Overview
Thank you for purchasing the Orbic Q10 (RC609L).
Read this manual before operating your device and keep it for
future reference.
Getting Started
This guide helps you learn about your device hardware, assembl
procedures, and how to get started using your device.

Assemble Your Device
Prior to use, it is necessary to install the SIM card, memory card
and charge the battery.
Your device uses a nano-SIM card. A SIM card may be preinstalled
or may be able to use your previous SIM card.
Installing an SD Card/SIM Card
To install a SIM card or a micro-SD, power off the device and follow
the below steps –
1. Insert the SIM pin tool into the SIM pinhole on the tray to
open the tray.
2. Insert the microSD card with the gold contacts facing down
and close the tray.
Charging the Battery
Before using your phone, you must fully charge the battery (100%).
Warning! Use only approved charging devices and batteries. Using
other accessories may void your warranty and may damage your
device.
1. Plug the USB cable into the USB power adapter.
2. Plug the power adapter into a standard outlet.
3. Plug the other end of the USB cable into the phone’s micro
USB port.
4. The USB icon on the cable should always face up when
connecting the cable to your device, as shown.

NOTE:
•Charge your device's battery with the device turned off to
maximize efciency.
•Over time, battery life decreases steadily.
•Do not charge the battery for longer than eight hours.

Turn Your Device ON/OFF
The instructions below explain how to turn your device ON or OFF.
To Turn the Device ON
•Press and hold the Power/Lock key until the device turns
ON.
NOTE: The rst time you use your phone, you’ll need to set it up.
To Turn the Device OFF
•If the display is off, press Power/Lock to turn it back on.
•Press and hold Power/Lock for a few seconds.
•When the phone options menu appears, tap Power OFF.
•Tap OK.
Initial Setup
The rst time you turn your device ON (or after a reset to factory
settings), the on-screen prompts guide you through the basics of
setting up your device.
Follow the prompts to choose a default language, set up accounts,
choose location services, learn about your device’s features, and
more.
Secure Your Device
You can use your device’s screen lock features to secure your
device.
•To lock the device, press the Power key.
•To unlock the device, press the Power key and swipe up to
open.

Touchscreen Gestures
Tap You can select on-screen items such as appli-
cation icons or settings buttons by touching
them with your nger.
Tap and Hold Touch and hold your nger over the item to
open its options.
Swipe or Slide Drag your nger horizontally or vertically
across the screen.
Drag Tap and hold your nger before you begin to
drag and hold your nger down until the item
reaches your desired location.
Flick Swiping the screen is similar to icking, but
you need to swipe it with lighter and quicker
strokes instead.
Finger gestures are always vertical. For exam-
ple, icking through contacts or messages.
Rotate You can change the orientation of most
screens from portrait to landscape simply by
turning the phone sideways. Turning the phone
sideways will bring up a larger on-screen
keyboard.

Know Your Device
Home Screen
The Home screen serves as the start of your experience.

The Home screen is displayed when the device is in idle mode.
The Home screen allows you to add shortcuts, folders, and wid-
gets to your favorite apps to be easily accessible.
To access the Home screen
•Press Home to return to the center of the home screen.
Previewing the Home Screen
From any Home screen, tap and hold the desired application. The
application moves to your selected home screen once you select
it.
Customizing the Home Screen
You can customize the home screen and the display wallpaper.
Moving an Item on the Home Screen
To move/drag an item on the home screen,
1. Open the Home screen you want to customize.
2. Tap and hold the item you want to move until it vibrates.
3. Drag the item to a new location on your Home screen.
4. Point your nger at the location where you want the item.
NOTE: To add shortcuts to a Home screen, swipe up from your
app list to reveal all your applications. Next, nd the app you wish
to add, tap and hold on the item, and drag it onto the Home screen.
Removing an Item from the Home Screen
To remove an item from the home screen,
1. From the Home screen, tap and hold an item until it vibrates.
2. Drag the item to Remove to delete the item.

Changing the Wallpaper of the Home Screen
1. From the Home screen, tap and hold any empty area on the
Home screen for a few seconds.
2. Tap Wallpapers. Choose a photo from your camera gallery
or memory card.
3. Tap Set Wallpaper.
Widgets
Widgets are extensions for applications that appear on the Home
screen. Widgets include links to a specic contact, Internet book-
marks, Gmail and email accounts, and many more.
Add a Widget to a Home Screen
1. Touch and hold any empty area on the Home screen > select
Widgets.
2. Touch and hold the required widget, drag it to the Home
screen and release it.
Remove a Widget
1. Touch and hold the Widget you want to remove from the
Home screen.
2. Drag the widget to X Remove and release it.
NOTE: By removing a widget, you are not deleting it but instead
removing it from the Home screen.

App Shortcuts
You can add a shortcut to the Home screen.
Adding an App Shortcut
1. Touch and hold any preloaded or downloaded app on the
Home screen.
2. Drag the app to the screen and release it.
Removing the Shortcut
1. Touch and hold the app shortcut you want to remove from
the Home screen.
2. Drag the app shortcut to X Remove and release it.
Folders
Use folders to organize items on your Home screen.
Creating/Removing a Folder
1. Drag one application over another to create a folder.
2. You can name a folder and drag other applications into it
after it is created.
3. You can move folders in the same way that you move appli-
cations.
4. To remove a folder, touch and hold the folder that you want
to remove, drag the folder to X Remove and release it.

The Status Bar at the top of the home screen provides device
information (such as network status, battery charge, and time) on
the right side and notication alerts on the left.

Notication icons on the Status Bar display calendar events, de-
vice status, and more.
Viewing and Responding to Notifications
1. Tap and hold the Status bar, and slide your nger downward
to open the Notications panel. If you have multiple notica-
tions, you may have to scroll to them all.
2. Tap the desired notication to respond.
3. To close the notication panel, drag the bottom bar of the
panel or tap Back.

Using the On-screen Keyboard
Type your text input using the onboard keyboard. The keyboard
opens automatically in some applications. For others, tap any-
where in a text eld to launch the keyboard.
1. Tap each letter on the on-screen keypad.
2. Tap and hold a letter for additional key options (not all keys
have different options). Other key options include numbers
and letters with accent marks. If options are available, you
will see a box with all the options shown. Slide your nger to
select the character you want.
3. You may continue until the word is complete.

•Tap the key marked 3above while you type. When you
release the key, the lowercase letters reappear.
•Turn caps lock on - double-tap or touch & hold.
•Tap the key marked 3and tap the shift key again to
return to lowercase.
•Tap the key marked 1to delete words, tap 4so you can
change the number, and sign the keyboard.
•To hide the Android keyboard, tap the Back.
•When writing a new message, you can tap 2to skip
from the receiver to the text frame.
NOTE: You can select input methods when typing in the notica-
tion panel.

Adding/Editing/Deleting Words in the User Dictionary
The predictive text dictionary may require the addition of a word,
for example, a name or a technical term.
If you want to add a word to your User Dictionary while typing,
•Double-tap it to highlight it, tap and hold the word, and select
Add to dictionary.
If you want to add a word manually,
1. From the Home screen, Swipe up to reveal all your Apps
> nd and tap the Settings .
2. Scroll down and tap the System .
3. Tap Language & input .
4. Tap Personal Dictionary and tap the plus sign .
5. Type the word > tap Enter on the keyboard.
Editing/Deleting a Word
1. From the Home screen, Swipe up to reveal all your Apps
> nd and tap the Settings .
2. Scroll down and Tap the System .
3. Tap Language & input > Advanced.
4. Tap Personal Dictionary > tap the word to delete or edit.
5. Tap to delete the word .
