingarea),asitisnecessarytostopthemachineincasesofdangerordamages.
- In cases of damages, the operator must immediately disconnect it from the power take-off, remove
thekey fromtheignition, getdown fromthe tractorto verifytheextendofthe problemand performany
eventual interventions on the machine, always after turning off the motor, removing the key from the
ignition and disassembling the driveshaft axle. In case, there are damages in the shielding covers of
thedriveshaft,theoperatormustreplacethemimmediately.
- The operator must not operate the machine in case he is not feeling well, sick, tired, drunk, or after
usingstrongmedicationsofillicitdrugs.
- The operator must check if the ingredients he intends to use for mixing does not contain any foreign
bodies (rocks, pieces of iron etc) which can cause damage to people, the machine, and consequently
theanimalsthatwillbefed.
- The machine must be operating inside the facilities of the customer/ company, on flat and solid
surfaces,withenoughspaceforworkinginsafeandgoodvisibilityconditions.
- The mixer wagon is normally operated during the day; exceptionally, it can be operated at nightime,
whileusingthelightsfromthetractorandfromthecustomer/companylightinginstallation.
-Theoperator,duringtheloadingandmixingphasesofthemachine,hemustwear(incasethetractor
does not have a closed cabin and without respiratory filter protection) a breathing filtered mask (dust-
protectivemask)toprotectagainstanyeventualdustparticlesfromthefeedingredients.
-Clean themachine, removeanyeventual driedscraps orother products,after notbeingoperated for
afewdays,inordertoeliminatetheacidichumidity.
Its is PROHIBITED to operate the machine for transporting people, animals, and/ or other
inappropriateobjects.
Its is PROHIBITED to use the machine for lifting. The internal verification of the mixing bin must be
doneusingarearprotectivegrate(fig.1).Anytypeofothersolutionisprohibited!
ItisPROHIBITEDforanybody,whilemanuallyloadingthemachinetoparkinthebarnaboveit.
ItisPROHIBITEDtoenterthemixerbinwhenthewagonishitchedtothetractorornot.
ItisPROHIBITEDtoparkoversilagematerial.
It is PROHIBITED to damage, change, or remove the shielding parts and the safety warning on the
machine.
It is PROHIBITED to perform any operations or maintenance or repairs on the machine when the
tractormotorisonandthedriveshaftiscoupled.
ItisPROHIBITEDtomodifyanypartofthemachineentirelyorpartially.
It is PROHIBITED to install any after-market replacement parts (See the GENERAL WARRANTY
CONDITIONSattheendofthismanual.

Spare Parts
INSTRUCTIONS:
Inordertofacilitatethesearchandacceleratetheshipmentofspareparts,alwaysinformthefollowing:
- Model (1) and Serial Number (2) of the machine. This data is found on the identification plate of the
machine, placed on the right side of the wagon. If you do not inform the serial number of the machine,
yoursparepartorderwillnotbeprocessed.
-Loadcapacityofthemachineinm³.
-Partcodeanddescription(seethepartcatalog).
-Numberofparts.
- Exact address of the requestor, company name, CNPJ/MF (company registration number), and the
eventualcontactpersonwhowillreceivethemerchandise.
- Shipping method (in case this is not specified, Nogueira reserves the right to decide on their own
criterionregardingtheshipmentmethodandthemostconvenientshippingcompany).
- Except for a different agreement, the merchandise will only be shipped after pre-payment or
guaranteedreimbursement.

From the tractor operating controls, the operator can access all the operating controls and adjust the
componentsofthemachine.
Themachine(wagon)mustbeoperatedbyonly01(one)operator.
Thehoses(fig.1)mustbehookeduptothetractorhydrauliccontrols,thusallthenecessarycontrolsfor
thewagonwithoutthemillingmachinearedirectlyconnectedtothetractorcontrols.

From the tractor operating controls, the operator can access all
the operating controls and adjust the components of the
machine.
The machine (wagon) must be operated by only 01 (one)
operator.
While operating, the control levers must remain in the cabin, in
theappropriatecontrolsupport(fig.3).
When disconnecting the wagon from the tractor, the control
hosesmustbereinstalledtothewagoncontrols(fig.4).
