7.Cleaning/Maintenance
Use only solvent-free cleaning agents
(e.g. soap suds)
Interior:
- remove the grate / remove the blasting material
residue >> Ill. 15
Condensed water:
- control the water separator
- activate the foot switch + remove the water via the
vent >> Ill. 19
Changing the nozzles:
- loosen the thread (use the hexagon key from the
small parts set)>> Ill. 20
- remove the nozzles >> Ill. 21
- check the mixing chamber for wear and tear +
remove the blasting material residue >> Ill. 22
- insert new nozzles >> Ill. 21
- tighten the thread >> Ill. 20
Changing the blasting material:
- move the unit over to the edge of the table

(attention: risk of accident – secure the unit via a
second person)
- position the collection tray >> Ill. 24
- release the blasting material vent >> Ill. 25
- clean / fix the filter >> Ill. 26 / Ill. 16
- close the blasting material vent >> Ill. 25
- fill with new blasting material >> Ill. 17
Changing the viewing pane:
- loosen the fixing screws >> Ill. 27
- remove the pane >> Ill. 28
- insert the new pane >> Ill. 28
- carefully tighten the fixing screws >> Ill 27
Changing the blasting hose:
- disconnect the unit from the compressed air

- remove all the blasting material >> Ill. 23 - 25
- loosen the hose clamps and remove the hose

- install the new hoses >>Ill. 30 + Ill. 31
Only use Renfert replacement hose!
Changing the fluorescent lamp:
First disconnect the lamp from the power
supply.
- remove the lamp cover >> Ill. 8
- remove the fluorescent lamp horizontally from its
holder >> Ill. 6
- if possible vacuum out the lamp holder
- insert the new fluorescent lamp horizontally into the
holder >> Ill. 6
- replace the lamp cover >> Ill. 8
When changing the lamp do not press firmly
or bend (danger of breakage). If possible wear
gloves or use a cloth to protect against
breakage or glass fragments.
8.Spareparts
You will find the order numbers for wear-and-tear /
replacement parts in the attached list.
9. Guarantee
When used properly Renfert guarantees all parts of
the
Vario basic
for 3 years. Parts given to natural
wear and tear are excluded from this guarantee (e.g.
blasting nozzles, blasting hose, lamp, connections
for blasting hose, viewing pane, filter material etc.)
The guarantee is void for damage caused by misuse,
disregard of the instructions for use, cleaning,
maintenance and connection, for self-repaired units
or repair by untrained personnel, for use of spare
parts from other manufacturers and on influences
outside the normal practice or unauthorised in the
instruction manual. Servicing made under guarantee
does not extend the guarantee.
