Attaching the lens
Attention
zThe attachment procedure and parts vary depending on optional lenses. Check the Product No. of the optional
lens and attach or replace the lens properly.
zWhen using ET-ELW02, ET-ELS02, ET-ELS03, ET-ELT02, or ET-ELM01, tie up the cables using the cable
ties supplied with the projector before attaching the lens. If you attach the lens without tying up the cables, the
cables may contact the internal parts, causing malfunctions.
1) Install the lens attachment to the lens.
(i) Remove the lens covers on the front and rear of
the lens, install the lens attachment, and secure
with four screws supplied with the lens.

Locate the motor on the right side.
(ii) Connect the lens motor lead to the socket on
the top right of the lens attachment (the motor
driven lens only).

2) Set the projector to the standby mode,
press the
< >
side of the main power
switch to turn o󰀨 the power, and
unplug the power cord from the outlet.
3) Remove two screws A and slide the
lens attachment cover forward to take
o󰀨.

4) Remove the cover plate.

5) Select the light-shielding plate to be
attached.

Attention
zThe light-shielding plate-2 and light-shielding
plate-3 should be separated to the upper and lower
plates.

zMake sure that the shape of the light-shielding plate
matches the lens.
zMake sure that the attaching direction of the light-
shielding plate is correct and set them properly.
6) Insert the lower light-shielding plate.
7) Attach the lens into the projector.
(i) Hold the lens lock lever and slide it upward to
release the lock, and then insert the lens with
the lens attachment into the projector.
(ii) Hold the lens lock lever and slide it downward
until the lever clicks to secure the lens.
• When attaching the motor driven lens, be sure
to mount the lens motor on the right side.
• After attaching the lens, make sure the lens is
not loose and properly attached.
8) Adjust the focus of the projection lens
(ET-ELW03 only).

zFor details, refer to “Adjusting the focus”
(page ENGLISH-6).
z
zIf the focus adjustment is not necessary, go to
step 9).
9) Secure the lens lock lever with the lens
lock lever xing bracket.
(i) Remove the screw xing the lens and insert it to
the lens lock lever xing bracket.

(ii) Place the lens lock lever xing bracket in the
location of the removed screw.
• Make sure that the lens lock lever xing
bracket is mounted to hold the lens lock lever
in the lock position. Make sure that the lens
lock lever xing bracket is placed properly
shown in the gure.

Attention
zTo ensure that the lens is securely xed to the
projector when mounting, be sure to attach the
provided lens lock lever xing bracket. There are
two types of the lens lock lever xing bracket.
Check the Product No. of the lens and use a lens
lock lever xing bracket that matches to the lens.

10) Insert the upper light-shielding plate
into the guide of the lower light-
shielding plate.

zWhen inserting the upper light-shielding plate, the
lower light-shielding plate should be lifted upward.
zMake sure that the attaching direction of the light-
shielding plate is correct and set them properly.
zIf you cannot set the upper light-shielding plate
easily, move the projection screen from the center
to the upper side with the lens shift function in
advance.
11) Slide the lens attachment cover and
x it with two screws A.

12) Check that the lens and light-
shielding plate are set properly.
z
zTurn on the projector. Operate the lens shift,
zoom, and focus fully to check that the light-
shielding plates are moved with the lens. If
the light-shielding plate interferes with those
operations, set the light-shielding plate again.
Attention
zDo not operate the projector with the light-shielding
plate removed. Doing so may result in malfunction
of the projector.
z■Notes on attaching ET-ELW03
When attaching ET-ELW03, use two types of light-
shielding plates.
Follow the procedure on “Attaching the lens”
(page ENGLISH-3) to set the light-shielding
plate-3, and follow the procedure below to set the
light-shielding plate-1.

zThe side with <THIS SIDE BACK> must face
backward.
1) Before setting the light-shielding
plate-1, turn on the projector and move
the projected image to the most upper
left with the lens shift function.
2) Turn o󰀨 the projector.
3) Insert the light-shielding plate-1 in the
direction shown in the gure and set it
to encircle the lens.

zSet the light-shielding plates with the convex
side of the light-shielding plate-1 down.

Adjusting the focus
After setting up the projector, turn on the power, and then project the image on the screen. Adjust the position of
the projector and the projected image.
z■ET-ELW03
1) Loosen the focus lock screw.
2) Rotate the lens to obtain the proper
focus on the center area of the screen.
z
zWhen the distance between the projector and
the screen is 1 m, set the position of the focus
lock screw to the mark (yellow) of the lens.
3) Tighten the focus lock screw.
4) When proper focus is not observed
on outer area of the screen, proceed
further adjustments.
(i) Turn the focus lock ring counterclockwise.
(ii) Rotate the lens to adjust the focus on outer area
of the screen.
(iii) Turn the focus lock ring clockwise.
• If proper focus is not observed over the entire
screen, repeat steps from the rst.

Correcting the focus
When the lens is attached to the projector and images are being projected onto the screen, the peripheral focus
may be out of focus in some areas. If this happens, insert the spacer of attachment to a projector between the
lens attachment and the lens to adjust the focus.
Inserting the spacer corrects the distance on the lens adjustment and improves the diagonal focus. The
corrected distance is determined by the thickness of the used spacers. As a guide, the distance is adjusted with
approximately 30 mm for each 0.1-mm thickness of the spacers.
Three types of spacers, four of each spacer type, are supplied. Insert these spacers to correct the distance as
required.

レンズの取り付けかた


zレンズの品番によって取り付けかた、取り付け用部品が異なります。説明の中に記されている品番をよく確認
の上、正しく取り付けてください。

zレンズ品番 ET-ELW02、ET-ELS02、ET-ELS03、ET-ELT02、ET-ELM01 は、プロジェクター本体に
付属の結束バンドでワイヤーを束ねてから、レンズを取り付けてください。そのまま取り付けるとワイヤーが
本体内部の部品にあたり、故障の原因となります。
1） レンズにレンズ取付金具を取り付ける
(i) レンズ前後面についているレンズカバーを外
し、レンズにレンズ取付金具を（レンズに付属
の）ねじ（4 本）で取り付ける

ズ取付金具右上のソケットに接続する（モー

い方向で取り付けてください。

7） レンズをプロジェクター本体にはめ込む
(i) プロジェクターのレンズロックレバーをつまみ
ながら上側にスライドさせて解除し、レンズ取
付金具を取り付けたレンズを本体にはめ込む
(ii)プロジェクターのレンズロックレバーをつまみ
ながらカチッと音がするまで下側にスライドさ
せ、レンズをしっかり固定する
•モーター付レンズは、モーターを右側にして
取り付けます。
•レンズはめ込み後、ゆるみなどが無くしっか
り固定されているか確認してください。
8） レンズ品番 ET-ELW03 の場合は、ここ
でフォーカス調整を行う

z詳しくは、フォーカス調整のしかた（z日
本語 -6 ページ）をご覧ください。

zフォーカス調整が不要な場合は、手順 9）に進
んでください。
9） レンズロックレバー固定金具でレンズ
ロックレバーを固定する
(i) レンズを固定しているねじ（1 本）を外し、レ
ンズロックレバー固定金具に取り付ける

した位置に取り付ける
•レンズロックレバー固定金具がレンズロック
レバーをロック位置に保持するように取り付

位置に正しく取り付けられていることを確認
してください。

らかじめレンズシフト機能で投写画面をセンター
から上側に移動させてください。
11） レンズ取り付けカバーをスライドさせて
取り付け、ねじ A（2 本）で固定する

zプロジェクターの電源を入れます。遮光プレー
トがレンズとともに正しく動くかどうか、レン
ズを上下左右にレンズシフトさせたり、ズーム
やフォーカスを動かしたりして確認します。遮
光プレートがレンズの動きを妨げていれば、取
り付けをやり直します。
遮光プレートを外した状態でプロジェク
ターを動作させないでください。故障の原
因となります。
■ET-ELW03 取付上のご注意
レンズ品番 ET-ELW03 には、2 種類の遮光プレー
トを使用します。
レンズの取り付けかた（z日本語 -3 ペー
ジ）の手順を守り、遮光プレート -3 を取り付け
たあと、以下の手順で遮光プレート -1 を取り付
けます。

z遮光プレートの〈THISSIDEBACK〉表示面を後
方に向けて取り付けてください。
1） 遮光プレート -1 の取付前にプロジェク
ターの電源を入れ、レンズシフト機能で
投写画面を左上最大に移動させる
2） プロジェクターの電源を切る
3） 遮光プレート -1 を図の方向で遮光プレー
ト -3 の前側に挿入し、レンズに沿って巻
き付けながら取り付ける


付けてください。

フォーカス調整のしかた
プロジェクターを設置場所に据え付けたあと、電源を入れ、映像を投写します。プロジェクターの位置を調整し、
投写位置を合わせます。
■ET-ELW03 の場合
1） フォ－カス固定ねじを緩める
2） レンズを回転させ画面中央のフォ－カス
を合わせる

zプロジェクターとスクリ−ンの距離が 1m の
場合は、フォ−カス固定ねじの位置をレンズの
印（黄色の丸印）に合わせます。
3） フォ－カス固定ねじを締める
4） 画面周辺のフォーカスが合っていない場
合は、さらに調整する
(i) フォ−カス固定リングを左に回し緩める
(ii)レンズを回転させ画面周辺のフォーカスを合わ
せる
(iii)フォ−カス固定リングを右に回し締める
•全体のフォ−カスが合っていない場合は、操
作を最初からくり返し、調整してください。

フォーカスの補正のしかた
プロジェクターにレンズを取り付けてスクリーンに投写した時、周辺フォーカスが局部的にずれている場合があ
ります。このような場合、レンズ取付金具とレンズの間にプロジェクターに付属のスペーサーを挿入しフォーカ
スを補正してください。
スペーサーを挿入することにより対角のベストフォーカスの距離がスクリーン側に補正されます。挿入する
スペーサーの厚みにより補正距離が決まっています。補正距離の目安はスペーサーの厚さ 0.1mm につき約
30mm です。
スペーサーは 3 種類各 4 枚が付属されています。補正距離に応じてスペーサーを挿入してください。

レンズの取り付け、または交換のあと、レンズ取り付けカバーを取り付ける前に次の点検と確認を行っ
てください。

zレンズが所定のねじでしっかりと固定されているか。

zカバー内部の配線が破損したり、ギヤーなどのメカ部品に絡まったりしていないか。

z外れている部品は無いか、内部にねじなどの部品が残されていないか。
レンズの取り付け、または交換のあとに、お使いにならない部品が残ります。
これらの部品は後日必要となる場合がありますので、大切に保管してください。
