1.8Description
The STR0.1PA electricactuator iscontrolled by24 VDC voltagefed tothe electricactuator’s
terminalsaccordingtothewiringdiagram, resp. by 0/4/12 upto20mA, 4up to12 mA(0/2 up to 10V)
(input controlsignaland provides formoving theoutputpart ofthe EAautomaticallytoaposition
correspondingtothevalue of theinputsignal)andotherfunctionsas well.
Theelectricactuatorconsistsofthesemainparts(Fig. 1):
Theelectricactuatorisdriven byan electricmotor (1) supplied and controlled from the
source board (3) and controlunit (2) of the DMS3electronics.
Position ofoutput element of EA isscannedby contactless absolutesensor.Thrust is
scanned withthrustswitches S1andS2.
Dependingontheversion,the DMS3electroniccircuit boardmayinclude anelectronicposition
transmitter (EPV)without power supply(passive) withoutput signal4through20 mA.
Space heater(5) isplaced atthecontrolboard.
Incase ofpowercutordamageofswitches theactuatorcan be controlled by manualhandle
accordingtoinstructions statedinchapter4.Service and Maintenance.
Basicmodules of DMS3electroniccontrolsystemforSTR0.1PA:
Control unit(2) –mainpart of system DMS3–it contains microprocessor, 6signalLED and 4buttons
forsimpleadjustmentandcontrolofEA,connectorsforconnection ofthrustscannerand sourcing
boardand communication connector(connection toPC foradjustmentand diagnostic),2free
programmablerelaysR1and R2,, 1relayREADYand terminalsfor electricconnection.
Sourcing board forsingle-phase version (3) –secures power supplyof electronicand provides an
outputvoltageof 24 VDC, 40 mAfor the user,itcontains userterminalboard,switchingcircuits,
connector forconnectionwithcontrolunit.
Positionscanning unit (4)–securescontactlessmagneticpositionscanningof outputelement.
LEDdisplay(7) –showsinstant positionof EA outputmemberandreportsand displayspotential
errors, which wouldoccur when EA isoperated. Signallingmotionand failureofthe EA isalso
indicated byLEDsdiode.LED displayisused onlyprotype of constructionEA without local
control.
Manualcontrol: manualhandleon the uppercover ofthe EA.
