1.1 Lieferung
Die hier beschriebenen OASE - Filtertypen
werden in der Standardausführung auf einer
Palette mit einer zweckmäßigen Verpackung
ausgeliefert, in der die Filteranlage auch bis zur
Montage verbleiben sollte.
Prüfen Sie bei Anlieferung die Anlage auf
Transportschäden! Benachrichtigen Sie sofort die
Transportgesellschaft, falls deutliche Schäden
festgestellt werden.
1.1 Delivery
OASE - quartz sand filter systems are delivered in
a special factory-fitted packaging, in which they
should remain, if possible, until they are going to
be installed. Please check that the consignment is
complete and intact. Get the carrier to confirm any
faults discovered on the original consignment note
and inform us about these immediately!
1.2 Verwendungszweck
OASE - Quarzsandfilter sind geeignet für alle
Wasserarten im Bereich Springbrunnen – und
Schwimmbeckenanlagen. Zulässig ist auch
Wasser mit erhöhtem Salz – und Mineralgehalt.
Bei hartem Wasser wird ein häufiger
Sandwechsel erforderlich.
Achtung: Hinweis für den Betrieb von
Springbrunnenanlagen :
Eine einwandfreie Funktion einer Brunnenanlage
ist stark abhängig von der Wasserqualität. Hierfür
ist der Betreiber verantwortlich!
Hier die max. zulässigen Richtwerte für OASE –
Produkte:
PH-Wert: 7,2 – 7,6
Gesamtwasserhärte: 12º dH
Chloridgehalt: 120 mg/l
1.2 Application purpose
OASE – Quartz sand filters are suitable for all
types of water in the range of water display and
swimming pool systems. Also water with higher
saline content and mineral contents are possible.
In case of water with high level of hardness a
frequent change of sand will be necessary.
Note: Advice for operation of water display
systems :
As incontestable function of a Fountain/ Pump
System including all components is very much
dependent on quality of waters. For this the
operator is responsible.
The max. standard value allowed for OASE
products is:
pH-value of water : 7,2 – 7,6
total hardness of water : 12º dH
chlorite contents : 120m mg/l
1.3 Gewährleistung
OASE - Quarzsandfilter sind korrosionsbeständig
und einsetzbar bei max. Betriebsdruck bis 3,5 bar
und Temperaturen bis 45 ºC. OASE gewährt auf
dieses Produkt eine Garantie von 24 Monaten,
ausgeschlossen sind Verschleißteile.
Nichtbeachtung der Sicherheitshinweise und eine
nichtzulässige Wasserqualität können zum Verlust
jeglicher Schadensersatzansprüche führen.
1.3 Guarantee
The OASE-Filters are corrosion resistant and can
be used for maximum working temperature is 45°
Celsius, maximum working pressure is 3,5bar.
OASE grants for this product a guarantee of 24
months, wearing parts are excluded.
Failure to follow the safety guidelines may result
in danger to persons, the system and even the
environment. Failure to follow the guidelines may
result in the loss of any right to compensation!
1.4 Sicherheitshinweise
Das Personal für Montage, Inbetriebnahme und
Wartung muss eine entsprechende Qualifikation
für diese Arbeiten aufweisen! Weiterhin ist von
Betreiber sicherzustellen, dass der Inhalt der
Betriebsanleitung voll verstanden wird.
Bei Nichtbeachtung der Sicherheitshinweise
können die Funktionen der Anlage versagen –
1.4Safety guidelines
The personnel responsible for operating, service,
inspection and mounting must all have the
relevant qualification for this work. Shared
domains of responsibility, competence and
supervision of personnel must be organized in
detail by the operator. Should the personnel not
have the necessary knowledge, they must be

Bei der Montage sind die allgemeinen
Unfallverhütungsvorschriften zu beachten.
Grundsätzlich sind Arbeiten an der Anlage nur bei
Stillstand auszuführen! Unmittelbar nach den
Arbeiten sind alle Schutzvorrichtungen
entsprechend der Vorschrift anzubringen.
E-Anschluss: Nur durch eine konzessionierte
Fachkraft ausführen lassen. Benutzung der
Anlage für Springbrunnen und deren
Schutzbereich gemäß VDE 0100 errichten!
Hierzu weitere Hinweise in der Betriebsanleitung :

the manufacturer/supplier if requested.
Furthermore, the operator must ensure that the
entire manual is fully understood by the relevant
personnel.
Failure to follow the safety guidelines may result
in non functioning of the system - risk of danger to
persons – leakages may occur or plants may be
damaged. On assembly and installation the
general safety guidelines for preventing accidents
are to be followed.
Basically all works on the system are to be done
when unit is switched off. Immediately after works
all safety devices according to prescriptions have
to be installed.
Electric connection: only to be done by skilled
specialist. Use of system for fountains and
protection area thereof according to VDE0100
Further advise will be found in operation
instruction of filterpump.
1.5 Montage
Die Filteranlage ist so zu montieren, dass
Wartungsarbeiten möglich sind. Die Aufstellung
soll in einem trockenen belüftbaren Raum
erfolgen. Die Anschlussleitungen sind
ausreichend zu dimensionieren! Er vorgegebene
Standort soll fest und eben sein. Montieren Sie
Druckmanometer und Entlüftungsventil an die
Acryl – Kuppel
1.5 Mounting
The filter unit has to be mounted, so that
maintenance works are possible. placed in a dry
Install the filter in a ventilated and dry room to
avoid damages. The connections have to be
dimensioned in adequate size.
The place selected has to be solid and plain.
Please install pressure gauge and ventilation
valve at acrylic dome.
1.6 Inbetriebnahme
Vor dem Einfüllung der Filterstoffe überprüfen Sie
alle inneren Bauteile auf festen Sitz und korrekter
Position. Schwenken Sie das obere Rohrsystem
zur Seite, damit die Kopföffnung frei wird.
Schützen Sie das Gewinde der Verschlusskappe
mittels Klebeband vor Verschmutzungen.
Füllen Sie zunächst den Filter zu 1/3 mit Wasser,
danach geben Sie die vorgegebene
Quarzsandmenge ein. Klebeband am Gewinde
entfernen – Dichtung leicht anfeuchten und
Verschlusskappe fest verschließen.
Absperrschieber der Saug – und Druckleitungen
öffnen – Entleerungsventil schließen. Bei
ungünstiger Rohrverlegung muss das
Pumpengehäuse mit Wasser gefüllt werden.
Achtung: Betriebsanleitung der Filterpumpe
beachten!
1.6 Start up
Before pouring media into the filter, look inside
and check that inner parts are in correct position
and are fixed tightly. Pivot the diffuser pipe (8) by
pushing it aside so that it is clear to the top
opening. Protect screwing of closing cap against
pollution using adhesive tape
At first, fill tank with water to 1/3. After that fill in
the specified quantity of sand. Take off the
adhesive tape from screwing – moisten the gasket
and shut off the closing cap tightly.
Open shut-off valves of suction- and pressure
pipe – close drain valve. In case of adverse pipe
laying, the pump housing has to be filled with
water.
Attention: Please consider operating instructions
of filtration pump.

Ventilhebel des 6-Wege-Ventils auf Position
RÜCKSPÜLEN stellen und die Pumpe nach 2-3
Minuten einschalten. Anschließend Vorgang auf
NACHSPÜLEN ca. 1 Minute wiederholen. Filter
an Entlüftungsschraube entlüften.
Achtung: Ventilhebel bei Umschaltung
runterdrücken und drehen! NIEMALS den
Ventilhebel bei LAUFENDER PUMPE
verstellen!
Filterbetrieb
• Vorgehweise in Kurzform – siehe
beiliegende Hinweistafel unter A.1-A.5
Rückspülen ( Reinigen des Filters )
Bei normalen Betriebsbedingungen steigt der
Arbeitsdruck des Filters auf ca. 0,4 – 0,8 bar. Der
normale Arbeitsdruck ist am Filter zu notieren.
Steigt der Arbeitsdruck des Filters um 0,5 bar
über Normal, wird eine Rückspülung und somit
Reinigung der Filters erforderlich.
• Vorgehweise in Kurzform – siehe
beiliegende Hinweistafel unter B.1-B.9
Shift valve handle of 6-way-valve to position
„Filtration“ and start the pump after 2-3 minutes.
After that repeat action “Nachspülen” for 1 minute.
Ventilate the filter at the ventilation screw.
Attention: When shifting the valve handle you
have to push it down and turn it. Never switch
valve handle while pump is running.
Filter operation
* Procedure in short version – see attached
table under A.1-A 5.
To clean ( backwash) the filter
At normal operation conditions the operation
pressure of the filter rises to 0,4 – 0,8 bar.
The normal pressure has to be noted at the filter.
In case the pressure has increased by 0,5 bar or
more above normal, it will be necessary to
backwash the filter sand.
Procedure in short form – see our table B1 – B9
1.7 Wartung
Zur äußeren Reinigung der Filteranlage nur milde
Reiniger und keine Lösungsmittel verwenden.
Vorsicht bei der transparenten Acryl – Kuppel.
Wintersicherung: Schützen Sie die Filteranlage
bei Frost durch vollständige Entleerung des
Wassers. Ventil auf RÜCKSPÜLEN stellen –
Entleerungsstopfen Pos.14 öffnen – sowie alle
weiteren Ventile, damit eine vollständige
Austrocknung von Filter und Pumpe möglich ist.
1.7 Filter care
For external cleaning of filter from dust and dirt,
wash it with a mild detergent and water. Never
wash the transparent ldome with a solvent as it
may become cloudy.
Winter care: Protect filter system by complete
draining of water against frost. Shift valve to
BACKWASH, opern drain plug. Pos. 14 – as well
as all othervalves, so that a total drying out of
pump and filter is possible.

Achtung : Bei Bestellung den Filtertyp angeben.
6 – Wege – Rückspül – Ventil
Das Filter-Steuerventil besteht aus
korrosionsbeständigem Kunststoff.
Die optimale Wasserführung im Ventil verursacht
kaum Fließgeräusche, es entstehen geringe
Reibungsverluste.
Durch Herunterdrücken und gleichzeitiges Drehen
des Ventilhebels wird das Ventil in die
gewünschte Position gebracht.
Achtung: NIEMALS die POSITON des
Ventilhebels bei LAUFENDER PUMPE
verstellen !
Attention: In case of order please mention filter
type
6 – way – backwash – valve
The multiport change valve is made of corrosion
resistant plastic.
The optimum water flow in the valve nearly does
not cause any flow noise. There are only low
friction losses.
By pressing down and turning change handle at
the same time, the valve is put into position
selected.
Caution : Never shift valve handle position
while pump is running.

Reinigungsvorgang bzw. Rückspülung des Filters
Wird eine Rückspülung erforderlich, ist wie folgt
vorzugehen:
• Pumpe abschalten – Ventilhebel
herunterdrücken und von Position FILTERN
in Position Rückspülen drehen.
• Pumpe einschalten und ausreichend
Rückspülen ( Kontrolle über Schauglas in
Kanalanschluss möglich)
• Pumpe abschalten – Nochmaliges Drücken
und Drehen des Ventilhebels in Position
NACHSPÜLEN. Pumpe kurz anlaufen lassen
und das Filtermedium klar spülen - Pumpe
Abschalten!
• Ventilhebel wieder in Position FILTERN
bringen und Pumpe einschalten.
Reinigung des 6-Wege-Ventils
• Pumpe abschalten – wenn erforderlich
Anlage gering entleeren und Kugelhähne
oder Ventile schließen.
• Die 6 (10) Deckelschrauben kpl. Lösen und
Oberteil abnehmen.
• Ventil-Innenteile reinigen und ausspülen.
Wenn erforderlich Deckeldichtung erneuern.
• Bei Zusammenbau auf Positionsmarkierung
achten! ( Nocke und Kante übereinander
liegend!)

Operate as follows
• Shut off the pump -Shift the valve handle
from position “Filtering” to “Backwash”
• Start pump and let it run until water is
clean ( about 5-10 minutes)
• Shut off the pump. Clean the lint strainer of
the pump, Shift valve handle to “Rinse”
position. Start pump and run for
approximately one minute, Shut off the
pump
• Shift valve handle back to position
“Filtration” and start the pump
Cleaning of 6-Way-Valve
• Switch off pump – if necessary drain
system a little bit and close all valves.
• Remove all 6 (10) screws of lid and
remove upper part
• Clean and wash internal parts of valve,
replace lid gasket if required.
• Before reassambly watch position
marking( cam and angle to be placed on
each other)
