In today’s fast-paced business environment you can’t afford to
waste valuable time and money managing critical document-
based information. The Océ Imagistics fx2080 multifunction
system provides the ideal solution that allows you to work faster,
smarter and easier right from your desktop. Combining copying,
printing, color scanning and fax in one network ready space-saving
device, the fx2080 gives you a better, more economical way to
streamline communications and business processes. The fx2080 is
more than a copier, printer, scanner or fax – it’s a new document
communication portal to a better office.
Ease of use
The fx2080 is one of the first desktop multifunction devices in
its class to provide a Touch Screen Operator Panel that allows
you to program “one-touch” soft keys to create customized
workflows and steer documents through corporate networks,
e-mail servers and digital communication lines. Combine e-
mail and fax communications in the same transmission, easily
search network folders from the fx2080 operator panel and
send a document directly from the folder. Complex document
distribution is now “one touch” away. Other operator friendly
features include:
• 80-page Automatic Document Feeder (ADF) with mixed-
size original detection
• Standard duplex printing
• A generous 500-sheet cassette and 50-sheet bypass that can
be upgraded to 1,050 sheets with the addition of a second
500-sheet cassette
• Easy-to-change front loading consumables and supplies
Productivity
The combination of printing; copying; high-speed walk-up
Internet and desktop faxing; and color scanning eliminates
walking from device to device to complete a document
communication task.
• Four task SimulFunction technology allows you to perform
four procedures at once – print, send or receive a fax, scan
and program other functions – without having to wait for
the previous task to be completed before you start a new job.
• Eliminate the time wasted manually locating a document
you need to send right away. Use the browse feature on the
fx2080 Operator Panel to find documents located in network
folders and attach them to an e-mail or fax.
• With the fx2080’s advanced fax and e-mail forwarding
features you can reduce costs, improve cycle times and
comply with regulatory requirements by quickly and
automatically routing, forwarding or archiving fax and
e-mail communications and attached documents.

Connectivity
The fx2080 is ready to connect to the network and deliver
a host of new ways to handle and deliver your documents.
As a network scanning platform the fx2080 enables you to
directly route documents to network folders, e-mail addresses
and/or FTP sites, without having to use additional hardware
or software. For printing, the fx2080 has standard USB and
Ethernet network connections. And using DHCP, connecting
to the network is easy
Print and copy
Engineered from an award winning design* with enhanced
document clarity, reliability and overall performance, the
fx2080 provides high-resolution document output and
seamless 20-page per minute performance. A fast first copy out
time produces documents quickly without skimping on quality.
Standard GDI and PCL network printing allows access to a
convenient print solution. High yield consumables that take
only moments to replace offer low cost of operation.
Local and network color scanning
You won’t believe how easy it is to scan documents over the
network with the fx2080. The high-resolution color scanner
will provide crystal clear images that can be retrieved by a
multitude of document management systems for archiving or
records management. Features include:

• Scan to FTP – for files too large to be sent via traditional
e-mail server
• Fax and e-mail mixed transmissions

Reliable high-speed fax
When you need an “off the network” communications device,
or when only a fax will do, you can depend on the fx2080 for
dependable walk up fax document distribution The fx2080
meets that requirement and more with these advanced features:
• Desktop faxing – transmit from the desktop, eliminates the
need to print documents for manual transmission
• Internet faxing – T.37 compliant so you can send documents
to e-mail boxes and Internet fax terminals
• Internal Address Book – store up to 300 fax numbers and
e-mail addresses
• Full LDAP directory support can search up to five LDAP
servers
