KEEP THESE INSTRUCTIONS IN A
SAFE PLACE.
SAFETY INFORMATION This unit can
be used by children aged 8 and above
and by persons with reduced physical,
sensory or mental capabilities or lack of
experience and knowledge if they are
supervised or have been instructed on
how to use the unit in a safe way and
they understand the hazards involved.
Do not allow children to play with the
unit. Only allow children to carry out
cleaning and user maintenance under
supervision. Disconnect the power plug
before carrying out any work on the
unit.
WARNING- To guard against injury, basic safety precauons
should be observed, including the following:
•DANGER - To avoid possible electric shock, special care
should be taken since water is employed in the use of
aquarium equipment. For each of the following situations,
do not attempt repairs by yourself; return the appliance
to an authorized service facility for service or discard the
appliance
•Switch off all units in the aquarium and disconnect the

power plugs of all units before reaching into the water or
moving/cleaning the unit.
•CAUTION! This unit has been evaluated for use with water
only.
•DANGER! Never operate the unit if either the electrical
cables or the housing are defective!
• Do not carry or pull the unit by its electrical cable.
• If an extension cord is necessary, a cord with a proper rat-
ing should be used. A cord rated for less amperes or watts
than the appliance rating may overheat. Care should be
taken to arrange the cord so that it will not be tripped over
or pulled.
• Route cables/hoses such that they are protected from
damage and do not present a tripping hazard.
• Only open the unit housing or its attendant components,
when this is explicitly required in the operating instructions.
•DANGER! Only carry out work on the unit that is described
in this manual. If problems cannot be overcome, please
contact an authorised customer service point or, when in
doubt, the manufacturer.
• Only use original spare parts and accessories for the unit.
•DANGER! Never carry out technical modifications to the
unit. Don’t cut the cord or remove the plug from the cord.
• Power connection cables cannot be replaced. If a cable is
damaged, dispose of the respective unit or components.
• If the appliance shows any sign of abnormal water leakage,
immediately unplug it from the power source. (Immersible
equipment only)
• Carefully examine the appliance after installation. It should
not be plugged in if there is water on parts not intended to
be wet.
• Do not operate any appliance if it has a damaged cord
or plug, or if it is malfunctioning or has been dropped or
damaged in any manner.
• Close supervision is necessary when any appliance is used
by or near children.

• To avoid injury, do not contact moving parts or hot parts
such as heaters, reflectors, lamp bulbs, and the like.
• Always unplug an appliance from an outlet when not
in use, before putting on or taking off parts, and before
cleaning. Never yank cord to pull plug from outlet. Grasp
the plug and pull to disconnect.
• Do not use an appliance for other than intended use.
The use of attachments not recommended or sold by the
appliance manufacturer may cause an unsafe condition.
• Do not install or store the appliance where it will be ex-
posed to the weather or to temperatures below freezing.
• Make sure an appliance mounted on a tank is securely
installed before operating it.
Electrical connecon
• Read and observe all the important notices on the appli-
ance.
• Only connect the unit if the electrical data of the unit and
the power supply coincide. The unit data is to be found on
the unit type plate, on the packaging or in this manual.
• Protect the plug connections from moisture.
• Only plug the unit into a correctly fitted socket.
• Do have all electrical outlets installed and serviced by a
licensed electrician.
•DANGER! Do disconnect the pump from the electrical
outlet at the first sign of any problem.

SAVE THESE
INSTRUCTIONS!
•To avoid the possibility of the appliance plug or
receptacle getting wet, position aquarium stand
and tank to one side of a wall-mounted receptacle
to prevent water from dripping onto the receptacle
or plug. A “drip loop,” shown in the figure below,
should be arranged by the user for each cord con-
necting an aquarium appliance to a receptacle. The
“drip loop” is that part of the cord below the level of
the receptacle, or the connector if an extension cord
is used, to prevent water traveling along the cord
and coming in contact with the receptacle.

PRODUCT DESCRIPTION
HeatUp 25/50/100/150/200/300, referred to in the
following as “unit”, may only be used as specied in
the following:
• As a thermostat controlled aquarium heater.
• Operaon under observance of the technical data.
The following restricons apply to the unit:
• Only use indoors and for aquarisc purposes in the
home (not for commercial use).
• Only operate with water at a water temperature of
+40 °F to + 95 °F.
INSTALLATION AND CONNECTION
NOTE
• Do not switch the unit on unl it is immersed in
water.
• The unit can be completely immersed in water.
• Ensure that the unit is immersed in water at least
up to the minimum immersion depth marking.
NOTE
The desired water temperature can only be achieved
if the heang capacity of the heater is suitable for
the volume of water in the aquarium (→ Technical
data) and is posioned in an area with good water
circulaon.

• Turn the temperature controller to the desired
temperature value.
• Insert the supplied sucon cups into the holder by
twisng.
– Pay aenon to the alignment of the tab
(it should point upwards or to the side).
• Clamp the holder to the unit.

• Posion the unit with the heang element
poinng towards the oor of the aquarium on a
clean, smooth surface in an area with good water
circulaon.
COMMISSIONING/START-UP
C AUTION
Risk of injury from hot surface!
Risk of burning parts of the body or risk of re
• Disconnect the heater from the mains and allow it to
cool down before commencing any work.
!
NOTE
For the use of the heater in a lter approved for
this purpose:
Danger of re! The heater and lter can be
destroyed by the heat generated at the surface
• Do not switch the heater on unl the lter is
completely lled with water, switched on and
the water is connuously circulated.
NOTE
For use in an aquarium:
• Before switching on, ensure that the heater is
immersed in water at least up to the marking for
the minimum immersion depth.
NOTE
• Switch o the heater and allow it to cool down
before removing it from the water.
• Do not leave the heater unaended aer
removing it from the water.
• Wait approx. 30 minutes before switching on so
that the thermostat can adjust to the temperature
of the water.

Checking the temperature values
NOTE
• The heater switches on and o automacally in
order to maintain the set temperature.
• A light in the glass bulb indicates that the heater
is funconing.
• The light and heater are switched o when the
set temperature is reached.
How to proceed:
• When the unit has been operang for about one
day, check the water temperature with a precision
thermometer.
• The measured temperature is lower than the set
temperature: Check the water ow around the
unit and, if necessary, move the unit to a dierent
posion where the water circulaon is not
obstructed by e.g. plants
• Measure the temperature again aer some me.
• The temperature dierence is sll too great:
Calibrate the unit. (-> Calibrang the unit)
• The measured temperature is higher than the set
temperature: Calibrate the unit. (-> Calibrang the
unit)
• Route the power connecon cable such that it
forms a drip loop!
• Switching on: Connect the unit to the mains. The
unit switches on immediately.
• Switching o: Disconnect the unit from the mains.
Calibrang the unit
• Calibraon range: It is possible to calibrate the
unit by plus 6 °F and minus 6 °F.
• The calibraon controller protrudes out of the

NOTE
Do not aempt to go outside the calibraon range.
How to proceed:

• Use a screwdriver for the calibraon or break the
supplied tool out of the holder.
• Measured temperature is too high: Keep the
temperature controller at the set value and move
the calibraon controller in the direcon of -
(minus).
• Measured temperature is too low: Keep the
temperature controller at the set value and move
the calibraon controller in the direcon of + (plus).

If necessary, clean the unit with clear water using a
so sponge or cloth.

NOTE
Do not dispose of this unit with domesc waste!
For disposal purposes, please use the return system
provided. Render the unit unusable beforehand by
cung the cables.
Limited Warranty
This product is covered by a three-year limited warranty
by OASE. The limited warranty period commences on the
original purchase date and covers material and producon
defects, or failure of the product to operate as specied by
OASE during the duraon of the limited warranty period.
This limited warranty does not cover failure or problems
relang to:
− Improper or incorrect installaon of the product (refer to
these instrucons of use regarding proper installaon);
− Modicaon of the product in any way including
aempts to repair the product by someone other than an
OASE authorized repair technician;
− Normal wear and tear (including, but not limited to, wear
and tear related to pump impellers, lter mats and lter
media in lters, bulbs in lights and UV water treatment
basins);
− Failure to observe or follow safety, care and maintenance
instrucons as outlined in these instrucons for use or as

set forth by OASE from me to me;
− Defects or damage resulng from improper treatment;
− Defects or damage resulng from product misuse
(including, but not limited to, non-observance of the
instrucons for use).
OASE’s sole liability under this limited warranty shall be
to replace or repair the product covered by this limited
warranty. OASE shall not be subject to liability for any
consequenal damage to any other part of the water
garden, pond, water feature system, landscape, aquarium,
paludarium, structure or the contents of any structure
where the product is located or used, construcon or part
of the construcon where the product is located or used,
including no liability for damage or harm to sh, animals or
water plants in, around or surrounding the water garden,
pond, water feature system, aquarium, aquac systems, or
paludarium.
THE EXPRESS WARRANTIES SET FORTH HEREIN ARE THE
ONLY WARRANTIES WITH RESPECT TO THE PRODUCTS,
AND THE REMEDIES SET FORTH HEREIN ARE THE
EXCLUSIVE REMEDIES IN THE EVENT OF A BREACH OF SUCH
WARRANTIES. OASE EXPRESSLY DISCLAIMS ANY IMPLIED
WARRANTY OF MERCHANTABILITY OR FITNESS FOR A
PARTICULAR PURPOSE. OASE SHALL NOT BE SUBJECT TO
LIABILITY UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES FOR INCIDENTAL
OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES OF ANY NATURE, FOR ANY
BREACH OF SUCH WARRANTIES OR OTHERWISE.
Some states do not allow the exclusion or limitaon of

Should your OASE product be defecve or fail under the
terms of this limited warranty, you should return the product
to your OASE dealer, along with your original receipt of

CONSIGNES DE SECURITE Dans le cas
où cet appareil serait utilisé par des
mineurs de moins de 8 ans ainsi que par
des personnes souffrant d’un handicap
mental ou plus généralement par des
personnes manquant d’expérience, un
adulte averti devra être présent, qui
renseignera le mineur ou la personne
fragilisée concernée sur le bon emploi
de ce matériel. Les enfants ne doivent
pas jouer avec cet appareil. Ne pas
laisser un enfant sans surveillance pour
le nettoyage ou l’entretien. Débranchez
la prise d’alimentaon avant d’eectuer
tout travail sur l’appareil.

atteindre dans l’eau ou de déplacer / nettoyer l’unité.
• MISE EN GARDE! Cette unité a été évaluée pour une utilisa-
tion avec de l’eau seulement.
• DANGER! Ne faites jamais fonctionner l’appareil si les
câbles électriques ou le boîtier sont défectueux!
• Ne transportez pas et ne tirez pas l’unité par son câble
électrique.
• Si une rallonge est nécessaire, utilisez un cordon d’alimen-
tation approprié. Une corde notée pour moins d’ampères
ou de watts que l’estimation de l’appareil peut surchauffer.
Faites attention de ne pas trébucher ou tirer sur le cordon.
• Acheminez les câbles / tuyaux de manière à ce qu’ils ne
soient pas endommagés et ne présentent aucun risque de
chute.
• N’ouvrez le boîtier de l’appareil ou ses composants auxilia-
ires que lorsque cela est explicitement requis dans le mode
d’emploi.
• DANGER! N’effectuez que des travaux sur l’unité décrite
dans ce manuel. Si les problèmes ne peuvent être résolus,
veuillez contacter un point de service client agréé ou, en
cas de doute, le fabricant.
• N’utilisez que des pièces de rechange d’origine et des

• Examiner soigneusement l’appareil après l’installation. Il
ne doit pas être branché s’il y a de l’eau sur des pièces qui
ne sont pas destinées à être mouillées.
• N’utilisez aucun appareil si le cordon ou la fiche sont
endommagés ou si le système fonctionne mal ou a été
échappé ou endommagé de quelque manière que ce soit.
• Une surveillance étroite est nécessaire lorsqu’un appareil
est utilisé par ou près des enfants.
• Pour éviter les blessures, ne touchez pas les pièces
mobiles ou les pièces chaudes telles que les appareils de
chauffage, les réflecteurs, les ampoules et autres.
• Débranchez toujours l’appareil de la prise de courant
lorsqu’il n’est pas utilisé, avant de mettre ou de retirer
des pièces et avant de le nettoyer. Ne jamais tirer sur le
cordon pour tirer la fiche de la prise. Saisissez la prise et
tirez pour vous déconnecter.
• N’utilisez pas un appareil à d’autres fins que celles
prévues. L’utilisation d’accessoires non recommandés ou

Connexion électrique

• Ne connectez l’appareil que si les données électriques de
l’appareil et de l’alimentation coïncident. Les données de
l’unité se trouvent sur la plaque signalétique de l’unité,
sur l’emballage ou dans ce manuel.

CONSERVEZ CES
INSTRUCTIONS
• Protégez les connexions de l’humidité.
• Branchez l’appareil uniquement dans une prise correcte-
ment installée.
• Assurez-vous que toutes les prises électriques sont
installées et entretenues par un électricien agréé.
• DANGER! Débranchez la pompe de la prise électrique au
premier signe d’un problème.
• Pour éviter que la fiche ou la prise de l’appareil ne soit
mouillée, placez le support et le réservoir d’aquarium
d’un côté d’une prise murale pour éviter que de l’eau ne
goutte sur le réceptacle ou la prise. Une «boucle d’égout-
tement», illustrée sur la figure ci-dessous, doit être
disposée par l’utilisateur pour chaque cordon reliant un
appareil d’aquarium à un réceptacle. La “boucle d’égout-
tement” est la partie du cordon située au-dessous du
niveau du réceptacle, ou le connecteur si une rallonge
est utilisée, pour empêcher l’eau de circuler le long du
cordon et d’entrer en contact avec le réceptacle.

DESCRIPTION DU PRODUIT
HeatUp 25/50/100/150/200/300, appelé par la suite
«appareil», doit être ulisé exclusivement comme suit :
• Comme chauage d’aquarium commandé par
thermostat.
• Exploitaon dans le respect des données techniques.
Les restricons suivantes sont valables pour l’appareil:
•A utiliser uniquement à l’intérieur et à des fins
d’aquariophilie privée.
• A uliser uniquement avec de l’eau à une
température entre +4 °C et +35 °C.
MISE EN PLACE ET RACCORDEMENT
REMAQUE
• Brancher l’appareil uniquement lorsqu’il est
immergé.
• L’appareil peut être enèrement immergé.
• Immerger le chauage au moins jusqu’au mar-
quage de profondeur d’immersion minimale.
REMAQUE

REMAQUE
La température d’eau souhaitée peut seulement
être aeinte lorsque la puissance de chauage est
adaptée à la quanté d’eau de l’aquarium (→ don-
nées techniques) et qu’il est placé dans une zone
présentant une bonne circulaon d’eau.
B, C, D
• Tourner le régulateur de température sur la
température souhaitée.
• Introduire les ventouses fournies dans le disposif
de xaon.
– Veiller à l’alignement de la pae (vers le haut ou
sur le côté).
• Fixer le disposif de xaon sur l’appareil.
• Placer l’appareil avec l’élément de chauage dirigé
vers le sol de l’aquarium sur une surface lisse et
propre dans une zone à bonne circulaon d’eau.
MISE EN SERVICE
ATTENTION
Risque de blessures découlant d’une surface brûlante !
Des pares du corps peuvent subir des brû lures ou
un foyer d’incendie peut se déclarer.
• Avant tous travaux, débrancher le chauage du
secteur et le laisser refroidir.

REMAQUE
Applicable pour l’ulisaon à l’intérieur d’un ltre
adapté à cet eet :
Risque d’incendie ! Un dégagement important de
chaleur en surface entraîne une destrucon du
chauage et du ltre.
• Mere uniquement le chauage en marche lor-
sque le ltre est complètement rempli d’eau et
en circuit, et que l’eau circule connuellement.

REMAQUE
Pour une ulisaon en aquarium :
• Mere uniquement le chauage en marche
lorsqu’il est immergé jusqu’au marquage de
profondeur d’immersion minimale.
REMAQUE
• Éteindre et laisser refroidir le chauage avant
de le sorr de l’eau.
• Ne pas laisser le chauage sans surveillance
après l’avoir sor de l’eau.
• Aendre environ 30 minutes avant de mere le
chauage en marche an que le thermostat puisse
s’adapter à la température de l’eau.
• Poser le câble de raccordement au secteur de sorte
à former un col de cygne !
• Allumer : Brancher l’appareil sur la tension secteur.
L’appareil se met immédiatement en marche.
• Éteindre : Débrancher l’appareil de la tension secteur.
Contrôler les valeurs de température
REMAQUE
• Le chauage se met en marche et s’arrête auto
maquement an de maintenir la température
réglée
•Une lumière dans l’enveloppe de verre indique
que le chauage est en marche.
• La lumière et le chauage sont éteints lorsque
la température réglée est aeinte.
Voici comment procéder :
• Laisser l’appareil en marche environ une journée,
puis contrôler la température de l’eau avec un
thermomètre de précision.

Calibrer l’appareil
• Plage de calibrage : L’appareil peut être reca-libré
dans une plage comprise entre 3°C dans le Plus et
3°C dans le Moins.
• Le régulateur de calibrage sort du régulateur de
température de couleur diérente. 3 posions
sont dénies dans la plage du Plus voire du Moins.
Chaque posion équivaut environ à 1° C.
• La température mesurée est inférieure à la
température réglée : Contrôler la circulaon de l’eau
autour de l’appareil et, le cas échéant, le placer à un
endroit comportant moins d’obstacles (par exemple
formés par des plantes) à la circulaon de l’eau.
• Mesurer à nouveau la température après un certain
temps.
• La diérence de température est encore trop élevée
: Calibrer l’appareil. (-> Calibrer l’ap-pareil)
• La température mesurée est supérieure à la
température réglée : Calibrer l’appareil. (-> Calibrer
l’appareil)
REMAQUE
Ne pas tenter de dépasser la plage de calibrage.
Voici comment procéder :

• Pour le calibrage, uliser un tournevis ou rerer
de son support l’oul compris avec l’appareil.
•La température mesurée est trop élevée :
Maintenir le bouton tournant sur la valeur réglée
et tourner le régulateur de calibrage dans le sens -
(Moins).
•La température mesurée est trop basse : Maintenir
le bouton tournant sur la valeur réglée et tourner
le régulateur de calibrage dans le sens + (Plus).

ne sont pas couverts par la garane.

RECYCLAGE
REMAQUE
Il est interdit de mere cet appareil au rebut en
l’évacuant vers la geson des ordures ména gères.
Rendre l’appareil inulisable en coupant le câble et
le mere au rebut en ulisant le sys-tème de retour
prévu à cet eet.
