SICHERHEITSHINWEISE
• Gerät nur anschließen, wenn die elektrischen
Daten von Gerät und Stromversorgung überein-
stimmen. Die Gerätedaten befinden sich auf dem
Typenschild am Gerät, auf der Verpackung oder in
dieser Anleitung.
• Bei defektem Gehäuse darf das Gerät nicht
betrieben werden.
• Bei defekter elektrischer Leitung darf das Gerät
nicht betrieben werden.
• Gerät nicht an der elektrischen Leitung tragen
oder ziehen.
• Leitungen geschützt vor Beschädigungen verlegen
und darauf achten, dass niemand darüber fallen
kann.
• Gehäuse des Gerätes oder zugehöriger Teile nur
öffnen, wenn in dieser Anleitung ausdrücklich

PRODUKTBESCHREIBUNG
Bestimmungsgemäße Verwendung
Das in dieser Anleitung beschriebene Produkt
ausschließlich wie folgt verwenden:
• Als thermostatgesteuerter Aquarium Heizer.
• Betrieb unter Einhaltung der technischen Daten.
Für das Gerät gelten folgende Einschränkungen:
• Nur in Räumen und für private aquaristische
Zwecke verwenden.
• Betrieb nur mit Wasser bei einer Wassertempera-
tur von +4 °C … +35 °C.
AUFSTELLEN UND ANSCHLIEßEN
HINWEIS
• Gerät erst anschließen, wenn es ins Wasser
getaucht ist.
• Das Gerät kann vollständig eingetaucht werden.
• Gerät mindestens bis zur Markierung für die
Mindesttauchtiefe in das Wasser tauchen
HINWEIS
Die gewünschte Wassertemperatur ist nur dann
erzielbar, wenn die Heizleistung zur Wassermenge im
Aquarium passt ( → Technische Daten) und in einer
Zone mit gutem Wasserumlauf platziert ist.
So gehen Sie vor:
 B, C, D
• Temperaturregler auf gewünschten Temperatur-
wert drehen.
• Mitgelieferte Saugnäpfe in Halterung hineindre-
hen.
– Auf die Ausrichtung der Lasche (nach oben
oder zur Seite) achten.
• Halterung auf Gerät klemmen.
• Gerät mit Heizelement zum Aquariumboden
zeigend im gefüllten Aquarium an einer sauberen,
glatten Oberfläche in Zone mit gutem Wasserum-
lauf platzieren.

INBETRIEBNAHME
VORSICHT
Verletzungsgefahr durch heiße Oberfläche!
Körperteile können verbrannt werden oder ein
Brand kann entstehen.
• Vor allen Arbeiten Heizer vom Netz trennen und
abkühlen lassen.
HINWEIS
Für die Verwendung in einem hierfür zugelassenen
Filter gilt:
Brandgefahr! Durch die große Hitzeentwicklung der
Oberfläche werden Heizer und Filter zerstört.
• Heizer erst einschalten, wenn der Filter vollstän-
dig mit Wasser gefüllt ist, eingeschaltet ist und
das Wasser kontinuierlich zirkuliert.
HINWEIS
Für die Verwendung in einem Aquarium:
• Heizer erst einschalten, wenn er mindestens bis
zur Markierung für die Mindesttauchtiefe in das
Wasser getaucht ist.
HINWEIS
• Erst den Heizer ausschalten und abkühlen lassen,
dann aus dem Wasser nehmen.
• Heizer nach Entnahme aus dem Wasser nicht
unbeaufsichtigt liegen lassen.
• Circa 30 Minuten mit dem Einschalten warten,
damit der Thermostat sich an die Temperatur des
Wassers anpassen kann.
• Netzanschlussleitung so verlegen, dass sich eine
Tropfschlaufe bildet!
• Einschalten: Gerät mit dem Netz verbinden. Das
Gerät schaltet sich sofort ein.
• Ausschalten: Gerät vom Netz trennen.

Temperaturwerte prüfen
HINWEIS
Der Heizer schaltet sich selbständig ein und aus, um
die eingestellte Temperatur zu halten.
Ein Licht im Glaskolben zeigt an, dass der Heizer in
Funktion ist.
Licht und Heizer sind ausgeschaltet, wenn die
eingestellte Temperatur erreicht ist.
So gehen Sie vor:
• Gerät etwa einen Tag in Betrieb lassen und dann
die Wassertemperatur mit einem Präzisionsther-
mometer prüfen.
• Gemessene Temperatur ist niedriger als einge-
stellt:
Wasserfluss um Gerät prüfen und Gerät
ggf. an Stelle mit weniger Behinderung des Was-
serumlaufs (z.B. durch Pflanzen) versetzen.
• Temperatur nach einiger Zeit erneut messen.
• Temperaturunterschied ist noch zu groß: Gerät
kalibrieren
. (-> Gerät kalibrieren)
• Gemessene Temperatur ist höher als eingestellt:
Gerät kalibrieren. (-> Gerät kalibrieren)
Gerät kalibrieren
• Kalibrierungsbereich: Das Gerät kann um 3°C ins
Plus und um 3 °C ins Minus nachkalibriert werden.
• Der Kalibrierungsregler ragt aus dem andersfarbi-
gen Temperaturregler heraus. Im Plus- bzw. Mi-
nusbereich sind jeweils 3 Positionen fixiert. Jede
Position entspricht etwa 1 Grad Celsius.
HINWEIS
Nicht versuchen, den Kalibrierungsbereich zu
überschreiten.
So gehen Sie vor:

• Zum Kalibrieren Schraubendreher verwenden
oder mitgeliefertes Werkzeug aus Halterung bre-
chen.
• Gemessene Temperatur ist zu hoch: Drehregler
auf eingestelltem Wert halten und Kalibrierregler
in Richtung – (Minus) drehen.
• Gemessene Temperatur ist zu niedrig: Drehregler
auf eingestelltem Wert halten und Kalibrierregler
in Richtung + (Plus) drehen.

PRODUCT DESCRIPTION
Intended use
Only use the product described in this manual as
follows:
• As a thermostat controlled aquarium heater.
• Operate in accordance with instructions.
The following restrictions apply to the unit:
• Only use indoors and for aquaristic purposes in
the home (not for commercial use).
• Only operate with water at a water temperature
of +4 °C to +35 °C.
INSTALLATION AND CONNECTION
NOTE
• Do not switch the unit on until it is immersed in
water.
• The unit can be completely immersed in water.
• Ensure that the unit is immersed in water at least
up to the minimum immersion depth marking.
NOTE
The desired water temperature can only be achieved
if the heating capacity of the heater is suitable for the
volume of water in the aquarium ( → Technical data)
and is positioned in an area with good water circula-
tion.
How to proceed:
 B, C, D
• Turn the temperature controller to the desired
temperature value.
• Insert the supplied suction cups into the holder by
twisting.
– Pay attention to the alignment of the tab (it
should point upwards or to the side).
• Clamp the holder to the unit.
• Position the unit with the heating element
pointing towards the floor of the filled aquarium
on a clean, smooth surface in an area with good
water circulation.

COMMISSIONING/START-UP
CAUTION
Risk of injury from hot surface!
Risk of burning parts of the body or risk of fire.
• Disconnect the heater from the mains and allow it
to cool down before commencing any work.
NOTE
For the use of the heater in a filter approved for this
purpose:
Danger of fire! The heater and filter can be de-
stroyed by the heat generated at the surface.
• Do not switch the heater on until the filter is
completely filled with water, switched on and the
water is continuously circulated.
NOTE
For use in an aquarium:
• Before switching on, ensure that the heater is
immersed in water at least up to the marking for
the minimum immersion depth.
NOTE
• Switch off the heater and allow it to cool down
before removing it from the water.
• Do not leave the heater unattended after remov-
ing it from the water.
• Wait approx. 30 minutes before switching on so
that the thermostat can adjust to the tempera-
ture of the water.
• Route the power connection cable such that it
forms a drip loop!
• Switching on: Connect the unit to the mains. The
unit switches on immediately.
• Switching off: Disconnect the unit from the
mains.

Checking the temperature values
NOTE
The heater switches on and off automatically in order
to maintain the set temperature.
A light in the glass bulb indicates that the heater is
functioning.
The light and heater are switched off when the set
temperature is reached.
How to proceed:
• When the unit has been operating for about one
day, check the water temperature with a preci-
sion thermometer.
• The measured temperature is lower than the set
temperature:
Check the water flow around the
unit and, if necessary, move the unit to a different
position where the water circulation is not ob-
structed by e.g. plants
• Measure the temperature again after some time.
• The temperature difference is still too great:
Calibrate the unit

• The measured temperature is higher than the set
temperature:
Calibrate the unit. (-> Calibrating
the unit)
Calibrating the unit
• Calibration range: It is possible to calibrate the
unit by plus 3°C and minus 3 °C.
• The calibration controller protrudes out of the
different-coloured temperature controller. There
are 3 fixed positions in the plus and minus range.
Each position corresponds to approx. 1 degree
centigrade.
NOTE
Do not attempt to go outside the calibration range.
How to proceed:
 E
• Use a screwdriver for the calibration or break the
supplied tool out of the holder.
• Measured temperature is too high: Keep the
temperature controller at the set value and move
the calibration controller in the direction of - (mi-
nus).
• Measured temperature is too low: Keep the
temperature controller at the set value and move
the calibration controller in the direction of +
(plus).
