1.Generaldata
1.1Purpose andapplications
Electriclinearactuators Rematic (hereinafterreferred as EA only)withthe DMS3electronic
controlofthe STR1PAand STR 2PA type (hereinafterreferred as STRPA only)aresetup bythe
programtobe controlled on the 24 VDC voltagelevel;aresetup bythe programtobe controlledby
analogue inputsignal, potentiallycontrolled throughainterface with Modbus/Profibus communication
protocol.
Electriclinearactuators STRPA types arehigh-powered electric-mechanicalproductsdesignedfor
directinstallations ontocontrolled devices (regulatingbodies -valves,etc.).EA ofSTRPA typesare
provided forremotecontrolofclosingbodies,orforautomotivecontrolofregulatingbodies inboth
directions oftheirmovement.Theycan be equipped withmeans ofmeasuringand controlof
technologicalprocesses wherean unified analogue direct current resp. voltagesignalisan information
bearerontheirinputand/oroutput(notvalidforEA´swithModbus/Profibus protocol).Theyare
connected withthe controlled devices withflangesaccording toDIN3358 or usingpillarsand flanges.
1.It isforbidden touseEA as alifting mechanism!
1.2Safetyinstructions
1.2.1CharacteristicsoftheProductRegarding ItsExposureRate
EA of STRPA types arereserved technicaldevices withhigher rateof danger, withpossibility

Position ofoutput element of EA andthrust isscanned by contactless absolutesensor.
Dependingontheversion,the DMS3electroniccircuit boardmayinclude anelectronicposition
transmitter (EPV)without power supply(passive) withoutput signal4through20 mA.
Space heater(5) isplaced atthecontrolboard.
Incase ofpowercutordamageofswitches theactuatorcan be controlled by manualhandle
accordingtoinstructions statedin chapter4. Service and Maintenance.
Basicmodules of DMS3electroniccontrolsystemforSTRPA:
Control unit(2) –mainpart of system DMS3–it contains microprocessor, 6signalLED and 4buttons
