Warranty
PMK GmbH warrants this oscilloscope accessory for normal use and operation within specifications for a peri-
od of two (2) years from date of shipment and will repair or replace any defective product which was not dama-
ged by negligence, misuse, improper installation, accident or unauthorized repair or modification by the buyer.
This warranty is applicable only to defects due to material or workmanship. PMK GmbH disclaim any other
implied warranties of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose. PMK GmbH will not be liable for any
indirect, special, incidental, or consequential damages (including damages for loss of profits, loss of business,
loss of use or data, interruption of business and the like), even if PMK GmbH has been advised of
the possibility of such damages arising from any defect or error in this manual or product.

To avoid personal injury and to prevent fire or damage to this product or products connected to it, review and
comply with the following safety precautions. Be aware that if you use this instrument in a manner not specified
the protection this product provides may be impaired.
Only qualified personnel should use this instrument.
Warning:
Dangerous voltages capable of causing death are present when using this instrument.
Use extreme caution when handling, testing and adjusting.
Use only grounded instruments.
Connect the generator only to equipment that is connected to earth ground. Always make sure equipment is
grounded properly.
Keep away from live circuits.
Avoid open circuitry. Do not touch connections or components when power is present.
Do not operate with suspected failures.
Refer to qualified service personnel.
Indoor use only.
Do not operate in wet/damp environment. Keep product surfaces dry and clean.
Do not operate the product in an explosive atmosphere.
Do not modify the instrument.

About the TK100C Probe Calibrator TK100C
The TK100C facilitates DC, LF and HF adjustment of HV-probes.
Mode of operation
The function of TK100C can be seen from the circuit principle.
A stabilized 100 V DC source loads a 1 uF capacitor. A "none chatter contact" connects the voltage to a RC
network of approx. 50 Ωand 47 pF. The rise time between 10% and 90% is approx smaller 6 ns. The duration
of the square wave pulse is 5 ms.
For optimum results the HV-probe or divider should be connected coaxial.

How to use this instrument TK100C
Setup:
1. Connect the probe calibrator to the power supply and the power supply to mains.
NOTE: The Power LED (2) is lit,
The Mode Indicator LED (3) is off.
There is no voltage applied to the BNC Output (4)
2. Connect the probe to the BNC jack of the measuring instrument and adjust the scope-to-probe
divider ratio.
4. Connect the probe to the BNC Output (4) of the TK100C
Operation:
- By pressing the Mode Button (5) once, the TK100C provides a 100 V square wave signal of 5 ms duration.
NOTE: The TK100C is in pulse mode. The Mode Indicator LED (3) blinks.
- By pressing the Mode Button (5) again the TK100C is set to DC Mode, providing 100 V DC
NOTE: The Mode Indicator LED (3) glows constantly.
- If the Mode Button (5) is pressed again the TK100C will go into Standby once again.
NOTE: The Mode Indicator LED (3) is turned off again.
Make sure to set the trigger level at the scope to a decent value for best results.
( e.g. 50% of the pulse amplitude)

Calibration TK100C
The output voltage of the TK100C can be adjusted.
On the bottom side of the device is a trimmer potentiometer located under the identification label.
It is marked by the "DC Adjust" symbol.
Please note, that any previous calibration is invalidated by adjustments you make to this trimmer.
Safety Precautions & Override
The TK100C has a safety circuit inside, wich enables output voltage only if a BNC Adapter is connected.
You can override this safety feature at your own risk following these steps:
1. Disconnect the TK100C from the 15 V DC supply voltage.
2. Wait for at least 20 seconds.
3. Hold down the Mode Button (5) while reconnecting the 15 V DC supply voltage.
The safety circuit is now circumvented.
You can reenable the safety circuit by repeating the steps above, once again.
