1) Water / Moisture
The apparatus should be protected from moisture and rain and can not be used near
water; for example near a bathtub, a kitchen sink, a swimming pool, etc.
2) Heat
The apparatus should be located away from heat sources such as radiators, stoves or
other appliances that produce heat. Don not use it when maximum ambient tempera-
ture is higher than 40°C.
3) Ventilation
Do not block areas of ventilation opening. Failure to do could result in re. Always
install according to the manufacturer’s instructions.
4) Object and Liquid Entry
Objects do not fall into and liquids are not spilled into the inside of the apparatus for
safety.
5) Power Cord and Plug
Protect power cord from being walked on or pinched particularly at plugs, convenience
receptacles, and the point where they exit from the apparatus. Do not defeat the safety
purpose of the polarized or grounding-type plug. A polarized plug has two poles; a
grounding-type plug has two poles and a third grounding terminal. The third prong is
provided for your safety. If the provided plug does not t into your outlet, refer to an
electrician for replacement.
6) Power Supply
The apparatus should be connected to the power supply only of the type as marked on
the apparatus or described in the manual. Failure to do could result in damage to the
product and possibly the user. Unplug this apparatus during lightning storms or when
unused for long periods of time.
7) Fuse
To avoid the risk of re and damage to the unit, use only the type of fuse described
in the manual. Before replacing the fuse, make sure the device is switched o and
unplugged.
8) DMX connection
When use DMX controller, please make sure that there is no interference sources (e.g.
intercom, high frequency radio waves and radiation source).
9) Cleaning
Clean only with a dry cloth. Do not use any solvents such as benzene or alcohol.
10) Servicing
Do not implement any servicing other than those means described in the manual. Refer
all servicing to qualied service personnel only. Only use accessories/attachments or
parts recommended by the manufacturer.

1. INTRODUCTION
Thank you for purchasing our LIGHTBLASTER 616 RGB. Enjoy your new equipment and
make sure to read this manual carefully before operation.
This user manual is made to provide both an overview of controls, as well as informa-
tion on how to use them.
1.1. Unpacking
Your LIGHTBLASTER 616 RGB was carefully packed to ensure safe transport. Despite
this, we recommend you to carefully examine the package and its contents for any
signs of physical damage, which can occur during transport. Each unit has the following
parts:

f1 x DMX Cable (3-Pin XLR Male to Female)
f1 x Power cord (EU Plug - PowerCon)
f1 x Brackets for xing the device (oor, wall, ceiling, truss).

ATTENTION: Packaging cartons are not a toys! Keep out of reach of chil-
dren!!! Keep in a safe place the original packaging material for future use.
If anything damaged during transport, notify the shipper immediately and keep the
packing material for inspection. Again, please save the carton and all packing materials.
If the xture must be returned to the manufacturer, it is important that it is returned in
the original manufacturer box and packing. Please do not take any action without rst
contacting us.

2. OVERVIEW
LIGHTBLASTER 616 RGB is a high brightness strobo & wash light that combines reli-
ability, lifespan, and brilliance of the RGB 3in1 LEDs with the low power consumption of
LED technology. Beam angle is 110° but, thanks to the supplied barndoor (removable),
it is possible to reduce it to 0°. Its light source consists of 616 high-brightness long
lifetime RGB 3in1 0.5W LEDs. Electronic dimming control and Strobo function oer,
respectively, 5 dierent curves and 5 dierent strobo eects, to adapt this xture to any
type of use. The internal temperature is controlled by sensors that, in case of overheat-
ing, lower power to 50% and adjust cooling fan speed. The result is a powerful yet ex-
tremely silent strobo-light. Not only, but the robust ABS housing makes it lightweight,
durable and with an excellent value in its market range.

4. INSTALLATION
SOUNDSATION LIGHTBLASTER 616 RGB can be installed on the oor, on the wall, ceil-
ing or on a truss.
WARNINGS:
A. It’s required the use of a safety wire (LW3-76A or LW4-76A sold separately) and
truss adapters ( SLH/SQC Series sold separately) if the product is hanging on a
wall, ceiling or on a truss.
B. Never leave the product swinging freely.
C. If the product is hanging on a wall, a ceiling or a truss, make sure that the
installation gear and / or the truss can hold a minimum load of 10 times the
weight of the device.

5. MAINS CONNECTIONS
Connect the device to the mains with the supplied power cord. When connecting the
power supply, please check that the supply voltage and frequency are the same as
indicated for the device. The correspondence of the wires is as follows:

The earth must to be connected! Pay attention to the safety! Before taking
into operation for the rst time, the installation has to be approved by an
expert.
6. DMX CONNECTION
DMX xtures are designed to receive data through a serial Daisy Chain. A Daisy Chain
connection is where the DATA OUT of one xture connects to the DATA IN of the next
xture. The order in which the xtures are connected is not important and has no eect
on how a controller communicates to each xture. Use an order that provides for the
easiest and most direct cabling.

Connect xtures using shielded 2-conductor twisted pair cable with 3-pin XLR male to
female connectors. The shield connection is pin 1, while pin 2 is Data Negative (S-), and
pin 3 is Data positive (S+).
CAUTION: Wires must not come into contact with each other; otherwise the
xtures will not work at all, or will not work properly.
6.1. DMX Terminator
DMX is a resilient communication protocol, however errors still occasionally occur.
In order to prevent electrical noise from disturbing and corrupting the DMX control

signals, a good habit is to connect DMX output of last xture in the chain to a DMX
terminator, especially over long signal cable runs.
The DMX terminator is simply an XLR connector with a 120Ω (ohm), 1/4 Watt resistor
connected across Signal (-) and Signal (+), respectively, pins 2 and 3, which is then
plugged into the output socket on last projector in the chain. The connections are
illustrated below.

Complimentary signal cable can transmits signals to 20 unit xtures at most.
Signal amplier is a must to connect more xtures.

Fuse holder with F5A / 250V fuse (5 x 20 mm). In case of fuse burn, to prevent the risk
of re and damaging the unit, please use only a spare of the recommended fuse type
as described. Before replacing the fuse, make sure the unit turned o and disconnected
from the AC outlet
3) POWER IN SOCKET
Plug the power-cord into an AC socket properly congured for your particular model.
4) DMX INPUT
Male 3-pin XLR sockets for connection to a DMX control device
5) DMX OUTPUT
Female 3-pin XLR socket for sending the DMX control signal.

1) Menu Button
This button allows to put in stand-by the control panel and to escape from a selected
function without any saving.
2) UP Button
Using this button, it is possible to scroll-up the device’s functions and increase the
function’s value.
3) DOWN Button
Using this button, it is possible to scroll-down the device’s functions and decrease the
function’s value.
4) ENTER Button
This button allows access to a function menu and/or to save a new parameter value.
5) 4 x 7 SEGMENTS display
It shows the current function’s name or function’s value.

9.1. Functions description
All the LIGHTBLASTER 616 RGB functions are selectable by using the [UP]/[DOWN]
buttons on the control panel. For each function, by pressing the [ENTER] button access-
es the modication of the value which will be made again using the [UP] / [DOWN] but-
tons. The [MENU] button will allow you to return to the main function menu. Once back
in the main menu, the [MENU] button will function as the [UP] button.
Below is an explanation of the device’s functions.
1) DMX CHANNEL mode 10CH and ADDRESS SELECTION
This function allows you to select the DMX address in 10CH mode.
The display shows . The range of this parameter is d001 ÷d512.
2) DMX CHANNEL mode 5CH and ADDRESS SELECTION
This function allows you to select the DMX address in 10CH mode.
The display shows . The range of this parameter is d001 ÷d512.
3) Red color intensity (DIMMER)
By selecting this function you can adjust the intensity of the Red color.
The display shows . The range of this parameter is r000 ÷r255.
4) GreeN color intensity (DIMMER)
By selecting this function you can adjust the intensity of the Green color.
The display shows . The range of this parameter is g000 ÷g255.
5) BLUE color intensity (DIMMER)
By selecting this function you can adjust the intensity of the Blue color.
The display shows . The range of this parameter is b000 ÷b255.
6) Ptreset Colors
This function allows you to select one of the 25 preset colors.
The display shows . The range of this parameter is Pr01 ÷Pr25

By selecting this function you can adjust the speed of the strobe pulses.
The display shows . The range of this parameter is F000 ÷F255.
8) Full color fade SPEED
By selecting this function you can adjust the speed of the fades between the dierent
colors. The display shows . The range of this parameter is C000 ÷C255.
9) Full color JUMP SPEED
By selecting this function it is possible to adjust the rotation (jump) speed between the
dierent colors. The display shows . The range of this parameter is J000 ÷
J255.
10) Microphone sensitivity in “Sound“mode
By selecting this function activates the “Sound” mode and, it is possible to adjust the
sensitivity of the integrated microphone. The display shows . The range of this
parameter is S000 ÷S255.

11) TEMPERATURE and PROTECTION
By selecting this function, the display shows . This function can be
activated or deactivated (On / O). When this function is activated (On), it means that
when internal temperature of the device excedees 80° ,the power consumption will be
reduced of 50%. When the temperature drops below 58 ° the power consumption will
be 100%. If the function is deactivated (O), the device will always have 100% of power
consumption. This function is a protection at high temperatures when necessary.
12) dimmer curve selection
This function gives the possibility to select one of the 5 dimmer curves available in the
device. The display shows . The range of this parameter is dr-0 ÷dr-4.

9.2. MASTER/SLAVE Control Mode
When using this control mode, it is possible to connect several units together and
operate them in synchronized mode. Use DMX cables to connect two or more units
together from the DMX OUT connector to the DMX IN connector. The rst unit is the
MASTER one and all the other units connected will be SLAVE
To set the rst unit as MASTER, select a function other than or
in the functions menu.
All other units connected to the MASTER must be set with functions or
to be congured as SLAVE.
10. DMX CHANNEL MODES
This device has two DMX channel modes (5CH and 10CH). For the DMX channel mode
selection, please refer to “1) DMX CHANNEL mode 10CH and ADDRESS SELECTION” on
page 13 and to “2) DMX CHANNEL mode 5CH and ADDRESS SELECTION” on page
13.
