Areas of Caution
Never operate a sandblaster without a suitable dust extractor or suitable personal protective clothing as
this can be detrimental to your health. The type of dust extractor must relate to the type of dust produced
by your sandblasting work. It is imperative to adhere to your trade association regulations
(ZH 1/487).
Improper use can risk the danger of damage to eyes and skin.Never blast towards your eyes or onto
unprotected skin.
Before operating, check that the tank lid is correctly fitted. An incorrectly sealed lid can work loose with a
force similar to an explosion. There is thus a risk of harm from flying components and from the sudden
escape of abrasive.
Always disconnect the unit from the compressed air and electricity supplies before carrying out any
maintenance.
Never clean the tank or tank lid with cleaning fluids containing solvents! Solvents may cause a build-up of
micro-cracks in the acrylic therefore creating a risk of explosion.
As long as only the compressed air supply hose is connected, do not operate the foot-switch as the hose
will thrash around and quite possibly cause injury.
Before changing the fluorescent lamp make sure the lamp is unplugged.
Do not push or bend the lamp when exchanging (danger of breaking). If necessary wear gloves or
use a cloth for protection.

Cleaning / Maintenance
To clean the unit use only cleaning fluid that is free from solvents (e.g.soapy water).
To clean the blasting chamber remove the inner tray and vacuum it out with a suitable dust extractor.
Condensed water: Occasionally check whether water has formed in the maintenance unit. If so, press the
drainage valve (B) on the maintenance unit (see Fig.5).
To change the nozzles: Check that the screw thread of the hand piece is free from abrasive when chang-
ing the nozzle.
To change the viewing pane:To change the viewing pane loosen the crosshead screws on the top hinge.
Remove the protective foil from the coated side of the new pane. The new pane can now be easily
mounted by feeding it through the hinge from one side and then carefully tightening the cross-head
screws. Make sure the coated side is facing into the blasting chamber.
To change the blasting hoses:The hoses wear out due to the abrasive. In case abrasive or air escapes
from the hose, the blasting hose has to be exchanged immediately. To do this, the
basic professional
should be disconnected from the compressed air supply. Then follow the steps as described in the
manual enclosed to the hose kit (art.no.21.9162).
To change the fluorescent lamp: Unplug the mains cable.Pull lamp together with cover out of the frame
and remove the cover.Remove frame from dust using a dust extractor or with pressured air. Put cover
onto the new lamp and insert into frame.
Use Renfert lamp assembly only (no. 92900-0002, Osram Dulux S/E 11W / 21-840 or Philips PL-S
11 W / 840 / 4 P fluorescent lamp).
Do not push or bend the lamp when exchanging (danger of breaking). If necessary wear gloves or use a
cloth for protection.
