Kauf von NoCut®. Sie haben sich damit für ein Qualitätsprodukt
entschieden, das bei bestimmungsgemäßer Verwendung eine lange
Lebensdauer garantiert. Diese Betriebsanleitung informiert Sie über
den richtigen und sicheren Einsatz. Fragen Sie Ihren SpanSet-Fach-
händler oder SpanSet-Anwendungstechniker soweit Sie weitere
Hinweise benötigen. Neben einem großen Anschlagmittel-Sortiment
finden Sie unter www.spanset.de das gesamte Hebetechnik-Sortiment
sowie weitere Produkte zur Ladungssicherungstechnik und zur
Persönlichen Schutzausrüstung. Ihre SpanSet-Unternehmensgruppe.
NoCut®ist für die gewerbliche Nutzung konzipiert. Nutzen Sie
NoCut®erst dann, wenn Sie die Betriebsanleitung vollständig
gelesen und verstanden haben! Beachten und befolgen Sie zudem die
Betriebsanleitung des Anschlagmittels, welches Sie zusammen mit
NoCut®einsetzen sowie die allgemeinen Regeln1zum Heben von
Lasten. Die Betriebsanleitung ist mit dem Produkt weiterzugeben. Bei
Nichtbeachtung sind schwere Unfälle mit Verletzungs- oder
gar Todesfolge möglich!

Hinweise kann zum Verlust der Schutzwirkung führen! Schwere

1 Funktionsbeschreibung
NoCut®wird bestimmungsgemäß zum Schutz textiler Anschlagmittel
vor scharfen Kanten beim Heben von Lasten durch den Anschläger
(befähigte Person) eingesetzt und ist in zwei Bauformen verfügbar:
8NoCut®sleeve Gewebter Schutzschlauch zum Aufziehen auf das
Anschlagmittel mit beidseitig gleich hohem Schnittschutzvermögen.
9NoCut®pad Schnittschutzplatte zum Befestigen am Anschlagmittel
mit einseitiger Schnittschutzwirkung.
NoCut®ist an drei eingewebten blauen Kennfäden zu erkennen.
Jede Veränderung an NoCut®ist verboten. Die Produkte der NoCut®-
Baureihe werden aus Hochleistungsfasern gewebt.
2 Sicherheitshinweise u. Handhabung
Achten Sie darauf, dass das Anschlagen von Lasten nur durch unter-
wiesene Personen (befähigte Person) erfolgt.
Nutzen Sie NoCut®ausschließlich in Kombination mit SpanSet-An-
schlagmitteln oder Anschlagmittel gleicher Spezifikation.
- Es ist verboten, NoCut®für andere als die bestimmungsgemäße
Anwendung einzusetzen. Vermeiden Sie grundsätzlich Belastungen,
die über die mit der Funktion von Nocut®verbundene Belastung
hinausgehen.
- Die Verwendung von NoCut®in Verbindung mit Chemikalien ist nur
nach Abstimmung mit dem Hersteller erlaubt. Notwendige Angaben
hierzu sind: Chemikalie, Konzentration, Temperatur u. Verweildauer.

- Stellen Sie vor der Nutzung sicher, dass der von NoCut®überdeckte
Teil des Anschlagmittels unbeschädigt ist.
- 16 Nutzen Sie NoCut®nicht außerhalb eines Temperaturbereiches
von - 40°C bis + 60 °C.
- Beachten Sie beim Einsatz von NoCut die Regeln der Berufsgenos-
senschaften (z.B. BGR 500, Kapitel 2.8) u. bewahren Sie die NoCut®-
Betriebsanleitung auf.
3 Betrieb von NoCut®
3.1 Montage von NoCut®am Anschlagmittel
Beachten Sie in diesem Zusammenhang auch 3.3 „Auswahl der pas-
senden Größe“ und 3.4 „Anordnung an der Last“. Sollte das Anschlag-
mittel bereits werksseitig unverlierbar mit NoCut verbunden sein, so
entfällt die Notwendigkeit zur Montage.
10 So montieren Sie NoCut® sleeve
I. Führen Sie das Anschlagmittel in eine der Schlauchöffnungen ein.
II. Ziehen Sie den Schutzschlauch soweit über das Anschlagmittel,
bis seine Mitte das Anschlagmittel vor der späteren scharfkantigen
Belastung schützt.
Besonders bei langen Schutzschläuchen kann dies schwergän-
gig sein! Führen Sie in einem solchen Fall zunächst ein leichtes
Band oder Seil durch den Schutzschlauch, befestigen Sie dies am
Anschlagmittelende, sodann können Sie mit Hilfe des Bandes / Seiles
den Schutzschlauch auf das Anschlagmittel aufziehen.
11 Jetzt ist der Schutzschlauch aufgezogen. Sie können jetzt die scharf-
kantige Last anschlagen.
12 So montieren Sie NoCut®pad
I. Beim Anschlagen mit Rundschlingen ist vorab zu entscheiden ob ein
oder beide Stränge der Rundschlinge geschützt werden Bitte auch 3.4
Anordnung der Last berücksichtigen.
II a. Gurtband durch Rahmenschnalle führen, stramm ziehen und mit

Klettband fixieren. Fertig!
II b. Dreistegschnalle (1) anwinkeln und in fixierte Rahmenschnalle (2)
einführen, Gurtband stramm ziehen. Fertig!
13 Die Schutzplatte ist jetzt fixiert. Sie können jetzt die scharfkantige
Last anschlagen.
Die NoCut®pad Ausführungen mit 45 u. 75 mm werden aufgrund
ihrer geringen Breite zum Fixieren am Anschlagmittel mit
Flausch-/Klettband ausgerüstet.
Mit zunehmender Länge sollten NoCut®pads mit zusätzlichen
Fixierschlaufen gegen Verdrehen gesichert werden. Nur so ist
das Anschlagmittel gegen die schneidende Wirkung der scharfen
Kante geschützt. Die Fixierschlaufen dürfen nicht an der scharfen
Kante anliegen, sollten aber in direkter Nähe der Kante positioniert
werden.
20 So montieren Sie Fixierschlaufen für NoCut®pad
I. Fädeln Sie NoCut®pad durch die Gurtbandschlaufe (1) bis diese auf
dem Schnittschutzgewebe zum Liegen kommt.
Il. Fixierungsschlaufen werden nach Prinzip der Befestigungselemente 12
am Anschlagmittel befestigt.
3.2 Kantenschärfe
Kantenradien ≥1 mm: Liegen Kantenradien ab 1 mm vor, können Sie
NoCut®entsprechend dieser Betriebsanleitung einsetzen. Kantenra-
dien < 1 mm: Bei Kantenradien < 1 mm muss der Hebevorgang mit
großer Sorgfalt geplant und durchgeführt werden, damit das An-
schlagmittel unverletzt bleibt. Kontaktieren Sie in diesem Fall immer
vor dem Einsatz des Produktes Ihren Händler oder SpanSet zwecks
technischer Unterstützung und führen Sie unbedingt einen Hebetest
(Heben und Verfahren in geringer Höhe) durch.
Bitte beachten Sie die auf der ausklappbaren Seite vorhandenen
Tabelle 18 , die durch die nachstehende Legende definiert wird:

Die durch „x“ gekennzeichneten Werte in der Tabelle 18
beziehen sich auf den kleinsten Radius, an dem das im
Tabellenkopf genannten Produkt der NoCut® Baureihe noch eingesetzt
werden darf. Größere Kantenradien werden durch die jeweilige
Kennzeichnung mit eingeschlossen.
Nutzen Sie NoCut®niemals an Kanten, an denen scharfe Grate
hervorstehen oder an Kanten, die ungleichmäßig geformt sind
(z.B. Zähnungen, Stufen, Auskerbungen und Absplitterungen).
3.3 Auswahl der passenden Größe
Wählen Sie die Größe von NoCut®passend für Ihr Anschlagmittel
aus. Das Anschlagmittel darf in seinem Querschnitt nicht eingeschnürt
werden. Berücksichtigen Sie auch, dass sich die Auflagenbreite der
Rundschlinge unter Last vergrößert! Bei der Anordnung von NoCut®
über beide Stränge einer Rundschlinge muss gewährleistet sein, dass
beide Stränge nebeneinander Platz finden, sich nicht überkreuzen und
nicht aufeinander liegen 14 .
3.4 Anordnung an der Last
Legen Sie NoCut®nicht verdreht an die Last an. Sorgen Sie bei Nutzung
von NoCut®pad dafür, dass das Anschlagmittel in seiner vollen Breite
unterlegt ist und dass das Anschlagmittel während des Hebevorganges

nicht auf die scharfe Kante der Last abrutschen kann. Positionieren
Sie NoCut®so am Anschlagmittel und an der Last, dass es während
des Hebevorganges keiner Zugbelastung ausgesetzt ist. Bei Kantenra-
dien von ≥1mm ist ein Setzverhalten von höchstens 30mm zwischen
Last u. NoCut®zulässig. Bei kleineren Radien ist der Hebevorgang
so vorzubereiten, dass sich NoCut®und die Last beim Anheben nicht
gegeneinander verschieben. Im Einsatz kann es durch eine Entspannung
der Gewebestruktur von NoCut®zu einer Verdichtung des Gewebes und
damit einer Verkürzung der Schlauchlänge kommen. Beim Drehen und
Wenden ist deshalb mit einer Längenzugabe zu arbeiten.
Das Gleiten der scharfen Kante in NoCut®kann dabei zum
Verlust der Schutzwirkung führen. Lastabstürze mit der Gefahr
schwerer Personen- bzw. Materialschäden drohen.
3.5 Wenden von scharfkantigen Lasten
Ausgerüstet mit NoCut®sleeve-Schutzschläuchen eignen sich 1- und
2-lagige SpanSet Hebebänder zum Wenden scharfkantiger Lasten (z.B.
Coils). Beim Anheben muss der Schutzschlauch fest an der Kante der
Last anliegen und sich das Hebeband frei im Schutzschlauch bewegen
können. Beim Wenden um 90° darf der Schutzschlauch nur max. 2/3 und
beim Wenden um 180° max. 1/2 der reinen Bandlänge zwischen den
Schlaufen betragen. Bitte auch 3.4 Anordnung der Last berücksichtigen.

4 Überprüfung, Pflege, Reparatur u. Außerbetriebnahme
NoCut®muss vor jedem Einsatz auf augenfällige Mängel und gefähr-
liche Verunreinigungen überprüft werden. Stellen Sie Mängel fest, die
die Sicherheit beeinträchtigen, müssen dürfen Sie NoCut®nicht mehr
verwenden. NoCut®darf nicht mehr verwendet werden, wenn Sie
einen der folgenden Mängel feststellen:
- Spuren von Hitzeeinwirkung
- Schäden durch Einwirkung aggressiver Stoffe wie z.B. Säuren oder

Laugen
- Verunreinigungen durch aushärtende Stoffe wie Lacke, Klebstoffe etc.
- Ganz oder teilweise durchtrennte Garne
- Einschnitte/ Löcher/ Quetschstellen
- Fadenverschiebungen im Gewebe/ ungleichmäßig dichtes Gewebe
- Verhärtungen/ plattenartige Oberflächenverdichtung
- ungleichmäßig breites Gewebe
- NoCut®pad: defekte Nähte/ in ihrer Funktion beeinträchtigte Befesti-
gungselemente
Reparaturen darf nur der Hersteller oder eine von ihm beauftragte
Person durchführen. Reperaturen beschränken sich bei NoCut auf
die Befestigungselemente des NoCut®pad. Ist das schnitthemmende
Gewebe von NoCut®beschädigt, ist eine Reparatur nicht möglich.
NoCut®darf dann nicht mehr verwendet werden. NoCut®kann im
Hausmüll entsorgt werden, soweit das Gewebe nicht durch z.B. Öle,
Betriebsstoffe verunreinigt ist. Ist das Gewebe durch Chemikalien
verunreinigt, ist NoCut®als Sondermüll zu entsorgen.
5 Lagerung u. Reinigung
Bewahren Sie NoCut®kühl, trocken, gut belüftet und frei von chemischen
Einflüssen auf. NoCut®nur an der Luft trocknen. Zur Beschleunigung der
Trocknung nicht direkt erwärmen, sondern ggf. in einem warmen, stark
belüfteten Raum trocknen. Entfernen Sie anhaftende Fremdkörper wie z.B.
Metallspäne, Sand etc. NoCut®dazu ggf. mit Wasser spülen.
6 Wissenwertes u. Schulung
NoCut®wird insbesondere zum Schutz von Rundschlingen nach DIN EN
1492-2 u. Hebebändern nach DIN EN 1492-1 gegen scharfkantige Lasten
eingesetzt. Der Herstellungsprozess von NoCut®sleeve u. NoCut®pad ist
DIN EN ISO 9001 zertifiziert. Beachten Sie die lokalen Arbeitsschutzvor-
schriften für den Einsatz von textilen Anschlagmitteln, wie z.B. die Regeln
der Berufsgenossenschaften in Deutschland. Weitere Informationen und
die Bezugsquellen der Regelwerke erhalten Sie bei Ihrem SpanSet-Fach-
händler oder direkt bei SpanSet. NoCut®wird aus Hochleistungsfasern

1 Description of function
NoCut®has been designed to protect textile lifting equipment from
sharp edges when hoisting loads using riggers (authorised personnel)
and is available in two designs:
8NoCut®sleeve (a woven protective sleeve) to place around lifting
equipment with a need for cut protection on both sides.
9NoCut®pad (cut protection discs) to affix to lifting equipment with a
need for cut protection on one side only.
NoCut®can be identified by the three blue marker yarns woven into
the material. NoCut®must not be modified in any way. Products from
the NoCut®range are woven from high-performance fibres.
2 Safety information and handling
Ensure that loads are only hoisted by people trained to do so (author-
ised personnel).
NoCut®should only be used in conjunction with SpanSet lifting equip-
ment or lifting equipment with identical specifications.
- NoCut®must not be used for purposes other than those specified.
All loads which exceed the load-bearing function of Nocut®must be
expressly avoided.
- NoCut®may only be used in conjunction with chemicals in cases
where express permission has been granted by the manufacturer.
Key information includes: chemicals, concentration, temperature
and exposure time.
- Prior to use, ensure that the part of the lifting accessory covered
with NoCut®is undamaged.
- 16 Do not use NoCut®in temperatures below - 40°C and above + 60 °C.
- When using NoCut®, adhere to the professional association’s regu-

lations (e.g. BGR 500, chapter 2.8) and retain the NoCut®Operation
Manual.
3 Operating NoCut®
3.1 Attaching NoCut®to the lifting equipment
3.3 “Selecting the correct size” and 3.4 “Aligning the load” should also
be adhered to here. If NoCut has already been affixed to the lifting
accessory in the factory, then there is no need to attach it.
10 To affix the NoCut®sleeve
I. Insert the lifting accessory into one of the sleeve openings.
II. Pull the protective sleeve over the lifting accessory until the middle
of NoCut protects the lifting accessory from sharp-edged loads to be
applied later.
It may be a tight fit in the case of long protective sleeves! If
this is the case, put a light band or rope through the protective
sleeve and affix it to the end of the lifting accessory, so that you can
then use it to pull the protective sleeve over the lifting accessory.
11 The protective sleeve is now in place. You are now able to attach
the sharp-edged load.
12 To affix the NoCut®pad
I. When using round slings, it must be decided in advance whether one
or both round sling cables need to be protected. Please also see 3.4
Aligning the load.
II a. Guide the strap through the rectangular buckle, pull tight, and
affix with the Velcro® tape. Done!
II b. Bend the three-piece buckle (1) and insert into the fixed rectangu-
lar buckle (2); pull the strap tight. Done!
13 The protective pad is now affixed. You are now able to attach the
sharp-edged load.
The 45 mm and 75 mm versions of the NoCut®pad feature a
Velcro®strap to aid fixing to the lifting accessory due to their

small width.
In the case of increasing lengths, NoCut®pads should also be
secured with additional fixing loops to prevent rotation. This is
the only way to guarantee that the lifting accessory is protected from
the cutting effect of the sharp edge. The fixing loops must not come
into contact with the sharp edge, but should be positioned in the
direct vicinity of the edge.
20 To affix the fixing loops for NoCut®pad
I. Thread the NoCut®pad through the strap loop (1) until it is lying on
the cut protection fabric.
Il. Fixing loops are to be affixed onto the lifting material in line with
the principle of the fixing elements 12 .
3.2 Edge sharpness
Edge radii ≥1 mm:If there are edge radii of above 1 mm, NoCut®can
be used in line with this Operation Manual. Edge radii < 1 mm:In the
case of edge radii < 1 mm, the hoisting procedure must be planned
and executed with great care to ensure that the lifting equipment is
not damaged. Always contact your retailer or SpanSet for technical
support prior to using the product in this case and carry out a lift test
(slight lifting and moving) prior to use.

radius for which the product from the NoCut®range named in
the head of the table can be used. Larger edge radii are included in
the respective labelling.
Never use NoCut®on edges with sharp ridges or on edges that
are uneven (e.g. perforations, steps, notches and splinters).
3.3 Selecting the correct size
Choose the correct size of NoCut®for your lifting equipment. The
cross-section of the lifting accessory must not be constricted. Also
note that the width of the round sling will increase when subjected to
loads! When affixing NoCut®over both the cables of a round sling, it
must be ensured that there is enough space for both cables, so that
they do not cross over or overlap 14 .
3.4 Aligning the load
Do not apply NoCut®to the load if it is twisted. When using NoCut®pads,
ensure that they lie beneath the full width of the lifting accessory and that
the lifting accessory cannot slip onto the load’s sharp edgeduring the lifting
process. Position NoCut®on the lifting accessory and load so that it is not
subjected to tensile loading during the lifting process. In the case of edge
radii ≥1mm, a settlement of maximum 30 mm is permitted between the
load and NoCut®. In the case of smaller radii, the lifting process is to be
prepared so that NoCut®and the load cannot slide against once another
during hoisting. The woven structure of NoCut®may relax during use leading
to a thickening of the fabric and a resulting fall in sleeve length. As such, an
excess length should be used in the case of rotating and turning.
If the sharp edge slides into NoCut®it can lead to a loss of the
protective function. Falling loads pose a serious danger to
people and materials.

3.5 Rotating sharp-edged loads
When fitted with NoCut®sleeve protective sleeves, 1- and 2-layer
SpanSet lifting straps can be used to rotate sharp-edged loads (e.g.
coils). When it comes to lifting, the protective sleeve must be securely
fastened to the edge of the load and the lifting strap must be able to
move freely within the protective sleeve. When rotating by 90°, the
protective sleeve must only cover max. 2/3 of the pure strap length
between the loops, and when rotating by 180°, max. 1/2. Please also
refer to 3.4 Aligning the load.

4 Inspections, maintenance, repairs and decommissioning
NoCut®must be inspected for visible defects and dangerous contami-
nants prior to every use. If a defect is identified that may compromise
safety, NoCut®must not be used again. NoCut®must not be used if
one of the following defects is identified:
- Signs of heat impact
- Damage caused by aggressive substances such as acids and alkalis
- Contaminants from setting substances such as paint, adhesives etc.
- Partially or fully split yarns
- Cuts / holes / pinch points
- Fibre movement in the fabric / uneven fabric thickness
- Hardenings / crust-like surface compacting
- Uneven fabric width
- NoCut®pad: Defect seams / fixing elements with limited function
Repairs must only be carried out by the manufacturer or someone they
have commissioned For NoCut, repairs are limited to the fixing elements
of the NoCut®pad. If the cut-proof fabric on NoCut®is damaged a repair
is not possible. In this case, NoCut®may no longer be used. NoCut®can
be disposed of as domestic rubbish, insofar as the fabric has not been
contaminated with oils, operating materials etc. If the fabric has been con-
taminated with chemicals, NoCut®must be disposed of as special waste.

5 Storage and cleaning
Store NoCut®in a cool, dry and well-ventilated place, away from
chemical influences. NoCut®should only be air-dried. Do not heat
directly to accelerate drying; instead dry in a warm, well-ventilated
room. Remove foreign bodies stuck to the fabric of NoCut®, e.g. metal
cuttings, sand etc., or rinse with water if necessary.
6 Useful information and training
NoCut®is mainly used for the protection of round slings in line with DIN
EN 1492-2 and lifting straps in line with DIN EN 1492-1 from sharp-edged
loads. The manufacturing process for the NoCut®sleeve and NoCut®
pad is certified in line with DIN EN ISO 9001. When using textile lifting
equipment, consult the local occupational health and safety regulations
as well as the regulations of the professional associations in Germany.

1 Description du fonctionnement
NoCut®est destiné à protéger les dispositifs d’arrimage en textile
contre les arêtes coupantes lors du levage de charges par l’opérateur
(personne autorisée) et existe en deux versions :
8NoCut®sleeve Gaine de protection tissée à glisser sur le dispositif
d’arrimage avec une protection anticoupure égale des deux côtés.
9NoCut®pad Plaque de protection anticoupure à fixer au dispositif
d’arrimage avec une protection anticoupure d’un seul côté.
NoCut®se reconnaît aux trois fils bleus caractéristiques intégrés dans
le tissage. Toute modification de NoCut®est interdite. Les produits de
la série NoCut®sont tissés à partir de fibres haute performance.

2 Consignes de sécurité et utilisation
Veillez à ce que l’arrimage des charges soit uniquement effectué par
des personnes qualifiées (personnes autorisées). Utilisez uniquement
NoCut®en combinaison avec des dispositifs d’arrimage SpanSet ou
des dispositifs d’arrimage ayant les mêmes spécifications.
- Il est interdit d’utiliser NoCut®à d’autres fins que l’utilisation
conforme. Évitez toujours les sollicitations dépassant les sollicita-
tions liées à la fonction de NoCut®.
- L’utilisation de NoCut®en combinaison avec des produits chimiques
est uniquement autorisée avec l’accord préalable du fabricant. Infor-
mations nécessaires : produit chimique, concentration, température
et durée d’utilisation.
- Avant l’utilisation, vérifiez si la partie du dispositif d’arrimage
couverte par NoCut®n’est pas endommagée.
- 16 N’utilisez pas NoCut®en dehors d’une plage de température
comprise entre - 40°C et + 60 °C.
- Lors de l’utilisation de NoCut®, respectez les règles de la caisse de
prévoyance contre les accidents (par ex. BGR 500, chapitre 2.8) et
conservez la notice d’utilisation de NoCut®.
3 Utilisation de NoCut®
3.1 Montage de NoCut®sur le dispositif d’arrimage
Respectez également les points 3.3 „ « Choix de la taille adaptée » et
3.4 „« Positionnement sur la charge ». Si le dispositif d’arrimage est
déjà indissociablement lié à NoCut®à la sortie de l’usine, le montage
n’est pas nécessaire.
10 Comment monter NoCut® sleeve
I. Insérez le dispositif d’arrimage dans une des ouvertures de la gaine.
II. Glissez la gaine de protection sur le dispositif d’arrimage jusqu’à ce
que son milieu protège le dispositif d’arrimage contre les charges aux
arêtes coupantes.
Cela peut être compliqué avec les longues gaines de protection
