Important
◗This appliance is intended for household use
only.
C◗Assemble the appliance properly before
plugging it into the wall socket.
◗Unplug the appliance immediately after use,
i.e. before unscrewing the bar.
C◗Avoid touching the SHARP blades, especially
when the appliance is plugged in.
◗Never immerse the motor unit in water.
◗Keep the appliance out of the reach of
children.
C◗Do not exceed the quantities and preparation
times indicated in the table.
◗If the mains cord is damaged, it must be
replaced by Philips, a service centre
authorised by Philips or similarly qualified
persons in order to avoid a hazard.
◗If the blades get stuck, UNPLUG THE
APPLIANCE before removing the ingredients
that are blocking the blades.
C◗Let hot ingredients cool down before
chopping them or pouring them into the
beaker (max. temperature 80cC/175cF).

Using the appliance
Chopper (types HR1356, HR1357 only)
C◗The chopper attachment can be used for
chopping ingredients such as nuts, meat,
onions, hard cheese, dried fruits, chocolate,
garlic, herbs, dry bread etc.
C1If the ingredients stick to the chopper
beaker wall, loosen them by adding liquid
or using a spatula.
◗Make sure the coupling unit has been properly
fitted onto the chopper beaker.
C2Cut large ingredients into pieces of
approximately 2 cm/1 inch before
processing.
Bar blender
The bar blender is intended for:
- Blending fluids, e.g. dairy products, sauces, fruit
juices, soups, mixed drinks, shakes.
- Mixing soft ingredients, e.g. pancake batter or
mayonnaise.
- Pureeing cooked ingredients, e.g. for making
baby food.
C1Immerse the blade guard completely in the
ingredients.

2Switch the appliance on and blend the
ingredients by moving the appliance slowly
up and down and in circles.
C3The speed settings allow you to adjust the
speed of the appliance to obtain optimal
results. See the table for the
recommended speed settings (HR1357
only).
C4You can use the filter accessory to obtain
extra finely blended sauces or juices
(HR1357 only).
Whisk (type HR1357 only)
C◗You can use the whisk attachment to whip
cream, egg whites, desserts etc.
C1To obtain a good whipping result, please
use a wider bowl.
C2To avoid splashing, insert the whisk into
the bowl, switch the appliance on and whip
the ingredients by slowly moving the
appliance in circles.

Cleaning
1Clean the beaker, the lid, the filter, the
chopping beaker, the blade unit and the
whisk in the dishwasher or in warm soapy
water.
It is recommended to remove the rubber ring
from the chopper before cleaning.
2The blade unit and the whisk of the bar
blender can also be cleaned by immersing
the blade guard or the whisk in warm
soapy water and letting the appliance run
for a while.
3Wipe the motor unit, the coupling unit of
the chopper (HR1356 & 1357) and the
coupling unit of the whisk (HR1357) with a
damp cloth. Do not immerse these parts in
water!

Quantities and preparation times

Użycie urz dzenia
Rozdrabniacz (tylko modele HR1356,
HR1357)
C◗Nasadk rozdrabniającą można stosować do
siekania takich składników, jak: orzechy, mi so,
cebula, twardy ser, suszone owoce, czekolada,
czosnek, zioła, suchy chleb, itp.
◗Upewnij si , że element mocujący został
prawidłowo założony na pojemnik
rozdrabniacza.
C1Jeśli składniki przykleją si do ścianek
pojemnika, rozcieńcz je, dodając nieco
płynu lub usuń łopatką.
C2Przed rozdrabnianiem potnij wi ksze
kawałki na kostki o wielkości około 2 cm.
Blender
Blender przeznaczony jest do:
- Miksowania płynów, np. produktów mlecznych,
sosów, soków owocowych, zup, napojów
mieszanych, koktajli.
- Mieszania miękkich składników, np. ciasta na
naleśniki i majonezu.
- cierania gotowanych składników, np. do
przygotowywania potraw dla niemowląt.
