The popular Simrad ES60
echo sounder system can be
installed on any commercial
computer, provided that the
technical specications are met.
However, ofce computers
have not proven to be very
dependable on shing vessels.
In order to meet an increasing
demand for a rugged and
reliable computer, we now
introduce the ES60 Marine
Computer.
Based on a commercial design,
the ES60 Marine Computer provides
a rugged design, small physical size,
adequate performance and no moving
parts.
The traditional hard disk has
been replaced with a 4 Gb FlashDisk
memory device, while fans and CD
player has been omitted.
The computer supports four
RS-232 serial lines, two ethernet
connections, as well as six USB
sockets and one LVDS interface. It
will also operate on DC voltages.
