1. Stecken Sie die beiden Verbindungsschläuche links und rechts
auf der Geräterückseite in die entsprechenden Anschlüsse
2. Stecken Sie das Stromkabel in eine Steckdose
3. Lege Sie die VADOplex Manschetten an und achten Sie auf einen
korrekten Sitz (Bedienungsanleitung liegt den Manschetten bei).
Die Manschetten (Pads) sind Ein-Patienten-Produkte und dürfen
nicht für mehrere Patienten verwendet oder wiederaufbereitet
werden.

Sie können mit dem -Knopf zwischen 3 Grundmodi wählen:
*Achtung: Wenn auf beiden Seiten 3 Sekunden Applikationszeit eingestellt wird,
verlängert sich der Intervall zwischen den Impulsen von 20 auf 50 Sekunden!

Bestimmungsgemäßer Gebrauch
Gerät zur Verbesserung des venösen Rückflusses und des
arteriellen Zuflusses mit intermittierender, pneumatischer
Impulskompression zur Anwendung an den oberen und unteren
Extremitäten. Das VADOplex System ist so konzipiert, dass keine
Fehlanwendung möglich ist. Es kann sowohl in der Klinik von Fach-
personal als auch zu Hause vom Patienten und seinen Angehörigen
angewendet werden.

4. Verbinden Sie die transparenten Schläuche der VADOplex Man-
schetten mit den Verbindungsschläuchen des VADOplex Gerätes
5. Schalten Sie das Gerät mit dem Kippschalter vorne an und warten,
bis Sie auf dem Display folgendes sehen:
6. Drücken Sie den Start/Stop-Knopf, um die Therapie zu beginnen.
Durch Drücken des Start/Stop-Knopfes während der Therapie,
können Sie eine Pause einlegen. Nochmaliges Drücken bringt das
Gerät wieder in den aktiven Status.
Bedienfeld Indikationen
Modus 130 mmHg für 1 Sekunde ist von Werk aus der Standardmodus.
Die Modi sollten stets mit dem -Knopf gewählt werden!
Wenn Sie Ihre Einstellungen löschen möchten, schalten Sie das Gerät
mit dem Kippschalter einfach aus und wieder an.

Bei folgenden Patienten ist zwischen Nutzen und Risiko
abzuwägen:
Bei Patienten, wo sich ein erhöhter Rückstrom zum Herzen negativ
auswirken könnte, Patienten mit dekompensierter Herzinsufzienz,
akuten tiefen Beinvenenthrombosen oder Lungenembolie sowie
Thrombophlebitis oder massive Infektion der behandelten
Extremitäten. Bei Fragen, berät Sie Ihr Arzt gerne.

Das VADOplex Gerät nicht starker Hitze, Wasser oder Feuchtigkeit
aussetzen. Nicht fallen lassen oder gewaltsam öffnen. Sollte die
trotzdem vorgekommen sein, lassen Sie das Gerät von dafür autori-
siertem Servicepersonal überprüfen.
Ist das Gehäuse geöffnet oder das Gerät starker Feuchtigkeit/Nässe
ausgesetzt, besteht die Gefahr von Stromschlag.
In Anwesenheit von leicht entammbaren Gasen kann es zu explo-
sionsartigen Zwischenfällen kommen. Platzieren Sie das Gerät nicht
in der Nähe solcher Gase.
Das Gerät darf ausschließlich mit den dafür vorgesehenen
Manschetten (Pads) verwendet werden.
Die Manschetten müssen fachgerecht vom medizinischen Personal
entsorgt werden.
Anbringung von VADOplex am Krankenbett
Das Öffnen des Gerätes sowie Wartungsarbeiten dürfen nur von
technisch ausgebildetem Personal des Herstellers erfolgen.
Das VADOplex System muss alle 3000 Betriebsstunden bzw. jährlich
einmal gewartet werden. Dabei werden die Hardware und Software
des Gerätes überprüft, Verschleißteile geprüft und gewechselt bzw.
gereinigt. Diese Überprüfung erfordert eine spezielle Schulung, um
den ordnungsgemäße Betrieb des VADOplex Systems zu gewährlei-
sten.
Deshalb dürfen Wartungen und technische Arbeiten am VADOplex
System ausschließlich von dafür autorisiertem Personal durchgeführt
werden. Andernfalls entfällt die Haftung des Herstellers für die regel-
rechte Anwendung und Wirkung des VADOplex Systems.
Das Gerät braucht nicht vom Benutzer/Patienten gereinigt werden.
Dies geschieht ausschließlich vom technischen Personal im Zuge der
Wartung/Reparatur.
Das Gehäuse sowie die Verbindungsschläuche können mit handels-
üblichen Desinfektionsmitteln oder einer 1%iger Natriumhypochlorit-
lösung wischdesinziert werden. Die auf der desinzierten Ober-
äche bendlichen Reste an Alkohol oder Natriumhypochlorit
müssen nach der Wischdesinfektion mit einem Wasser befeuchteten
Tuch entfernt werden.
Eine Sterilisierung des VADOplex Systems ist nicht erforderlich.
Das Gehäuse sowie die Verbindungsschläuche können mit
handelsüblichen Desinfektionsmitteln wischdesinziert werden.
Auf Wunsch kann der Hersteller des Gerätes Schaltpläne, Ersatz-
teillisten und andere Unterlagen für qualiziertes Fachpersonal
zur Verfügung stellen!

Getting started
1. Plug the two connecting tubes into the corresponding sockets at
the rear side of the device, one on the left and one on the right.
2. Plug the supply cable into a power socket.
3. Attach the VADOplex garments (pads) and make sure that they
are positioned properly (see user manual supplied with pressure
sleeves). The pads are to be used for one patient only and may
neither be used for several patients nor refurbished.

With the button, you can choose from 3 basic modes:

Intended use
Device for improvement of the venous return and arterial flow
with intermittent, pneumatic impulse compression on the upper
and lower extremity. It is equally suitable for specialist staff in
hospitals as well as for application at home, with the patient or his
relatives using the system themselves.
4. Connect the transparent tubes of the VADOplex pads to the
connecting tubes of the VADOplex device
5. Switch on the device with the toggle switch at the front and wait
until the following is displayed:
6. Press the start/stop button to start the therapy.
By pressing the start/stop button during therapy, you can
interrupt the procedure for a break. Pressing the button again
reactivates the device.

For the following types of patients, risks and benets have to be
assessed:
Patients whose heart could be impaired by an increased reverse
current, patients with decompensated cardiac insufciency, acute
deep leg vein thrombosis or pulmonary embolism as well as throm-
bophlebitis or massive infections of the extremities treated. If you
have any question, please ask your doctor.

Do not expose the VADOplex device to extreme temperatures, water
or humidity. Do not drop the device and do not use force trying
to open it. Should one of these events happen, have the device
inspected by an authorized service technician.
Opening the housing or exposing the device to humidity/dampness
creates a risk of electric shock.
Using the device near inammable gases can cause explosive inci-
dents. Do not place the device in the vicinity of such gases.
The device may only be used with the pads intended.
The pads have to be disposed of properly by medical staff.
Attaching the VADOplex at the hospital bed
Only employees, who have undergone the corresponding technical
training from the manufacture are authorized to open the device and
perform maintenance tasks.
The VADOplex system has to be maintained every 3000 operating
hours or at least once a year. During maintenance, the hardware and
software of the device is inspected, wear parts are checked and, if
applicable, exchanged or cleaned. This inspection requires special
training to ensure smooth operation of the VADOplex systems.
Thus, maintenance tasks and technical procedures at the VADOplex
system may only be performed by authorized technicians. Otherwise,
the manufacturer does not assume any responsibility for the use and
effect of the VADOplex system.
The case of the device and the connection hoses can be wipe-dis-
infected with standard disinfectant agents for hospital use or alter-
natively with a 1% sodium hypochlorite solution.
Residues of alcohol and sodium hypochlorite, remaining on the
surfaces after wipe disinfection, must be removed with a water
moistured cloth.
The user/patient does not have to clean the device. This is done by
the service staff during maintenance/repair.
The VADOplex system does not have to be sterilized.
You can simply wipe the housing and connection tubes with common
disinfectants.
On request, the manufacturer can supply circuit diagrams, spare
parts lists and other documents for use by qualied expert staff!

Apparecchio per aumentare il ritorno venoso al cuore e il flusso
che viene immesso nel sangue arterioso mediante compressione
pneumatica intermittente ad impulsi. Utilizzabile per gli arti su-

Premerlo di nuovo se nel corso della seduta si desidera effettuare

Nei seguenti casi valutare il rapporto rischi-beneci:
pazienti in cui l’aumentato ritorno venoso al cuore potrebbe avere
effetti negativi; pazienti con insufcienza cardiaca scompensata,
trombosi venosa profonda acuta, embolia polmonare o tromboe-
bite; pazienti con infezione estesa degli arti trattati. In caso di dubbi
consultare il medico.

DNon esporre VADOplex a calore eccessivo, acqua o umidità. Non
farlo cadere né aprirlo con forza. Qualora dovesse succedere, far
controllare sempre l’apparecchio da personale autorizzato.
Se l’alloggiamento è aperto oppure se l’apparecchio è stato esposto
a umidità eccessiva, sussiste il rischio di scosse elettriche.
Negli ambienti in cui sono presenti gas inammabili sussiste il rischio
di esplosioni. Pertanto, evitare il contatto con tali sostanze.
L’apparecchio deve essere utilizzato esclusivamente con i cuscinetti
(pad) in dotazione.
Tali pad devono essere smaltiti correttamente da personale medico
autorizzato.
Applicazione di VADOplex al capezzale
del paziente
L’apertura e la manutenzione dell’apparecchio devono essere
effettuati solo da personale appositamente addestrato del
fabbricante.
Il sistema VADOplex deve essere sottoposto a revisione ogni 3000
ore di funzionamento o almeno una volta all’anno. Ciò inclue verica,
sostituzione o pulizia dell’hardware e del software dell’apparecchio,
come anche delle parti soggette a usura. La revisione richiede un
apposito addestramento per non compromettere il regolare
funzionamento del sistema VADOplex.
Per tale motivo, la manutenzione e qualunque intervento tecnico
sull’apparecchio VADOplex devono essere effettuati solo da
personale autorizzato. In caso contrario, il fabbricante non si assume
alcuna responsabilità in merito al regolare funzionamento ed efcacia
dell’apparecchio VADOplex.
La pulizia dell’apparecchio non deve essere effettuata dall’utente/pa-
ziente, ma esclusivamente da parte di personale tecnico autorizzato
nell’ambito di un intervento di manutenzione/riparazione.
L’alloggiamento e i cavi di collegamento possono essere disinfettati
con i comuni disinfettanti o con una soluzione di ipoclorito di sodio
all’1%. Dopo la disinfezione, eliminare i residui di alcool o ipoclorito
di sodio con un panno inumidito con acqua.
VADOplex non richiede sterilizzazione.
Per l’alloggiamento e i cavi di collegamento si possono utilizzare i
comuni disinfettanti.
Su richiesta il fabbricante può mettere a disposizione schemi elettrici,
lista dei ricambi e altri documenti destinati a personale qualicato!

1. Reliez les deux tubes de raccordement à gauche et à droite, au
dos de l‘appareil, dans les ports correspondants.
