Features
Deck and
Belt •Ground Effects®Impact Control System helps decrease impact on joints and reduces lateral motion.
•Rear deck hinges and front cushioning create a laterally stable platform that reduces shock to the runner and provides a
firm surface for push off.
•Integrated Footplant™Technology makes each step feel more natural, balanced and in-control.
•The deck is phenolic laminate bonded to 1” medium density fiberboard and can be flipped to double life.
•Dry lube belt with continuous lubrication. Requires no external lubrication.
•Steel tapered rollers keep the belt centered to reduce maintenance and noise.
•Siegling E-6 special weave multi-ply polyester belt with PVC surface.
Drive system •3.0hp continuous-duty DC Vortex motor. The Vortex motor casing spins, is self-cooling and eliminates the need for an
external cooling fan. Electrical windings are located on the outer case housing, while the permanent magnets are located
in the fixed motor core. . Integrated flywheel reduces potential for shipping damage. Dual sealed bearings on the drive
end for increased motor life. Electrically grounded shaft eliminates threat of fluting. Vortex uses the same durable
commutator design as the 966i.
•Lower PCA designed with integrated power components and continuously operating fan to handle higher loads and
temperatures.
•Magnetic Hall-effect speed sensor is located internally protecting it from damage. No maintenance is required to
maintain exact speed monitoring and control.
•Low voltage drive system (PWM) draws less current and minimizes problem with circuit breakers.
Display •Membrane switches and an intuitive console.
•Power jack in upper display to run entertainment systems.
Frame and
lift •Two-step powder-coating process applies rust-resistant undercoat and cosmetic topcoat to steel frame.
•Lift motor generates up to 1000 lbs. of thrust and operates in compression as intended by design.
•Structural frame components are assembled using Huck fasteners, not standard bolts.
•Includes front handrail without side handrails. Optional short side handrails are available.
•Threads in lift actuator screw are covered at low incline to prevent dust collection, extending the life of the lift
mechanism.
•Durable cast aluminum end caps for secure lifting and long lasting quality. End caps will not crack when stepped on.
Diagnostics •Ability to set owner parameters, e.g., limit exercise time and pause time.
•Ability to check safety breaker and display functioning and to monitor current draw by motor to detect bed and belt wear
before damage occurs.
Heart Rate •SmartRate®shows actual heart rate in relation to the target zone for weight loss and cardio training.
•Equipped for heart rate telemetry reading using Polar®technology.

Features •QuickStart™for user convenience lets user begin workout with the push of a single button.
