FITTING INSTRUCTIONS
•To fit the R&G tail tidy, first remove the pillion seat using the key as shown in picture 1.
•Undo the bolt arrowed in picture 2 and remove the rider seat.
•Remove the cable ties arrowed in picture 3 and unravel the wiring sheath to allow access to the
plug socket.
•Disconnect the licence plate illuminator connector arrowed in picture 4.
•Unclip the cable tidy arrowed in picture 5.
•Remove the bolt arrowed in picture 6 and remove the wiring then replace the bolt.
•Unclip the wiring as shown in pictures 7 and 8.
•Remove the three bolts arrowed in picture 9.
•Remove the four bolts arrowed in picture 10 and remove the grab handles.
•Remove the two bolts arrowed in picture 11 and remove the under-seat storage box.
•Disconnect the four wiring plug sockets for the indicators arrowed in picture 12 (it is a good idea
to label/identify which male goes into which female socket).
•Remove the two bolts arrowed in picture 13 and remove the indicator mounting bracket (please
be careful of the wiring).
•Remove all the bolts arrowed in pictures 14 thru 24 and carefully remove the seat side panels and
the under-tray.
•Route the original licence plate illuminator wiring along the rear sub-frame and into the under seat
area (alongside the indicator plug sockets, please ensure when the panels and under-tray are
refitted the wiring is not trapped/over tight) and secure in position using the cable ties supplied
(item 14) as shown in pictures 25 and 26.
•Remove the four bolts arrowed in pictures 27 and 28.

•Fit one of the rubber wiring grommets (item 12) into the licence plate mounting bracket (item
19) as shown below (a small amount of liquid detergent/soap will aid this process).
•Place the licence plate mounting bracket (item 19) into position as shown above and reuse the
original bolts to secure in position as arrowed in pictures 29 and 30.
•Refit all the original seat side panels and the under-tray as original.
If reusing the original indicators
•Remove the indicator bracket cover as shown in picture 31.
•Remove the two nuts and locking washers plate arrowed in picture 32 and remove the indicators.
•Fit the indicators into the new licence plate bracket (item 1) and secure as shown in picture 33,
(you may also use the indicator wiring covers (item 10) to hide the nut and washer and described
below).
If using the mini indicators
•To fit the R&G Mini Indicators (R&G mini indicator product code RG370 for bulb type and RG371
for LED type or RG372 for Aero Style led type).
•Place the indicators of choice into the larger holes in the licence plate bracket (item 1) and
secure with the flange nut as shown in picture 34.
•Feed the indicator wiring through one of the nut/wire covers (item 10) as shown in pictures
below (it helps if a small amount of liquid detergent/soap is used) and position the nut cover
over the nut (repeat the above for the opposite indicator).
•Fit one length of heat-shrink (item 11) over the wires of each indicator so the heat-shrink fits
over the stem of the nut/wire cover and gently heat until the heat-shrink contracts to the wiring
and nut/wire cover as shown in pictures below.

•Feed the wires of the new R&G licence plate illuminator (item 9) through the central hole in the
new licence plate bracket (item 1) as shown in pictures 35 and 36.
•Secure using the washers and nut supplied as shown in picture 35.
•Fit one length of heat-shrink (item 14) to the wires and heat gently to shrink to fit.
•Fit the light shroud and use a small amount of adhesive to hold it in position as shown in picture
36.
•Fit one of the rubber wiring grommets (item 12) into the licence plate mounting bracket (item 1)
as shown in picture 37 (a small amount of liquid detergent/soap will aid this process).
•Place one of the M6 washers (item 3) onto each of the M6 bolts (item 2), then place the two bolts
and washers through the two holes as shown in pictures 38, 39 and 40.
•Place the two threaded spacers (item 5) over the exposed threads and tighten as shown in
picture 39.
•Position the spacer (item 6) over the hole and hold in position with a small amount of adhesive as
arrowed in picture 39.
•Feed the wire through the grommet as shown in picture 40 and tidy using the clips and cable ties
(items 14 and 16).
•If using mini indicators blank the remaining holes using the two blanking grommets (item 17) as
shown in picture 41.
•Feed the wires through the grommet in the licence plate mounting bracket as shown in picture 42
(a small amount of liquid detergent/soap will help).
•Push the licence plate bracket assembly into position and secure using the M5 bolt and washer
(items 7 and 8) as shown in picture 43.
•Use the two M6 nuts and washers (items 3 and 4) over the exposed threads and tighten as shown
in picture 44.
•Reconnect the licence plate illuminator using the supplied connector (item13) to the original plug
socket.
•If using the original indicators reconnect to the wiring harness as original.
•If using R&G mini indicators we suggest cutting the original plug sockets from the indicators
(approximately 50mm long) and use the supplied bullet connectors (item 15) as shown below to
connect to the original wiring loom.
•It is a good idea the check the licence plate illuminator and indicators at this stage if illumination
fails please swap the bullet connections around (depending on the choice of indicators you may
have to use resistors to achieve the correct flash rate).
•Refit the rider/pillion seats as original and licence plate (it may require drilling).
•IMPORTANT: IF FITTING A FULL-SIZE LICENCE PLATE AND PLACING IT FAR DOWN ON THE LICENCE PLATE
HANGER, THERE IS A SMALL CHANCE OF THE LICENCE PLATE HITTING THE BACK WHEEL UNDER HEAVY LOAD
AND OVER LARGE BUMPS IN THE ROAD. IT IS YOUR RESPONSIBILITY TO CHECK FOR THIS POSSIBILITY AND
TAKE AVOIDING ACTION. FAILURE TO CHECK THIS COULD RESULT IN SERIOUS INJURY.

•Depending on local laws, attach enclosed reflector (item 18) in an appropriate location.
•Test the license plate illuminator and all lights before riding.

CONSUMER NOTICE
The catalogue description and any exhibition of samples are only broad indications of the Products and R&G may make design
changes which do not diminish their performance or visual appeal and supplying them in such state shall conform to the order. The
Buyer acknowledges no representation or warranty (other than as to title) has been given or will apply to the Products other than
those in R&G’s order or confirmation and the Buyer confirms it has chosen the Products as being of merchantable quality and
suitable for its particular purposes. Where R&G fits the Products or undertakes other services it shall exercise reasonable skill and
care and rectify any fault free of charge unless the workmanship has been disturbed. The Buyer is responsible for ensuring that the
warranty on the motorcycle is not affected by the fitting of the Products. On return of any defective Products R&G shall at its option
either supply a replacement or refund the purchase money but shall not be liable if the Products have been modified or used or
maintained otherwise than in accordance with R&G’s or manufacturer’s instructions and good engineering practice or if the defect
arises from accident or neglect. Other than identified above and subject to R&G not limiting its liability for causing death and
personal injury, it shall not be liable for indirect or consequential loss and otherwise its liability shall be limited to the amounts paid
by the Buyer for the Products or the fitting or service concerned. These terms do not affect the Buyer’s statutory rights.
R&G RETURNS POLICY (NON-FAULTY GOODS)
Returns must be pre-authorised (if not pre-authorised the return will be rejected). Goods may only be returned direct to us if they
were purchased direct from us (customer must prove if necessary). Otherwise to be returned to original vendor. Goods must be in
re-sellable condition, in the opinion of R&G. All returns are subject to a 25% restocking and handling fee (25% of the gross value
exc. P&P –at the prevailing price at time of purchase). The customer must pay any and all carriage charges. No returns of
discontinued products, unless within 14 days of purchase. This policy does not affect your statutory rights and does not refer to
faulty goods.

NOTICE DE MONTAGE
•Pour installer le support arrière R&G, retirez d'abord le siège passager à l'aide de la clé comme
indiqué sur la photo 1.
•Desserrez le boulon fléché sur la photo 2 et retirez le siège du pilote.
•Retirez les serre-câbles fléchés sur la photo 3 et démêlez la gaine de câblage pour permettre
l'accès à la prise de courant.
•Débranchez le connecteur de feu de plaque d'immatriculation indiqué sur la photo 4.
•Déclipper le range-câbles fléché sur la photo 5.
•Retirez le boulon fléché sur la photo 6 et retirez le câblage, puis remplacez le boulon.
•Déclippez le câblage comme indiqué sur les photos 7 et 8.
•Retirez les trois boulons fléchés sur la photo 9.
•Retirez les quatre boulons fléchés sur la photo 10 et retirez les poignées de maintien.
•Retirez les deux boulons fléchés sur la photo 11 et retirez la boîte de rangement sous le siège.
•Débranchez les quatre prises de câblage pour les clignotants fléchés sur la photo 12 (il est
judicieux d'étiqueter / d'identifier la correspondance entre prise mâle et prise femelle).
•Retirez les deux boulons fléchés sur la photo 13 et retirez le support de montage de clignotant
(veuillez faire attention au câblage).
•Retirez tous les boulons fléchés sur les photos 14 à 24 et retirez soigneusement les panneaux
latéraux du siège et le plateau inférieur.
•Acheminez le câblage de feu de la plaque d'immatriculation d'origine le long du sous-châssis arrière
et dans la zone sous le siège (à côté des prises de clignotant, assurez-vous que lorsque les
panneaux et le sous-plateau sont remontés, le câblage ne soit pas coincé / trop serré) et fixez-le
en position à l'aide des serre-câbles fournis (article 14) comme indiqué sur les photos 25 et 26.
•Retirez les quatre boulons fléchés sur les photos 27 et 28.
•Montez l'un des passe-fils en caoutchouc (article 12) dans le support de montage de la plaque
d'immatriculation (article 19) comme illustré ci-dessous (une petite quantité de détergent liquide /
savon facilitera ce processus).
•Placez le support de montage de la plaque d'immatriculation (article 19) en position comme indiqué
ci-dessus et réutilisez les boulons d'origine pour les fixer comme indiqué sur les photos 29 et 30.

•Remontez en place tous les panneaux latéraux d'origine du siège et le plateau inférieur comme à
l’origine.
Si vous réutilisez les clignotants d'origine
Retirez le couvercle du support de clignotant comme indiqué sur la photo 31.
•• Retirez les deux écrous et la plaque des rondelles de blocage fléchées sur la photo 32 et retirez
les clignotants.
•Montez les clignotants sur le nouveau support de plaque d'immatriculation (article 1) et fixez-le
comme indiqué sur la photo 33, (vous pouvez également utiliser les couvercles de câblage de
clignotant (article 10) pour cacher l'écrou et la rondelle, détails ci-dessous).
Si vous réutilisez les mini clignotants
•Pour installer les mini-clignotants R&G (mini-clignotant R&G code produit RG370 pour le type
ampoule et RG371 pour le type LED ou RG372 pour le type à LED latérale).
•Placer les clignotants de votre choix dans les plus grands trous du support de plaque
d'immatriculation (article 1) et fixez-les avec l'écrou de bride comme indiqué sur la photo 34.
•Faites passer le câblage de clignotant à travers l'un des cache-écrou / fils (article 10) comme
indiqué sur les photos ci-dessous (cela aide si une petite quantité de détergent / savon liquide
est utilisée) et placez le cache-écrou sur l'écrou (répétez la procédure ci-dessus pour le
clignotant opposé).
•Placer une longueur de thermorétractable (article 11) sur les fils de chaque clignotant de sorte
que le thermorétractable s'adapte sur la tige du cache-écrou / fil et chauffer doucement jusqu'à
ce que le manchon soit contracté sur le câblage et le cache-écrou / fil comme montré sur les
photos ci-dessous.
•Faites passer les fils du nouveau feu de plaque d'immatriculation R&G (article 9) à travers le trou
central du nouveau support de plaque d'immatriculation (article 1) comme indiqué sur les photos
35 et 36.
•Fixez à l'aide des rondelles et de l'écrou fournis comme indiqué sur la photo 35.
•Monter une longueur de thermorétractable (article 14) sur les fils et chauffer doucement pour que
le manchon rétrécisse et s’adapte aux fils.
•Montez la protection feu puis utilisez une petite quantité d'adhésif pour la fixer en position, comme
indiqué sur la photo 36.
•Montez l'un des passe-câbles en caoutchouc (article 12) dans le support de montage de la plaque
d'immatriculation (article 1) comme indiqué sur la photo 37 (une petite quantité de détergent
liquide / savon facilitera ce processus).
•Placer une des rondelles M6 (article 3) sur chacun des boulons M6 (article 2), puis placer les deux
boulons et rondelles à travers les deux trous comme indiqué sur les photos 38, 39 et 40.

•Placez les deux entretoises filetées (article 5) sur les filetages exposés et serrez comme indiqué sur
la photo 39.
•Positionnez l'entretoise (article 6) sur le trou et maintenez-la en place avec une petite quantité
d'adhésif comme indiqué sur la photo 39.
•Faites passer le fil à travers le passe-fil comme indiqué sur la photo 40 et rangez-le à l'aide des
clips et des colliers de serrage (articles 14 et 16).
•Si vous utilisez des mini-clignotants, bouchez les trous restants à l'aide des deux œillets
d'obturation (article 17), comme indiqué sur la photo 41.
•Faites passer les fils à travers l'œillet dans le support de montage de la plaque d'immatriculation
comme indiqué sur la photo 42 (une petite quantité de détergent liquide / de savon vous aidera).
•Placez le support de plaque d'immatriculation en position et fixez-le à l'aide du boulon M5 et de la
rondelle (articles 7 et 8) comme indiqué sur la photo 43.
•Utilisez les deux écrous et rondelles M6 (articles 3 et 4) sur les filetages exposés et serrez comme
indiqué sur la photo 44.
•Rebranchez le feu de plaque d'immatriculation à l'aide du connecteur fourni (article 13) sur la prise
d'origine.
•Si vous utilisez les clignotants d'origine, reconnectez-les au faisceau de câbles comme à l’origine.
•Si vous utilisez des mini-clignotants R&G, nous vous suggérons de couper les prises de courant
d'origine des clignotants (environ 50 mm de long) et d'utiliser les connecteurs fournis (article 15)
comme indiqué ci-dessous pour connecter au faisceau de câbles d'origine.
•Il est judicieux de vérifier le fonctionnement du feu de plaque d'immatriculation à ce stade. Si la
lumière ne s'allume pas, veuillez permuter les connecteurs (selon le choix des clignotants, vous
devrez peut-être utiliser des résistances pour obtenir le taux de luminosité correct).
•Remontez le siège conducteur comme à l’origine et le support de plaque (cela peut nécessiter un
perçage).
•IMPORTANT : SI VOUS POSEZ UNE PLAQUE D'IMMATRICULATION DE GRANDE TAILLE PLEINE ET QUE VOUS LA
POSEZ VERS LE BAS DU SUPPORT DE PLAQUE D'IMMATRICULATION, IL EXISTE UN RISQUE QUE LA PLAQUE
D'IMMATRICULATION TOUCHE LA ROUE ARRIÈRE SOUS L’EFFET D’UNE CHARGE LOURDE ET SUR DES
RALENTISSEURS ABRUPTES SUR LA ROUTE. IL EST DE VOTRE RESPONSABILITÉ DE VÉRIFIER CE RISQUE ET DE
PRENDRE DES MESURES NÉCESSAIRES POUR L’ÉVITER. LA NON-VÉRIFICATION DE CE POINT POURRAIT
ENTRAÎNER DES BLESSURES GRAVES.
•En fonction des lois locales, fixez le réflecteur fourni (article 18) à un endroit approprié.
•Testez le feu de plaque d'immatriculation et tous les feux avant de rouler.
