Please fully read the Cryojet5 Manual before using this simplified Guide
1) Basic Checks
Ensure all connections are secured into correct ports on back of controller, secured with locking pins.
Nitrogen Probe must be connected to lower port of slot 5.
Check all Fischer connectors are connected correctly – colour co-ordinated
Nitrogen level is above 15% (Low Cut-out at 10%)
Check the Jet and shield flow Temperatures read around room temp. (Note if you have just put the system into
Nitrogen then these reading (Particularly shield leg) will be lower due to the N2 boil-off
2) Remote Connection Settings
If you are trying to connect to the Agilent software;
1) Go to the 2nd screen pressing the small arrow at bottom right of touch screen. Press OK at the warning screen.
2) Press OK at the warning screen.

3) Select the “settings” tab from the bottom row
4) Scroll through the tabs using the arrows at the top right until you reach the RS232 tab, now check the settings;
i. BAUD rate 9600 ii) Parity “Mark” iii) Data “8”
iii. Step “1” iv) Flow Control zero
IMPORTANT NOTE If you make changes to these settings you MUST hit “APPLY” before exiting the screen or they will not be
saved

Now scroll to the ISOBUS tab and check that it is set to comm. Port “4” (Or whatever port you are using)
AGAIN you MUST hit “APPLY settings before exiting
Finally on the Settings screen, select “remote access” to be ISOBUS and ensure the second box is “Legacy”
Again apply these settings. When you now go back to the home screen, using first the home button and then the small arrow
in the LEFT hand side of the screen you should now see that buttons on the bottom row are “greyed out” indicating that you
are in remote mode. You can now also switch between local and remote using the small button at the bottom left of the touch
screen.
After all necessary changes are made, please restart the Mercury controller.

Autofil Set-up
If the system has been ordered with an autofil, the auto-fil should be set-up when the system arrives. The cable from the
solenoid valve connects to the small port at the top of slot 4 (marked Auxilliary) and locks into place.
To check the controller is set-up correctly;
1) Go to the 2nd screen pressing the small arrow at bottom right of touch screen; press OK at the warning screen.
Tap the box showing the Nitrogen level once. This is the top middle box on the first screen

Check you are on the Nitrogen tab at the top of the screen (not Helium)
i. check that the “Refill Control Output” tab is set to Autofill.O0
Check that the low and high fill settings are where you want them. They are set to 30% and 90% as standard.
To change the low and high levels click on the level number value and type in new value with displayed keypad,
then click ok and home. then restart controller. Now restart the Mercury ITC controller.
