Training mode: "TRAINING" Mode is used to practice cash register transactions.
FUNCTION:
Control lock key in position X: Enter 85 CASH. Training Mode is activated.
A point appears in the display.
A receipt is printed containing the text "TRAINING".
The transactions are printed via the X/Z reports 86 and 87.
End Training Mode by changing the key position in the control lock.
ATTENTION: The Clerk with number # 16 is automated for Training.
At the Retail Backer-Version and Hospitality Version you can block the clerk with passcode
INSERTING A PAPER ROLL
Remove the cover from the printer mechanism.
Press the black lever on the transport unit to the rear.
The transport unit springs upwards.
Insert the paper roll with the coated side at the bottom.
Close the transport unit and latch in place.

Clerk system:
Prior to the operation entry the Clerk logs in via a Clerk-number. This system can be affected in the PRG mode (i.e. it can
be entirely turned off). A change of Clerk (i.e. key) is not feasible before the completion of the appropriate operation. The
system may be designed to eliminate (or to restrict) the system of keys and Cash Register shall require log-in code -
PASSWORD (not ID Code).

The Cash Register indicates on display a question for entering the PASSWORD. If the data (1 character) is entered, the
display is changed. (For example, when entering two characters ….)

After all PASSWORD characters have been entered, the Clerk will be permitted to work. If the Cash Register displays a
character “0“, PASSWORD is not correct and entering can be repeated after pressing the key [ &/($5].
Manager – System:
The Cash Register enables to program a secret entry “PASSWORD“ for manager allowing for an exclusive access to
operations in Z and PRG key positions or only to the operations in PRG position (i.e.. Z – reports, programming).
PASSWORD consists of four characters and the entry system is identical with the entry of Clerks’ PASSWORD.
Manager system:
The system enables the assignment of two manager PASSCODES. This results in access being restricted for:
1. The functions with the key in position "Z” (reports with subsequent deletion)
2. The functions with the key in position "S/PRG" (programming)
A passcode is composed of four characters and the log in process is analogue to that described above. In addition, PRG
Mode can be used to restrict the following clerk access:
¾Restriction of transactions in X mode
¾Restriction of transactions in Z mode
¾Restriction of "P / O" transactions
¾Restriction of "REFUND" transactions
¾Restriction of "VOID" transactions
¾Restriction of "NO SALE" transactions

2. SYSTEM RESET, MACHINE INITIALISATION (prior to initial installation)
System Reset:
If the Cash Register is turned on (with the 220V mains), subsequent disconnecting/connecting an internal standby lithium
battery shall cause initialisation of the Cash Register and its memories, and start of the Cash Register. (All programmed
data, sales, etc. … are deleted !!!!). The status is indicated by characters “CL” on the Cash Register display. Following
that, the entire system has to initialised in S – mode. (see Chapter Cash Register Initialisation). This system reset takes
places upon EPROM replacement, upon initial initialisation of the Cash Register or in case the Cash Register does not
respond to warm reset.
System reset, step-by-step:
¾Turn key to position OFF
¾Disconnect Cash Register from the 220 V mains Keep the key [ IHHG]
pressed and simultaneously connect the Cash Register to the 220V mains
¾Characters SYSTEM RESET
WARM START
CONTINUE

¾Release the key [ IHHG]
¾Turn the key to PRG and then go to SYSTEM RESET on the display with the
arrow key.
¾Press the [FDVK]key, the cash desk RESETs and shows the
Programme mode in the display.
¾Abort the SYSTEM RESET, go to CONTINUE with the arrow and press the
[ FDVK]key.
Warm Reset:
This cash desk start should only be used if the following key combination is unsuccessful:
|| The following key positions „REG“, „X“, „Z“, „PRG“.

A warm start can be manually performed as following:
1. According to the procedure for warm start
2. By pressing the „RESET“ BUTTON on the motherboard of the cash desk

4. S–Mode, Service Mode
Programming in S Mode (Service Mode) relates to the machine establishment dump and programming the keyboard.
Programming the establishment dump (NN=01) always triggers a full memory initialization, i.e. it is deleted and partitioned
dynamically.
INFO: If you show the Display message E16, clear at first the memory-report area with 30 key [#NS] go at the display
at the position REPORTS and press key [CASH]
Caution: The settings in the ECR, type AA, influence the basic functions of the cash register.
The function of the clerk:
0 (default): Different clerks in one receipt active, e.g. for hairdressers.
1: Overlapping clerk functions active, e. g for bakeries.
1: All operators must for section (for 06 statuses for #2) for have the status manager activate around this
operator function .

Important information: Multi - Language
1. S-Modus No.10 language change
Is the language of standard 0 = changed German in the S mode is everyone only display texts in the newly
elected language automatically.

4.2 System Building Dump (Allocation)
S Mode:  [ QV ] VALUE [ FDVK ]
End programming [ QV ]
All the values (AA – HH) are entered in succession according to the table in Chapter 4.1, whereby the [FDVK ] key
is used for scrolling purposes. After entering the last value (HH), the cash register prints a printout of the memory
allocation in HEX address format with the "Memory Allocation – Ready“ logo message off. The memory allocation is
confirmed by pressing the [ %$5 / 727$/ ] key, after which there is a pause while the cash register
dynamically arranges the memory. The process is completed after a short time. To stop the memory allocation
prematurely or discard the dynamic memory allocation, press the [ QV ] key.

If a mistake is made, press the [ FOHDU ] key
Comment: If, after entering the values, the printer issues a printout of the HEX addresses with the message: “MEMORY
ALLOCATION – ERROR!“, there is insufficient S-RAM memory available in the cash register. It is necessary
to repeat the allocation process or to adapt the entry values by selecting a lower value and repeating the
allocation process.
4.3 Programming the RAISED Keyboard
A. Basic keyboard level:

Comment: Certain keys cannot be reprogrammed for security reasons involving work with the cash register. It is not
advisable to reprogram the "CASH" or "#NS" keys because they are used when programming the cash
register. If one of the keys mentioned is reprogrammed to a different position, the programming option may
no longer be available.

5. PRG Mode, Program Mode Operation
Programming in the PRG-mode refers to programming of Cash Register features; for programming basic data (DEP,
Account Items, TAT,...), features of X, Z – Reports and others as per individual sections, see below.
General programming procedure:
Key turned to PRG mode: The cash desk display shows all programme sections.
Call up the programme section directly with the section nr., or scroll using the cursor keys in
the display. After selection activate the section with the [ 16] key.

The first entry of the programme section is shown in the display in parentheses.
The entries in parentheses can now be programmed (e.g. text, prices or status)
Activate every change with the [&$6+ ] key.

If a mistake is made in entering the value of the key, press the [ FOHDU ] key. Use the cursor keys for the position
of the cursor, printed on the reverse of the original key pad sheet.
