• Some dust created by power sanding, sawing, grinding, drilling and other construction
activities contains chemicals known to the State of California to cause cancer, birth defects
or other reproductive harm. Some examples of these chemicals are:

– Work with approved safety equipment, such as dust masks that are specially designed to

– Avoid prolonged contact with dust from power sanding, sawing, grinding, drilling, and
other construction activities. Wear protective clothing and wash exposed areas with soap
and water. Allowing dust to get into your mouth or eyes or to lie on the skin may promote
absorption of harmful chemicals.

IMPORTANT SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
When using an electrical appliance, basic precautions should always be followed,
including the following:
READ ALL INSTRUCTIONS BEFORE USING THIS PRODUCT!
WARNING To reduce risk of re, electric shock, or injury:
Do not use on wet surfaces. Do not expose to rain. Store indoors. Do
not charge outdoors.
This blower is intended for household use.
Do not allow to be used as a toy. Close attention is necessary when used by or near
children.
Use only as described in this manual. Use only manufacturer’s recommended
attachments.
Do not put any object into any openings. Do not use with any opening blocked; keep
free of dust, lint, hair, and anything that may reduce air ow.
Keep hair, loose clothing, ngers, and all parts of body away from openings and
moving parts. Loose clothes, jewelry, or long hair can be drawn into air vents.
Use extra care when cleaning on stairs.
Do not use to blow ammable or combustible liquids, such as gasoline, or use in areas
where they may be present.
Know your power blower. Read the instruction manual carefully. Learn the blower’s
applications and limitations, as well as the specic potential hazards related to this
blower. Following this rule will reduce the risk of electric shock, re, or serious injury.
Do not incinerate the appliance even if it is severely damaged. The batteries can explode
in a re.
Do not leave blower unattended when the battery is inserted. Remove the battery when
the blower is not in use and before servicing.
Avoid accidental starting. Be sure that the switch is in the locked or off position before
inserting the battery pack. Carrying blowers with your nger on the switch or inserting the
battery pack into a blower with the switch on invites accidents.
Stay alert, watch what you are doing and use common sense when operating a power
blower. Do not use the blower while tired, upset, or under the inuence of drugs,
alcohol, or medication. A moment of inattention while operating blowers may result in
serious personal injury.
Do not use on a rooftop, tree, or other unstable support. Stable footing on a solid
surface enables better control of the blower in unexpected situations.
Keep rm footing and balance. Do not overreach. Overreaching can result in loss of
balance.
Always take care of your feet, children, or pets around you when removing the battery
pack from blower. NEVER remove the battery pack when in a high position. Serious
injury could result if the battery pack falls.
Do not use the blower if switch does not turn it on or off. A blower that cannot be
controlled with the switch is dangerous and must be repaired.
Removing the battery pack from the blower before making any adjustments, changing
accessories, or storing the blower. Such preventive safety measures reduce the risk of
starting the blower accidentally.
Check for misalignment or binding of moving parts, breakage of parts, and any other
condition that may affect the blower’s operation. If damaged, have the blower serviced
before using. Many accidents are caused by poorly maintained blowers.

Protect your lungs. Wear a face or dust mask if the operation is dusty. Following this rule
will reduce the risk of serious personal injury.
Protect your hearing. Wear hearing protection during extended periods of operation.
Following this rule will reduce the risk of serious personal injury.
Wear heavy long pants, long sleeves, boots, and gloves. Avoid loose garments or jewelry
that could get caught in moving parts of the machine or its motor.
Do not operate the equipment while barefoot or when wearing sandals or similar
lightweight footwear. Wear protective footwear that will protect your feet and improve your
footing on slippery surfaces.
Batteries can explode in the presence of a source of ignition, such as a pilot light.
To reduce the risk of serious personal injury, never use any cordless product in the
presence of open ame. An exploded battery can propel debris and chemicals. If
exposed, ush with water immediately.
When battery pack is not in use, keep it away from other metal objects, like paper clips,
coins, keys, nails, screws or other small metal objects, that can make a connection
from one terminal to another. Shorting the battery terminals together may cause burns
or a re.
Under abusive conditions, liquid may be ejected from the battery; avoid contact. If
contact accidentally occurs, ush with water. If liquid contacts eyes, additionally seek medical
help. Liquid ejected from the battery may cause irritation or burns.
Follow all charging instructions and do not charge the battery pack or appliance
outside of the temperature range specied in the instructions. Charging improperly or at
temperatures outside of the specied range may damage the battery and increase the risk of
re.
Recharge only with the chargers specied in the operating instructions part of the manual. A
charger that is suitable for one type of battery pack may create a risk of re when used with
another battery pack.
Use appliances only with specically designated battery packs in the operating instructions
part of the manual. Use of any other battery packs may create a risk of injury and re.
Do not use a battery pack or appliance that is damaged or modied. Damaged or modied
batteries may exhibit unpredictable behavior resulting in re, explosion or risk of injury.
Do not expose a battery pack or appliance to re or excessive temperature. Exposure to re
or temperature above 265°F may cause explosion.
Do not modify or attempt to repair the appliance or the battery pack (as applicable) except as
indicated in the instructions for use and care.
Check the work area before each use. Remove all objects such as rocks, broken glass,
nails, wire, or string which can be thrown by or become entangled in the machine.
Do not point the blower tube in the direction of people or pets.
Never run the unit without the proper equipment attached. Always ensure that the blower
tube is installed.
When not in use, the blower should be stored indoors in a dry, secure place out of the
reach of children.
Keep all bystanders, children, and pets at least 50 ft. away.
When servicing a blower, use only identical replacement parts. Follow instructions
in the Maintenance section of this manual. Use of unauthorized parts or failure to follow
Maintenance Instructions may create a risk of shock or injury.
Never use the blower near res or hot ashes. Use near res or ashes can spread res and
result in serious injury and/or property damage.
Never use blower to spread chemicals, fertilizers, or any other toxic substances.
Spreading these substances could result in serious injury to the operator or bystanders.

Never place the blower on any surface, except a hard, clean surface when the engine
is running. Gravel, sand, and other debris can be picked up by the air inlet and thrown at the
operator or bystanders, causing possible serious injuries.
Save these instructions. Refer to them frequently and use them to instruct others who may
use this tool. If you loan this tool to someone else, also loan these instructions to them to
prevent misuse of the product and possible injury.

This is the safety alert symbol. It is used to alert you to potential
personal injury hazards. Obey all safety messages that follow this
symbol to avoid possible injury or death.
DANGER DANGER indicates a hazardous situation which, if not avoided, will
result in death or serious injury.
WARNING WARNING indicates a hazardous situation which, if not avoided, could
result in death or serious injury.
CAUTION CAUTION, used with the safety alert symbol, indicates a hazardous
situation which, if not avoided, will result in minor or moderate injury.

These inform the user of important information and/or instructions that could lead to equipment

WARNING The operation of any power tools can result in foreign
objects being thrown into your eyes, which can result
in severe eye damage. Before beginning power tool operation, always
wear safety goggles or safety glasses with side shields and a full face
shield when needed. We recommend a Wide Vision Safety Mask for use
over eyeglasses or standard safety glasses with side shields. Always use
eye protection which is marked to comply with ANSI Z87.1.

OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS
WARNING To reduce the risk of re, personal injury, and product damage due to
a short circuit, never immerse your tool, battery pack or charger in
uid or allow a uid to ow inside them. Corrosive or conductive uids, such as seawater,
certain industrial chemicals, and bleach or bleach-containing products, etc, can cause a short
circuit.
WARNING If any parts are damaged or missing, do not operate this product until
the parts are replaced. Use of this product with damaged or missing parts
could result in serious personal injury.
WARNING Do not attempt to modify this blower or create accessories not
recommended for use with this blower. Any such alteration or
modication is misuse and could result in a hazardous condition leading to possible serious
injury.
WARNING To prevent accidental starting that could cause serious personal
injury, always remove the battery pack from the blower when
assembling parts, making adjustments, cleaning, or performing maintenance.

Assembling the Blower Tube for
Using as a Blower
a.
Align the raised portions in the blower tube
with the grooves on the blower housing. For
your convenience alignment, there are two
marks “—” indicated on the blower tube,
each facing rightly to a raised portion inside
the tube. Push the tube onto the blower
housing as far as it could reach. (Fig.2)
b.
Rotate the blower tube clockwise to lock into
place. Pull on the tube to ensure it locks in
place securely. (Fig.2)
c.
To remove the blower tube, rotate the blower
tube counterclockwise, then pull it straight
out from the blower.

Assembling the Inator/Deator

Remove the blower tube.

Align the raised portions in the inator/
deator assembly with the grooves on the
blower housing. Push the inator/deator
assembly onto the blower housing as far as
it could reach. (Fig.3)

Rotate the inator/deator assembly
clockwise to lock into place. Pull on the
assembly to ensure it is locks in place
securely. (Fig.3)

To remove the assembly, rotate the inator/
deator assembly counterclockwise, then
pull it straight out from the blower to remove
it.

a. Align the raised portions on the air inlet with
the grooves on the inator/deator assembly,
then insert the assembly onto the blower
over the air inlet as shown. (Fig.4)
b. To remove the inator/deator assembly, pull
it away from the blower.
To Attach/Detach Battery Pack
(Fig.5)
To attach the battery pack:
Align the raised rib on the battery pack with
the grooves of the blower, and then slide the
battery pack onto the blower.
NOTICE: Make sure that the latch on the
battery pack snaps into place and that the
battery pack is secured to the blower before
beginning operation.
To detach the battery pack:
Depress the battery-release button located
on the front of the battery pack to release the
battery pack. Pull the battery pack out and
remove it from the blower.

Variable-speed Trigger Switch
Your blower is equipped with a variable-speed
trigger switch. The blower can be turned “ON”
or “OFF” by squeezing or releasing the trigger.
The air speed can be adjusted from the
minimum to maximum MPH by the pressure
you apply to the trigger. Apply more pressure
to increase the air speed and release pressure
to decrease the air speed (Fig. 6).
Lock-on Button
The lock-on button allows for continuous operation at maximum MPH without depressing the
trigger.
If you press the lock-on button while the trigger switch is depressed, the switch will be locked
in the operating position. To release the lock-on button, press and release the trigger switch
(Fig. 7).

Speed Selector
The blower is equipped with a speed selector
to select among three different variable-speed
ranges.
Push the speed selector forward to increase air
ow; push it back to decrease air ow (Fig. 8).

MAINTENANCE
WARNING To avoid serious personal injury, always remove the battery pack
from the tool when cleaning or performing any maintenance.
Service
WARNING Preventive maintenance performed by unauthorized personnel may
result in misplacing of internal wires and components which could
cause serious hazard. We recommend that all tool service be performed by a Skil Factory
Service Center or Authorized Skil Service Station.
General Maintenance
WARNING When servicing, use only identical replacement parts. Use of any other
parts could create a hazard or cause product damage.
NOTE: Periodically inspect the entire product for damaged, missing, or loose parts such as
screws, nuts, bolts, caps, etc. Tighten securely all fasteners and caps and do not operate this
product until all missing or damaged parts are replaced. Please contact customer service or
an authorized service center for assistance.
Cleaning
WARNING The tool may be cleaned most effectively with compressed dry air. Always
wear safety goggles when cleaning tools with compressed air.
Ventilation openings and switch levers must be kept clean and free of foreign matter. Do not
attempt to clean by inserting pointed objects through openings.
WARNING Certain cleaning agents and solvents damage plastic parts. Some of
these are: gasoline, carbon tetrachloride, chlorinated cleaning solvents,
ammonia and house hold detergents that contain ammonia.
Storage
Store the tool indoors in a place that is inaccessible to children. Keep away from corrosive
agents.
TROUBLESHOOTING

5 YEAR LIMITED WARRANTY- LEGAL
Chervon North America, Inc. ("Seller") warrants to the original purchaser only, that all SKIL
consumer TOOLS will be free from defects in material or workmanship for a period of ve
years from date of purchase, if original purchaser registers the product within 30 days from
purchase. BATTERIES AND CHARGERS are warranted for 2 years. Product registration
can be completed online at www.Registermyskil.com. Original purchasers should also retain
their receipt as proof of purchase. THE FIVE-YEAR WARRANTY PERIOD FOR TOOLS IS
CONDITIONED ON REGISTRATION OF THE PRODUCT WITHIN 30 DAYS OF PURCHASE.
If original purchasers do not register their product within 30 days of purchase, the foregoing
limited warranty will apply for a duration of three years for tools. All batteries and chargers will
remain under the two-year limited warranty.
Notwithstanding the foregoing, if a SKIL consumer tool is used for industrial, professional,
or commercial purposes, the foregoing warranty will apply for a duration of ninety days,
regardless of registration.
SELLER’S SOLE OBLIGATION AND YOUR EXCLUSIVE REMEDY under this Limited
Warranty and, to the extent permitted by law, any warranty or condition implied by law, shall
be the repair or replacement of parts, without charge, which are defective in material or
workmanship and which have not been misused, carelessly handled, or repaired by persons
other than Seller or Authorized Service Station. To make a claim under this Limited Warranty,
you must return the complete product, transportation prepaid, to any SKIL Factory Service
Center or Authorized Service Station. For Authorized SKIL Power Tool Service Stations,
please visit www.Registermyskil.com or call 1-877-SKIL-999 (1-877-754-5999).
THIS WARRANTY DOES NOT COVER ROUTINE MAINTENANCE PARTS AND

PERIOD, INCLUDING BLADES, TRIMMER HEADS, CHAIN BARS, SAW CHAINS, BELTS,

prendre des précautions appropriées quand elle est utilisée à proximité d’enfants ou

N’utiliser la soufante que conformément à ce qui est décrit dans ce guide d’utilisation.
N’utilisez que les attachements recommandés par le fabricant.
N’introduisez pas d’objets dans les orices de la soufeuse. N’utilisez pas la soufeuse
si l’un de ses orices est obstrué ; assurez-vous que les orices ne sont pas bloqués
par de la poussière, de la peluche, des cheveux ou un quelconque objet risquant de
réduire la circulation de l’air.
Gardez vos cheveux, des vêtements amples, vos doigts et toutes les parties de votre
corps à une distance sufsante des orices et des pièces mobiles. Les vêtements
amples, les bijoux ou les cheveux longs pourraient être attirés dans les évents.
Faites particulièrement attention lorsque vous nettoyez des escaliers.
Ne soufez pas de produits inammables ou combustibles tels que de l’essence, et
n’utilisez pas la soufeuse dans des endroits où de tels produits pourraient être pré-
sents.
Familiarisez-vous davantage avec votre soufeuse électrique. Lisez attentivement le
mode d’emploi. Découvrez les applications et les limitations de la soufeuse, ainsi que
les dangers potentiels spéciques associés à cette soufeuse. L’observation de cette
règle réduira le risque de choc électrique, d’incendie ou de blessure grave.
N’incinérez pas cet appareil, même s’il est gravement endommagé. Les piles pourraient
exploser en cas d’incendie.
Ne laissez pas la soufeuse sans surveillance quand la pile est insérée. Retirez la pile
quand la soufeuse n’est pas utilisée et avant toute opération de maintenance.
Ne risquez pas une mise en marche accidentelle. Assurez-vous que l’interrupteur est
dans la position d’arrêt (OFF) ou verrouillée avant d’insérer le bloc-piles. Le fait de
transporter des soufeuses avec le doigt sur l’interrupteur ou d’insérer le bloc-piles dans une
soufeuse lorsque l’interrupteur est en position de fonctionnement peut provoquer des acci-
dents.
Faites preuve de vigilance et de bon sens, et observez attentivement ce que vous faites
lorsque vous utilisez une soufeuse électrique. N’utilisez pas une soufeuse si vous
êtes fatigué(e) ou sous l’inuence de drogues, d’alcool ou de médicaments. Un simple
moment d’inattention pendant que vous utilisez une soufeuse pourrait causer une blessure
grave.
N’utilisez pas la soufeuse sur un toit ou dans un arbre, ou sur tout autre support ins-
table. Une assise stable sur une surface solide permet un meilleur contrôle de la souf-
euse dans des situations inattendues.
Assurez une assise stable et un bon équilibre. Ne vous penchez pas excessivement en
avant. Si vous vous penchez excessivement en avant, vous risquez de perdre l’équilibre.

Prenez toujours soin de vos pieds, de vos enfants ou de vos animaux domestiques
autour de vous lorsque vous retirez le bloc-piles de la soufeuse. Ne retirez JAMAIS
le bloc-piles lorsque vous êtes dans une position élevée. Des blessures graves seraient
possibles en cas de chute du bloc-piles.
N’utilisez pas la soufeuse si l’interrupteur de marche/arrêt ne permet pas de la mettre
sous tension/hors tension. Une soufeuse qui ne peut pas être contrôlée par son interrup-
teur est dangereuse et doit être réparée.
Déconnectez le bloc-piles de la soufeuse avant d’effectuer des réglages, de changer
des accessoires ou de ranger la soufeuse. De telles mesures de sécurité préventives
réduisent le risque de démarrage accidentel de la soufeuse.
Assurez-vous que les pièces en mouvement sont bien alignées et qu’elles ne se
coincent pas, qu’il n’y a pas de pièces cassées ou qu’il n’existe aucune autre situation
pouvant affecter le fonctionnement de la soufeuse. Si vous constatez des dommages,
faites réparer la soufeuse avant de vous en servir à nouveau. De nombreux accidents
sont causés par des soufeuses mal entretenues.
Protégez vos poumons. Portez un masque facial ou une protection contre la poussière
si l’opération est poussiéreuse. L’observation de cette règle réduira le risque de blessure
grave.
Protégez votre ouïe. Portez des protecteurs d’oreilles pendant des périodes de fonc-
tionnement prolongées. L’observation de cette règle réduira le risque de blessure grave.
Portez des pantalons robustes, des chemises à manches longues, des bottes et des
gants. Évitez de porter des vêtements amples ou des bijoux qui risqueraient d’être attrapés
dans des pièces mobiles de la machine ou de son moteur.
Ne vous servez pas de cet appareil si vous êtes pieds nus ou si vous portez des san-
dales ou des chaussures légères similaires. Portez des chaussures de sécurité qui proté-
geront vos pieds et vous donneront un meilleur appui sur des surfaces glissantes.
Les piles peuvent exploser en présence d’une source d’inammation comme une
veilleuse. Pour réduire le risque de blessures personnelles graves, n’utilisez jamais de
produit sans l en présence d’une amme vive. En explosant, une pile peut projeter des
débris et des agents chimiques. En cas d’exposition, lavez immédiatement la partie affectée
de votre corps avec de l’eau.
Lorsque le bloc-piles n’est pas utilisé, gardez-le à une distance sufsante des autres
objets en métal, comme des trombones, pièces de monnaie, clés, clous, vis ou autres
petits objets en métal qui pourraient faire une connexion entre une borne et une autre.
Le court-circuitage des bornes d’une pile pourrait causer des brûlures ou un incendie.
Dans des conditions d’utilisation abusives, du liquide pourrait être éjecté de la pile ;
évitez tout contact. En cas de contact accidentel, lavez avec de l’eau. En cas de contact de
liquide avec les yeux, consultez un professionnel de santé. Tout liquide éjecté d’une pile peut
causer de l’irritation ou des brûlures.
Suivez toutes les instructions relatives à la charge et ne chargez pas le bloc-piles ou
l’appareil électrique en dehors de la plage de température indiquée dans les instruc-
tions. Une charge dans des conditions inappropriées ou à des températures en dehors de la
plage spéciée pourrait endommager la pile et augmenter le risque d’incendie.
Rechargez seulement avec des chargeurs spéciés dans la section du mode d’emploi consa-
crée aux instructions d’utilisation. Un chargeur qui est approprié pour un type de bloc-piles
pourrait créer un risque d’incendie quand il est utilisé avec un autre bloc-piles.
N’utilisez des outils électriques qu’avec des blocs-piles désignés spéciquement dans la
section du mode d’emploi consacrée aux instructions d’utilisation. L’emploi de tout autre bloc-
piles risquerait de causer des blessures et un incendie.
N’utilisez pas un bloc-piles ou un appareil électrique qui est endommagé ou a été modié.
Des piles endommagées ou modiées peuvent se comporter de façon imprévisible et causer
un incendie, une explosion ou des blessures.

N’exposez pas un bloc-piles ou un appareil électrique à un feu ou à une température exces-
sive. L’exposition à un feu ou à une température supérieure à 130° C / 265° F pourrait causer
une explosion.
Ne modiez pas et ne tentez pas de réparer l’outil électrique ou le bloc-piles, sauf conformé-
ment à ce qui est indiqué dans les instructions d’utilisation et d’entretien.
Inspectez la zone de travail avant chaque utilisation. Retirez-en tous les objets tels que
les gros cailloux, le verre brisé, les clous, les ls métalliques ou autres ls qui pourraient être
projetés par la machine ou être happés par celle-ci.
Ne pointez pas le tube de la soufeuse en direction de personnes ou d’animaux domes-
tiques.
Ne faites jamais fonctionner l’appareil si les équipements nécessaires n’y sont pas

tion de pièces de rechange non autorisées ou le non-respect des instructions de maintenance
pourrait créer un risque de choc électrique ou de blessure.
N’utilisez jamais la soufeuse à proximité de ammes vives ou de cendres chaudes.
Son utilisation à proximité de ammes vives ou de cendres pourrait propager des incendies et
causer des blessures graves et/ou des dommages aux biens.
Ne vous servez jamais de la soufeuse pour répandre des produits chimiques, des
engrais ou de quelconques autres substances toxiques. La projection de telles subs-
tances pourrait causer des blessures graves à l’opérateur ou à d’autres personnes présentes
à proximité.
Ne placez jamais la soufeuses sur toute surface autre qu’une surface dure et propre
pendant que le moteur est en marche. Du gravier, du sable et d’autres débris peuvent être
aspirés dans l’orice d’admission d’air et projetés vers l’opérateur ou d’autres personnes pré-
sentes à proximité, ce qui pourrait causer des blessures graves.
Conservez ces instructions. Consultez-les fréquemment et utilisez-les pour donner les
instructions nécessaires à d’autres personnes qui peuvent utiliser cet outil. Si vous prêtez cet
outil à quelqu’un d’autre, donnez-lui également ces instructions pour éviter toute utilisation
