Wear safety glasses to protect your eyes when
handling op�cal fiber.
Never look into the end of a microscope or op�cal
cable connected to an op�cal output device that is
opera�ng. Laser radia�on is invisible, and direct
exposure can severely injure the human eye.
Alcohol is flammable, causes irrita�on and is harmful
if swallowed or inhaled. Keep alcohol away from
heat, sparks, skin, and avoid contact with eyes.

1. Improper assembly will result in a loss of performance.
Please read instruc�ons given in this opera�on manual
and the opera�on manual of the fusion splicer.
2. Nevertouch the fiber of the stub. It has been inspected
in the factory.
3. The product is sensi�ve to dirt or dust. Do not take out
any parts from the package un�l it is to be used.
4. The characteris�c will be influenced by the fiber
cleaved surface condi�on. Please use a cleaver which
has a good cleaving characteris�c.
5. Do not remove the dust cap un�l the connector has
been completely assembled in order not to cause an
high inser�on loss due to them.

(1) Slide Rear Parts, Spring and Protecon
Sleeve onto the ribbon ber.
(2) Set ribbon ber on Fiber holder.
(3) Remove Coang (JR-6)

(7) Pick up MT STUB and set the stub on the plasc holder. (8) Set stub holder on the splicer
(right side).
(9) Fusion Splice.
(10) Slide the sleeve to
the holder.
(12) Pick up the spliced ber.

(13) Slide Protecon Sleeve to
MT STUB.
(14) Set Sleeve into the heater. (15) Conrm the posion before heang. (16) Heat Protecon Sleeve.
(17) Remove Dummy Cap.

(18) Put Front Housing.

(2) Mark at 150mm from the end
of the cord.
(3) Mark Slit by LYNX2-CORDTOOL-2&3.
Set the cord on “3mm” groove.
Set the marking point
at the edge of top
(4) Fold the slit outer sheath and Kevlar
backward. Hold them by a mending tape.
